What do you use for your 3 year old?
At the moment we are in his room at least 5 times a night just to organize his quilt and tuck him in.

Would you use a sleeping bag for them all the time?

Yes maybe a sleeping bag or by the age of 3 realize he might just want mummy and daddy in his room and not just to be tucked in? He should be able to work it out? I feel sorry for you getting up so much. You must be tired!

If you are worried he is cold, and that is why you are fixing blankets then perhaps start to put some warmer PJs on at night? Does he call out to you to do it or is it force of habit?

DS is the same. the minute he rolls over in bed his blankets are off him. He never cares though, but i always check when I go to bed or if i get up during the night. Last week when it started getting cooler I put some warmer PJs on him and some warm bed socks. That way when the blankets come off he was still warm.
You can get sleep suits from target that are super warm (and if it's extra cold, you can add pj's underneath too) I've always put these on my 2 over winter as they always kicked blankets off.

If he's on a single bed, have you thought about turning the quilt on it's side and tucking it in right under the bed on one side that way it is only a matter of pulling the quilt back over him? (Hope that made sense)

Good Luck

We always check when we go to bed.
He is in a single bed and if its twisted, folded or on the floor. He can't work out how to pull it flat over him. We were having lessons today "tuck teddy in" and i was showing him how to straighten it up and tuck teddy in.

My 2 year old is in the same room and he always wakes up as well. huh.gif He can tuck himself in and organize his quilt how he wants it. Although he is in a cot.

DH has a quilt in summer with a sheet under it.

And in winter he has a doona.

I tuck it in all around, like they do in hospitals.. really nice and tight.

It's usually nice and tightly tucked in the next morning too. Sometimes its moved down the bed, but i've noticed that DS also just sort of moves down the bed with it laughing2.gif

He's never once woken up to ask us to adjust his bedding.
