With 6 odd weeks to go we still haven't found a girls name that 'pops' for us.

We have chosen Rhys James for a boy as it 'poped' for us, we knew that would be our name.

We had originally chosen Lily Rose for a girl (after my nanna) but MIL has made nasty comments about the name now we are unsure if we want to use it.

Below are some of the names which we like but don't love or are too popular atm.

Lily, Violet, Imogen, Ruby, Bella, Ella

Can you suggest something new. We need to find a name we love. I don't want to settle.
imamumto3
keeping the the RJ theme of your boys name, how about Rebecca Jane

Don't worry about what your MIL says.

This is your baby, she has had her chance.

Go with what you love, she will soon get used to it!

Thanks for the suggestions. I forgot to add that I am a horticulturist and Bush Regenerator so flower/plant names are great.

I chose Lily Rose orginally because my favourite flower is a flax lily and my nans name was also two flower names - Daphne Rose.

Due to my profession some flower/plant names are out even though I love them like Willow, Holly and Ivy.

Will speak with DF when he is home next and see what he thinks. I would love to use Lily Rose even though I know I will get negative feedback if I do but maybe we can compromise and go with something else even if it is too popular like:

Violet Imogen St----n
Violet Ella
Violet Aurora
Ella Rose
Ella Ruby
Ruby something

Argh its just too hard.
Craptacular
I really love Lily Rose.

Otherwise I like Lily Pearl.
Beth E
Louise Kate?

And here's one from left field - Bronte (my niece's name)..
Gudrun
From everything you have mentioned I would pick Daphne Rose or Lily Rose.

What about Rose Lilly, same sentiment just switched around. Rose is devine as a first name.

I love Ella Ruby, Violet Imogen or Violet Aurora from the names you've mentionws but I'd love Imogen Violet or Aurora Violet more.
