I've been putting it off for ages - it never seemed like the right time - bad I know. But last night I relented and put the plastic protectors on the twins beds. Got them all ready for bed, explained everything to them, lots of reassuring hugs - which I think were more for me than them - and off they went. I woke them up to go to the toilet when I was getting ready for bed, no problems there and they were asleep again in 30 seconds flat. When they got up this morning we had dry beds, happy kids, and one relieved mummy. original.gif

I'm soooo proud of my darlings - now they're well and truly growing up. Here's to more dry nights original.gif

Well done to you and your little darlings. Not that we're thinking about TT yet - nice to hear a success story.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! We aren't upto that yet.(well the girls might be but i'm not) but as I go to a mums group where all the kids are a bit older than mine and are all being TT it's a huge achievement... Great for the budget as well!!!

Good on you! I'm going to bite the bullet and do that too soon... my boys are day TT but still have the occasional night time wee (and last week a poo!). So I've been putting them in pullups but will stop soon. I've been making a big deal of it when they wake up dry; which is most mornings.

Last night I didn't get to bed until late; and then Mikey appeared at my bedside at 1.30am and wanted to go to the toilet. So I took him and then he went back to bed. Then at 3.30am my poor Patrick had a coughing attack and needed Ventolin. Then my daughter stirred at 6.20am. Normally they all sleep through beautifully but last night was busy and I'm exhausted. Both boys woke up dry so that was great... but my busy night doesn't make me keen to add cleaning up bed-wetting accidents to my nights!

BUT... I've got to have a go at it soon. A girlfriend with twins made her kids' beds with two layers when they started night TT. Mattress, then towels and a sheet; then the plastic protector and another sheet. That way if they do have an accident you can take off the sheet and mattress protector and they can get straight back into bed. No need to find sheets and make up the bed in the middle of the night. She also put spare undies, PJs, wipes and a towel in a handy spot in the room just in case.

Well I'm rambling... must be the tiredness! Well done Maryanne and kids- hopefully we'll be doing the same soon.
Cheers, Maycee
