Hi Guys,
My precious little ones are already 19 months old! How time flies!

Just wanted to know what sort of personalities your little ones have?

My first born is a cheeky little bugger, always on the go and won't sit still.

Number two is the opposite. She is quiet and shy and loves to just sit down on mum or dad and watch tv or read a book.

Is the first born the more outgoing one?
What personalities do your multiples have??

Hi Jo,
You have just described my girls to a tee! The funniest thing is that Hannah (the "active" one) was always twin 2 in the scans we had. Then in the weeks before they were born, she wiggled her way down in front of Emma so that she was born first. So typical. LOL

My girls are fairly similar in personality. In fact sometimes I think they swap characteristics! Just when I'm thinking that one is the more outgoing, they'll change around so that the other is. Eleanor (born 2nd) is more concerned about looking after her sister (eg I'll give a drink to Eleanor first and she'll pass it on to Harriet, even finding her to do so) - so that gets rid of the "older" one being more protective.

So in general they're fairly similar ie both cheeky but maybe in different ways (although they both pointed at themselves when I asked them where the monkeys were at the zoo - maybe I've called them cheeky monkeys too often!).

You've got me thinking about their personalities now but I can't really differentiate them too much - I'd say they share about 80% of the same characteristics. Are your twins MZ (identical) or not? I wonder if they're more alike if they're MZ?

My girls are also very much alike in personality.... and like Maree just when I think that one of them is becoming more outgoing or whatever they swap on me!

But in general their personalities are quite similar. They like similar things and are react in similar ways and are both total ratbags at the moment! Perhaps though they are the same in different ways if that makes sense! For example - Neither of them like it when the other one pinches a toy they have and both protest loudly - but Zoe will scream in a high pitched wail whereas Izzy will cry real tears!

I would say the biggest difference between my girls is in physical ability as Zoe is doing much better in gross and fine motor development that Izzy so she is a little more pushy and rough phsyically... but Izzy has done some major catching up in the past two weeks and is getting her own back now!

But I'll debunk the first born myth too as Zoe is our twin 2 (as well as the donor twin in TTTS) and was a LOT smaller and sicker when they were small... but now she is taller, heavier and physically more advanced and definitely enjoying moments of being able to get her own back on her sister for stealing all the food in utero!

Oh our girls are MZ twins too...

Kate

We are moving house! Yipee!!

My girls have some similar characteristics and some very different.

Agreed with Kate and Maree that they seem to swap a lot of the time eg. one trying to be good the other being a terror, and I have noticed this from an early age.

The "outgoingness" is also something that I think changes between the two.

Kelsey is more outgoing at the moment and is trying so hard to be good. She is also a bit of a clean freak.

Georgia is still having seperation anxiety issues and is a real tantrum thrower at the moment. She loves getting things messy and doesn't pack up after herself.

It is very odd as previously they were the other way around :quest:

My girls are mz too.

[color=Teal]Our boys are quite different, in both personalities and looks!

Kai's always been the cheekier of the 2, whereas Ryan can be a bit precious! But, they're both rough and tumble when it comes to play time!! Ryan is definitely the thinker and tends to stay back and suss things out first, where Kai just runs in at 100 miles an hour!! ;p

Although our babies are only 6.5 weeks old its amazing to see how different they are (obviously different as they are b/g)
Hayden Twin 1 - Always quiet in utero, now very placid and only really grumbles when something is in the nappy or he is hungry, otherwise happy to sit and listen to a story and just take in the atmosphere.
also smaller born and still smaller, quieter - much quieter! Hayden is a splitting image of Phil and has gained his placid and caring nature already.
Brooklen Twin 2 - Extreme and full on in utero, never really changed position much always moving and had to let us know she was there! Now very attention seeking, loves to huggle and snuggle up, whimpers at nothing so you will talk to her! LOL Will sit still for a short time but always busy looking and being an esmay watson!! LMAO She is much like me - always wanting to have a chat!

Hayden is very concerned about brooklen and her well being - that melts my heart!

I'm with you guys 100%

see vanessa and Caz' post......Hamish is Joel/Ryan and Dylan is Cam/Kai

This is a bit of a vent but my MIL introduces Dylan as "The restless one" and "the cranky one" is Hamish, Poor little Mish is much more reserved and will not readily smile at strangers unless he likes them - A good judge of character I think. Dylan is more of a show pony and enjoys attention.

Lauren
PS see picture, Dylan is telling the story, Hamish is the one listening
