I have been very quiet We have just had a natural month deciding to try with no clomid and see what happens in Jan a clomid Cycle we got very faint......

But then it ended with AF 3days later FS said it was a chemical Preg???

We went on another clomid cycle in feb NOTHING so we thought lets have a month off in march then 1more clomid and the on to IVF.....

I am on day 26 and got a ?????????

It it a water line???? (every1 I have asked says they can see 2 lines)???

Whats this Chemical Preg? and if I was going el natural then in theroy there is no chemicals????

What does it mean???

Any advice would be great

Hi bettinae (I have posted in the clomid cycles before, but now just post in the TTC with PCOS, but in a couple of the others - the clomid cycles, and occasionally the TTC with long irregular cycles, since they both still apply to me).

From what I understand a chemical pregnancy is that you actually conceive, so it happens in natural cycles too, you do an early HPT which shows positive, but then AF still occurs either on time, or within a couple of days of when she's usually due. There's an embryo there, which starts producing hcg, but either then doesn't implant properly, or doesn't stick, so you get a +ve because there is hcg, but it hasn't hung on long enough to be classified as a pregnancy :-(.

Did you have a trigger shot in Jan? If you did, that would actually have given you a false positive, because the trigger shot is hcg.

Purely on what I've read, no personal experience in this area either, evap lines are white or grey, if there's colour, no matter how faint, that's a +ve. Hope it is a 2nd line and that it's a sticky one.

other then that the chem pg means there was a chemical change ( eg your egg tried to implant) but that it didnt work

book in with dr/gyn/fs as soon as to get all your levels checked so you can monitor incase you ahve another chem pg.... other then that good luck

Ladies I will complecate things more and say that I just tested with another brand and -??????????

Two things - different brands have different levels of sensitivity, so at this stage it is quite possible that one brand will show +ve, and the other -ve.

Also, time of day. FMU has a higher concentration of hcg, so it is quite possible, even using the same brand, for FMU to show a +ve, and in the afternoon show -ve, especially this early on, seeing you're still only day 26. It's quite possible that afternoon urine simply doesn't have enough hormone in it for the test to pick up.

Try and be strong, and hold off doing another one til day 28, using FMU, and stop torturing yourself .

jorgo: Sorry I dont really know what a water line is I think that it is a line where it would have been 2lines and the urine sits in there after while and it is just a faint looking line ?????

I dont really know how to explain it but I have grabbed on to the theory rather than actually letting myself think that it is + ???
