I don't know if this is the right place to put this, or if there is any right place, but I just have been thinking about what I was told after Indi was born.
When her placenta was delivered the midwife asked my permission to send it to pathology. She said that there was a calcified piece on my placenta, which had a "feotal outline" (which I found strange), and was almost certain that Indi had started out as a twin. I just gave her permission and didn't think much more about it.
Now I find myself curious about it though. The midwife said it is very rare, she was in her 50's and said that she had only seen it twice in her career. Has anyone ever heard of this?
Happy for a mod to move this if this is the wrong place for it.
