Hello there, our first primary school Individual Learning Plan (ILP) meeting is coming up and I want to be organised/informed - but it's very hard to do this with the lack of information provided (and shared) on the actual process and what support is available. I mean how do you know what to ask if you don't know what's available? Eg Learning Support Assistants, Alphasmart etc

I was hoping to hear from those who're familiar with the process and who can share their ideas/success stories/things to look out for, possibly regrets? I've heard it can be a pretty frustrating process.

Hopefully others can learn from this post too.

Thanks in advance original.gif

PS - Has anyone received an Alphasmart from the school? I only just found out about these.

i googled the alphasmart and it seems to be only for word processing as far as i could tell? probalby ok for older kids but at this stage i'd rather ryan be writing himself (though he doesn't seem to have fine motor skills at this stage)

i emailed the manager of inclusion support a few weeks ago and apparently there is no procedure for ILP's currently as it's under review wacko.gif
