If you did a temp chart while ttc did you notice an implantation dip? If so did any of you get two implantations dips? A buddy in my buddy group has two dips and is pregnant and I just wondered if anyone here also got two? Was there anything in your chart that indicated two babies?

Hi mums the word

There was nothing in my chart to indicate twins at all. It barely indicated a chance of being pregnant till after 6dpo. At 6dpo I went to my GP thinking my progesterone levels weren't high enough cause I kept getting low post O temps and I made her give me a 7dpo BT to test my levels. Then after 6dpo my chart started climbing but was still very unremarkable compared to previous cycles until 12dpo where my temp stayed up where in previous cycles it'd gone down.

How far apart are the temp dips? If there's several days between the dips it's highly unlikely that it's necessarily because of twins and could just be one of those things that happens with temp charts. There is much debate as to whether "implantation dips" really do occur or not. Suggest to the person to do a post in the charting thread where hopefully Carla (Possum123) will get a look as if anyone knows how to read it a chart it's our Carla wink.gif

The 2nd dip is at 13dpo - quite late to be an implantation dip so not so sure.

Any chance you've had your hcg levels done? Mine at 14dpo were 890!

I see you'd been taking clomid therefore an increased chance of having O'd more than one egg...

I'd be really really interested to see what Carla reckons tho.

Hi girls
Thought I'd add my chart too, as I have two dips too! And with both Mums being twins (DH's and mine), I'd be very interested! I'll put it in charting too

Hi Pas

Possum123 provided an explanation in the charting forum for Mort so you might want to have a read of that.

Twins are only inherited through the mother's side of the family so the twins on your DH's side are irrelevant. Is your mum a non-identical or identical twin? Only non-identical (fraternal) twins are heridtary.

However! You can of course conceive fraternal twins regardless of it being heriditary, likewise identical twins can happen to anyone.

Ah, thanks Butterscotch. Did see Carla's post. That's good to know about the hereditary bit - should rule me out then as my mum's an identical twin. Phew! Wasn't really planning on 4 kids! Thanks again
