I have 2 young boys, Juda Vincent & Jago Stephen, so we want a more unique name for our little girl that matches well with her brothers.

The middle name will be Joselle (pronounced Giselle, but altered spelling to salute my brother Josh) and last name Toth is pronounced Tote.

The names are:

Avalita Joselle Toth
Aviena Joselle Toth
Adylita Joselle Toth

Your boys names are beautiful, but not keen on your girls list TBH. Of the 3 I prefer Adylita, but even then it's a bit of a tongue twister. Also, given your surname isn't pronounced as it's spelt I would be hesitant to alter the spelling of Giselle. Just my opinion of course, but if I were you I'd head back to the drawing board.

All power to you for wanted to honour your brother...but I cannot see how you will get anyone to pronounce the middle name as Giselle.

I don't like any of the at all and I've got no idea how you could possibly pronounce Joselle and Giselle the same.

I agree. I'm seeing Jo-sell.

I'm not keen on any of the first names as is but would like Adelita much better, or Adelina.
mummycrimson
Thankyou, how would you expect Joselle to be pronounced? To me it's very clear that it could only be Giselle, or Joss-elle, which really isn't so different from Giselle?

Jo-selle is the only way I can see it - which isn't a bad thing, it's just not Gi-selle.

As above, I would pronounce it Jo-sell, like "Jo sells seashells by the sea shore". To say Joselle and Giselle are the same is like saying Joseph and Jiseph are the same, they're just not.
MakeLoveNotBacon
I prefer Adelita to Adylita - Adylita just looks funny.

What about Joss as MM? Like Joss Stone?

From your spelling I would pronounce it Jo-selle. Gi & Jo are different...completely.

Interesting girls names and I've never heard any of them before

I like Aviena Joselle the best. It think it's cute.
Unfortunately I'm with the others on pronouncing Joselle like Giselle. It's lovely that you want to include your brother in the name, but I think you can't have your cake and eat it too as it were. You'll have to get very used to people always pronouncing it as Jo-sell, not Gi-sell.

I really like Adelita spelt like this.

I used to know an Amaryl Toth which I really like too. Otherwise Amarylis/Amaryllis is really cool too.

I think 'A' is a good letter for more exotic naming.

ETA Others: Anahita, Atisa

I pretty much agree with all the PPs that the name Joselle would more likely be pronounced Jo-sell or Jozz-elle than Giselle.

Joscelin / Joscelyn or Joss would make a much better middle name if you wanted to include a Josh sound in there.

Or even it might be better as a first name - am I the only one who thinks Joscelyn Giselle (or Giselle Joscelyn for that matter) sound quite cute in combination?

As for your top 3, erm, I think I would have to go with Aviena of the three.

Avalita Toth kind-of sounds like "have a little tote", and Adylita Toth has the same issue with "had a little tote". Not exactly a common phrase but enough to make her have to repeat herself constantly.
naturalista
I think Aviena sounds quite nice actually, if not a little made up, but still has a nice sound to it.

Agree that Joselle is different to Giselle, but so what? I'd say it as Jozelle and that sounds fine to me. Actually I'm not a fan of Giselle, as it sounds too much like Jiz.

You caught me in a very frank and immature mood!

Sorry not keen on those girls names. Here are some suggestions to go with your boys names:

Juda Vincent, Jago Stephen and Harleigh Joselle
Juda Vincent, Jago Stephen and Aurora Joselle
Juda Vincent, Jago Stephen and Indigo Joselle
Juda Vincent, Jago Stephen and Indiana Joselle
Juda Vincent, Jago Stephen and Allegra Joselle
Juda Vincent, Jago Stephen and Vienna Joselle
Juda Vincent, Jago Stephen and Sierra Joselle
Juda Vincent, Jago Stephen and Nikita Joselle
Juda Vincent, Jago Stephen and Aryana Joselle
MamaP
Not so keen on your girls names OP, but LOVE the name Jago - I was desperate to have a boy so I could use this name (I'm from Cornwall!) biggrin.gif
RedsGirl
I like Adelita.

Joselle = Jose- ell or Joze - ell to me .
liclattleprincessE
have you considered Adele as a first name? i think its a bit more classic but its still very uncommon...not so keen on the short list above sad.gif
liclattleprincessE
oh, and i realise Adele Joselle doesn't really work!
But TBH i don't really like joselle or giselle...plus don't think people will pronounce joselle the way you want.

How about...

Adele Josie
Adele Jo

Still a tribute but maybe think about adapting it to a different name

mrsjessop
How about Jocelyn as a tribute to Josh?

For first names, how about Adeline or Adelaide?

Bellefin
How about Araminta? I see it thrown around these boards a bit but no one chooses it despite lots saying they love it. I wish I liked it more, I think it's the mint bit that puts me off. Maybe you like it anyway? I think it's Greek.

I agree Joselle isn't Giselle, it's a different name.
April girl
I thought Adelita is actually spelt Adalita. I like Adalita.
MelZa
I think Adelita (this spelling) Joselle is pretty original.gif (I too would pronounce it Jo-selle but still like it just as much as Giselle if not more wink.gif
*Razzels*
Wow those names are awful.
Katyna
I love Avalita, and I totally see Joselle as Giselle.... I went to school with someone called Whare (pronounced Fuddy), so it is up to you how you see fit to pronounce it. Besides, who apart from family is going to call her by her first AND second name? Dont let the negativity bring you down, they are all beautiful names, and you've given yourself a hard decision...

BTW... my name is not kat-why-na, or katinya, so if you spell a name how u want to spell it, people will pronounce it like you want them to pronounce it (my name is kat-eena)
MelanywithaY
Ok so here is my thoughts ... It's a middle name people she can spell it how ever she darn well likes lol It's not hard to correct someone, like I have been doing my whole life with Melany, yes seems simple doesn't it, but yet some people seem to think its Mel-ain-eee!

I just want to throw in I know a girl names Jerusha and I think its very unique and pretty!

Anywho, spell the middle name how you want! As for the first names ... I like them all. Adalita, and Addy might be nice nic name.

Good for you!

Mel
darksideofthemoon
Going against the grain here, but I would actually pronounce Joselle pretty similarly to Giselle. I wouldn't say Jo-sell. I think Joselle is pretty.

Not mad on any of your first names, I think they're all a bit of a mouthful with Joselle tbh. Definitely don't go Adylita. Adrienne?
