we have got our boy name down pat - I can do boys names, its what I know.
I thought we had the girls name down pat as well. Then today I came across another name I like that is sticking in my head. no idea what Dh thinks of it yet so it all might be for moot but
Erin
or
Carmen????
middle name was to be Paige - but Dhs brother is very sick at the moment so I suspect we would go with Shane or a more femine version of it.
Surname is the same as a stinky male polli called Mark who gets in trouble a lot starts with L

I prefer Paige to either of those but Erin is definitely far better than Carmen. Carmen is too dated sounding for my liking.

Yeah but if she's a Carmen then she gets to wear fruit on her head!

I love Erin...but do not love Carmen.
But I think your surname ends with M and if it were me I'd be looking for something that ends with a different sound. That's just me though...very pedantic that way.
Do love Erin and Erin Paige is lovely.

I prefer Erin, but like Paige more..
I agree with PP that the two names ending with "en" sound may not be great with "am" surname..?

Definitely Carmen! Erin does nothing for me, and I don't think it's very pretty at all.
Carmen Paige is gorgeous.

I'm not a fan of Paige.
I like Erin, and I would like Carmen if I didn't have a negative association with someone with that name - so either is lovely.
Unfortunately they don't match as first and middle name...
ETA : A friend of DP's daughter is Erin Kendra, which I think is gorgeous.

Paige Erin would be my favourite, but if I had to pick out of Erin and Carmen I would definitely go with Erin.

Carmen reminds me too much of another Australian former politician.
I like Erin Paige or to honour his brother you could pick Erin Shayna.

Yay for Erin - I love this name. I nearly had a granddaughter Erin but he was a boy. I really don't like Carmen.

My pick would be Carmen, which is lovely, and not heard much these days, but if you chose Aerin instead of Erin, then I would say they're both equally lovely.

Erin is great.
But I'm biased as that is my name

Just be aware, it can often get shortened to "EZZAAAA!!"

Erin is a beautiful and very underused name I reckon.
Not at all keen on Carmen though, sounds too 80's to me, NMS....
