Just wanting to get feedback on what others think of the name Leanna.

I like names with Anna in them but DH not keen on Annalise. He thinks Anna is too plain. And I'm not into Annabel.

fairylite
It's ok, I prefer Deanna but can't explain why.

ETA: I don't think it's bogan in the slightest.
Bellefin
I don't mind it, if a bit 80's but better than Leanne. What I really like is Liana (pron: Lee-ahna). That is a great name.

ETA: How about Annabeth, Johanna, Marianna...there are probably heaps if you google.
Gudrun
I like it a lot. Also like the Liana spelling. And I like Eliana. Otherwise there's Luciana, Loredana, Adriana, Ariana, Christiana, Marianna, Miriana, Hosanna, Joanna/Johanna, Georgiana, Juliana, Annabeth, Anastasia, Dianna, Romana, Rosanna, Liliana...

Would you prnounce it Lee-anna or Lee-arna?

I like the Lee-arna pronounciation but I think it needs to be spelled Liana. Other than that I don't particularly like it. I certainly wouldn't think Anna would be an obvious nicknames for Leanna assuming the Lee-anna pronounciation.

Since you did ask...... Very "bogan" IMO.

Anna is very pretty though
~Lila~
My SIL is Lianna pr Lee-anna. I prefer Liana pr Li-ar-na original.gif

I think it is quite pretty, and not bogan.

What about Alanna (pronounced Elana)?
kpingitquiet
I have a gorgeous little redheaded step-niece with this name (pron. Lee-ann-ah). Love!
..Willowy Wisps..
Hi original.gif

What about Annice.....not quite anna but another form, which personally I love wub.gif
Bel Rowley
I don't like it, I think Liana is prettier.

Why would you pronounce Alanna as Elana? huh.gif
*soy-latte*
Bogan. Lea is nice though original.gif
fifi-trixibelle
I really like Liana, which I pronounce Lee-ar-nah but I'm definitely not a fan of Leanna.
mad madam mim
nms but I love Anna obviously

what about
Lilyanna
Anastasia
Ariana
Georgiana
Hannah
Juliana
Susannah
Savannah
Tiana

dimensionk
I don't like it, it doesn't roll off the tongue properly (in my opinion anyway).

I knew a "Leona" and always thought that was a pretty name. Then again, she was extremely pretty so it's easy to be biased.

Leona = pronounced lee-own-ah

This.

Also, I think just Anna would be fantastic.

I have a gorgeous big red headed daughter with this name (won't say how it is spelt as I really will be a bogan rolleyes.gif )

I must say, we have had lots of positive comments on the name and my daughter loves it. Would we choose the name again? - definitely!!
NotGirly
Have you thought of Annika or Anneke?
MamaP
I do think it's a bit bogan - agree with PP's prefer Liana
Dabri
I like Liana as a name as well - too bad I can't put it on my own shortlist!
Mama Ho
I love Leanna as a name. I think it's very pretty and not in the slightest bit bogan at all. Although in saying that, I originally fell in love with the name after seeing a character on The Young and the Restless named Leanna. Now that's bogan lol.

Not a fan of Liana, it sounds like you're trying to be posh
kikinz82
Mmmmm..... not really a fan, as per PP, reminds me of Leanne. What about Laena (although it doesn't meet your Anna criteria), it's pronounced Lay-nah?
Robbie
I would spell it Liana. I prefer Eliana, it seems more complete somehow.

Good luck, Anna is a beautiful name and I'm sure you'll find something that suits! Gudrun gave a glorious list earlier original.gif
Craptacular
It's okay. Not bogan IMO but a bit dated. I like the suggestions of Hannah or Breanna or just Anna on it's own.
IndigoDingo
Well, I'm not sure I know any bogans so couldn't comment on what names they like! wink.gif
However, I do know a wonderful, very beautiful, kind, intelligent woman named Leanna. I personally love the name. I think it is feminine and elegant, without being too girly girl. I also think it has a nice international feel that would be understood by people in different cultures quite easily (more important now in this global world we live in!)

I would pronounce it "LEE-AH-nuh"
MnM
Not a huge fan.

Deanna is lovely though and of course Hannah too... or how about Annabelle .
zara-b
I don't think it's a bogan name. It's quite nice, but nms. I love the name Leonie as an alternative.
MummyFrog80
I looooovvvveee Liana (LEE-AH-nuh) and that's what we would have had if this LO was a she....but 'she's' a he so we're on the hunt for boys names! Good luck with your decision
soelluet
NMS sorry
boo boos mumma
Yes I quite like it -

I have a Reanna - (so anna at the end) and its a beautiful name.

My friend Deanna had a girl after me and named her little girl Sienna - I think all 'anna' names are very pretty - so just another 2 options for you.

Good luck.
