Oh that's so cool!
My girls (and I guess DH and I as well ) are involved in a few studies regarding prem babies that we volunteered for when the girls were born. Since they are also identical twins we've also been co-opted into a few other studies along the way as it's always useful to have genetically identical siblings to compare in various studies.
We've always found the studies to be really interesting and everyone is really friendly and helpful. It's also meant we've had access to alot of extra information and support that we might not have known about or had access too. When the girls were about 11 weeks old (term corrected) we went in for tests for one of the studies and it was so great to be able to chat to a psychologist who specialised in prem babies about how we were going, we got so many great tips and it just helped so much to have someone to talk to! And since I always worry about my girls development and what impact the TTTS might have had it's been really nice to have the extra input and reassurance from lots of assessments and tests they otherwise wouldn't have had.
I've actually not gotten around to registering for the twin study program but do intend to do it eventually as we've had nothing but positve exprience from being involved in the premmie research.
Hope you enjoy your experinece and we'd love to hear all about it!
Kate
