Hello girls and boys

I have posted here before, just a bit background, we tried for a long time, nothing happened, saw FS, did all the tests, had a failed then a successful hycosy test, showing everything's good, got pcos, but not too bad( it was not show with blood test, only with ultrasound)

anyway, this month, we tried for baby, i kinda of think it wont happen without medication or treatment, so its more like for the sake of trying so we dont waste another cycle and planning to start treatment next cycle or the cycle next ( clomide maybe? due to see FS again), so I am fairly relaxed and did not put too much pressure and hope into it.

4 days ago, i started testing (using the cheap but ultra sensitive ones , and that was the 7th day after ovulation, approx according to my temp and ovulation tester) there was a very very very very faint second line, but i was certain that was a line, so my hope was up, and then test everyday, with first urine in the morning there was always a second line, very very very very faint and when use afternoon urine, there was only one line and yesterday i bought a early pregnancy test from chemist and it was a very very faint positive result but it is alot more clear than the internet tester, ( however all the ones i use are the most senstivie ones dectecting least level of hcg)

so as you can guess , my hope is raised and i went to GP to get a confirmation, and tested with their tester and got a negative result,

just want to know if any of you have experience like this? false alarm with pregnancy tester?

thanks in advance, fingers crossed this is my month!!!

hi trying,

From what I have heard, the tests the Drs use are not very sensitive. Did they do a blood test?

And it is still very early to get a positive result - you would only be 11dpo I think, so its still before your period is due.

Given that you have gotten a faint positive on two different brands of tests, I think it sounds good, but I would probably wait a couple more days and then test again, hopefully your line will have gotten stronger. And then go to the Dr after your period is late. Ask the Dr to do a blood test which will be able to definitely tell if there is any pregnancy hormone in your blood.

Good luck!

yeah, i have been trying again and again everyday, the second line did seem to be darker , so i went to GP again today, still negative , and was told its too early to do a blood test so i will check wtih them again toward end of next week

right now i dont want to put too much hope up, but couldnt help. hopefully things will work out , otherwise will just begin clomide next cycle.

I would have my hopes up with this too. The two lines means positive. Try to relax (if you can) and get a blood test when AF is 2 t 3 days late.

I had 3 + HPT then went to the doctors and got a - I asked for a blood test and it was + DD is now two! Doctors tests are crap!

I use Clear Blue. A bit exxy for one but I find it really sensitive.
I got the internet cheapie ones and at the same time I did the Clear Blue ones, the internet cheapie ones came up negative! Only after a week did the internet cheapie ones showed a second line.

This happened to me over 3 years ago. I was distraught.
Turned out I was pregnant :)

Good luck!

I had this with DD2 - the second line showed up on my home one - but not on the Drs. When I got a blood test - yep preggers!! Goodluck!
mrsboof
The GPs ones are nothing special - just cheapies. I'd request a blood test if you are sure on the HPT.

I did 2 home tests that came back positive 1 3 days before missed period then on the day of it. I went to the Dr and did his pee test 3 days later and it was negative. He said I may have lost the pregnancy during that time so we were beside ourselves. Did a blood test to confirm and it came back positive, was just too early for his test he said the supermarket ones are much more sensitive. That BFN has now become a 10 week old chatterbox. Good luck I hope you get that positive once the blood test is done.
