I am 31 weeks pregnant and they tell me based on 20 week ultrasound that it is another boy.

We have a DS Oliver and a DD Ashleigh. We unintentionally named our first two with the theme of vowel names with botanical meanings. Initially when I realised the theme I was stuck on trying to find another name to fit in with the theme but I have basically given that up as a lost cause (too hard). I do tend to like vowel names though.

After much discussion I suggested the name Xavier to DH and he has grabbed onto it and I am now having trouble even getting him to consider any other names.

I have some issues with Xavier though. I worry that it is too popular (I know Oliver is too!). I also think that it sounds too close to Oliver with the "v" and the "er". Also it just doesn't seem to gel in my head to think of this baby as Xavier.

I am after some other suggestions that I can put to DH.

Middle name will likely be Sean (DH's choice) and the surname is the name of a very common family "restaurant" with golden arches as its logo.

Please help.

I could almost have written this post OP! We're struggling with #2 DS too and Oliver is our first born. We also prefer vowel names and although there is no DD in the mix it's very hard!!
Our list so far is:

Adam
Austin
Edward
Miles
Oxford

This is a short list of current faves - I think we both know Oxford wont make it but we both love it for now.

I also like Xavier and don't think the similarity is a problem - we have a Xavier in the family already so no consideration for us.

I will be stalking your thread for any ideas I haven't had yet biggrin.gif
Gudrun
Fraser
Edward
Eamon
Emmett
Julian
Reuben
Tobias
Jeremy

Since you already have an A name and an O name i would suggest you go for one of the other vowels E, I or U just to mix things up and so your kids don't have the same initials. With that in mind;
Oliver, Ashleigh and Ethan
Oliver, Ashleigh and Ewen
Oliver, Ashleigh and Eddie (Edward)
Oliver, Ashleigh and Ervin (or Irvin?)
Oliver, Ashleigh and Elliot
Oliver, Ashleigh and Isaac
Oliver, Ashleigh and Ion (or Ian) or (Eion)
Oliver, Ashleigh and Usher

or to go with the botanical theme
Oliver, Ashleigh and Jarrah
Oliver, Ashleigh and Sage
Oliver, Ashleigh and Forest
Oliver, Ashleigh and Clay
