Hi just bought this pram today. Babies Galore catalogue says toy bar is adjustable/removable - I've worked out how to remove it - but can't work out how to adjust it - or is this false advertising? Also can't work out how to put the boot cover on.

thanks
sunshinetwin
Hi
I have the same pram (I think the one with the 2 canopies?) and love it!

The toy bar has 2 button on each side (round buttons) and you press them both in to move bar up and down.

Boot cover does fit, takes a bit of stuffing around but you don't put the velcro across the centre part otherwise you'll have trouble.

Hope that makes sense, Send me a PM if you need a hand.

Cheers
Rhonda

Yep - the one with two canopies - my toy bar definately doesn't have any buttons to press - i wonder if I have an older model - typical if I do!!!
sunshinetwin
Thats really strange!
Your pram would definately be newer than mine. Mine is just over 12 mths old. Maybe a call to the baby shop and maybe the put the wrong toy bar with it??

Sorry I can't help!

All the best getting it sorted out.
Cheers

Just had another look at my pram and the one on the Love N Care Website - mine is slightly different - the hoods on mine are more rounded. So either I got a really old model (which I doubt) - or you have the old model, and I have the new model - without the adjustment toy bar (which which have been nice, but wasn't the reason I bought it - reason for buying was fitting through a standard door) and Love N Care haven't updated there website in a while obviously.

Anyway here are pics of mine.

Hi Mrs Blud

I have just put this pram on lay-by over the weekend (apparently your warranty commences when you bring it home, so we'll keep it at the shops until closer to the BIG DAY) We also chose it as it is narrower than the others and fits through a standard doorway. I don't remeber them showing me how to remove the toy bar, sorry....but I do have a question for you about it if you don't mind answering. The one in the store was a black speckly one and I really like the colour of yours. Can you tell me what it's called? Is it Crystal Blue?

Yep that colour is crystal blue. Sounds like the one you saw was the destiny. My last pram - a Love N Care Twin Cruiser was black and grey - very boring. I liked the burgundy one, but they only had a crystal blue, or destiny coloured one.
Drew
Hi again Mrs Blud

Thanks so much for replying to me. I have called the store and the one on the floor WAS the destiny as you said. Apparently that's the new colour. I like yours much better, so have called the store to swap it! I was actually leaning towards the Babylove twin as I liked the look of it better (probably the colours), but the practical reasoning won out and the fitting through doorways factor sold me on the love n care.

I hope you get an answer soon on the toy bar. Have you tried calling Love n care direct to ask them? They might be able to talk you through it over the phone or tell you where you can go to find out how to do it....Good luck. Let us know how you get on....

Hi Julie and Drew,
Sorry it's taken a few days (been at work). I had a look at the pictures of your pram Julie and it is different to mine. I also did a google search for the new model and it does say removeable/adjustable toy bar. I called Love N Care in Qld, curosity got the better of me. The lady I spoke to said they did'nt have a new demo model yet so could'nt help? It all is a bit weird... Sorry I don't know anything further to help...
Congrats Drew on choosing this pram. You will be so happy with it. It is great!! All the best

A few ladies at the MBA have this pram too and I had a look at there's on Tuesday - and yep I can definately see how their toy bars are adjustable. Mmm it's weird - I wonder if I do have the wrong toy bar on - you'd Love n Care would know wouldn't they! It's not a huge hassle - would be nice to just push it out the way to get the twins in (12 weeks old tomorrow), then to have to remove it (I took it off my old pram and never put it back on), and then put it back on, or leave it off until they are older.

Julie,
Glad to see we kind of have it sorted out! With my toy bar even though it was adjustable, I did'nt use it till the boys were about 8 months old and sitting up more. When you are out feeding them in the pram I found it only got in the way. At that stage I found they were more interested in the hanging toys from the canopy. We now have it back on and boys just put their feet up on it like their little kings!

Hi Mrsblud, Rhonda and Renee

I have just e-mailed Love N Care with some questions about the pram, including the removable toy bar. Once they get back to me I will post their answers here.

One of my other questions was the about the rounded canopy on the one on the Babies Galore website and the ones in the shops and the more square looking one on the Love N Care website....which is the lasted model? Hopefully they reply soon....

Hi ladies

I have received the reply from Love N Care with answers to our questions.....

Q - The photo of the pram on your website looks different to the one on the Babies Galore website and what I have seen on the floor in the shops. Is
the one on your website an older or newer model? The Babies Galore website shows the pram with more rounded hoods.
A - The picture on the Babies Galore is the newer model our website has not yet been updated.

Q - I am sure that the ticket on the pram at Baby Kingdom said that it will take 18kgs each side but on your website it says 22kg.
A - The jogger can take up to 22kg each seat.

Q - Your website says single boot cover but the one in the shops has a zip together twin cover and the babies Galore website says the same describing it as "2 boot covers linked with a zipper" Which is it?
A - It does have separate boot covers although you can also have them joined up, so it allows you to have both covers on at the same time or you can place one at a time its up to you.

Q - The Babies Galore website says the weight of the pram is 16.3kgs whereas at Baby Kingdom they say it's 15kgs. I also called your Revesby office and the lady there said it's around 15kgs.
A - The pram weighs 15kg.

Q - The picture on both your webiste and the babies Galore website doesn't feature head supports but they have them in the shops. Are they included?
A - The padded headrests are a new edition to the jogger and are only available on the new joggers which you have seen at the shops.

Q - Your website also says the pram has an adjustable/removable bumper bar and they also said this in the shop, but someone on one of the forums I read says hers doesn't have a button at the side to remove hers. Is hers the newer or older model?
A - It does have adjustable/removable front bumper bar but not hoods the hoods are designed individually in order to move them freely just in case you may want one side to be put back and the other one to cover
your child. This is also part of the new jogger.

Hope this helps!

Still confused - prehaps I need to ring Babies Galore -

Q - Your website also says the pram has an adjustable/removable bumper bar and they also said this in the shop, but someone on one of the forums I read says hers doesn't have a button at the side to remove hers. Is hers the newer or older model?

your child. This is also part of the new jogger.

MINE DOES NOT HAVE AN ADJUSTABLE BUMPER BAR!
Drew
Mrs Blud

This answer also confused me a bit. I was asking about the bumper bar and the reply reverted to talking about hoods?

Why don't you try calling Babies Galore or even Love N Care themselves and ask them about the bumper/toy bar.
