Hi,
So at 2am we my brother and his wife welcomed their twin babies, boy & a girl into the world.
The little Girls name is Aaliyah and the Little Boys name is Rylan.
Family members ALL have their opinions - One hates Rylan, the other thinks Aaliyah and Rylan is too made up and like its not complete names.....
Me?
I quite like it. DH & I loved the name Ryan - but since Dh's nephew was already named that I would never do that (even DHs parents named him Steven after his first cousin was named Steven - Oh and also Dhs sis is Gina, & their cousin Steven's sister is also Gina - very very weird a bit like on my big fat greek wedding where heaps of guyz name was Nick or Nicholas lol).
Anyhow what do u think??
Only thing is my 7month old bub is Natalia - and she gets called 'Talia' by everyone especially the young cousins and already when u say the new bubs name is Aaliyah - My daughter and the cousins say 'what Talia?'.....all confused lol but that will pass.

Congtatulations! Their names are NMS but I still like them. I would have thought Aaliyah was pronounced 'ah-LEE-ah'?

How awesome!!
I wish my sister would have twins!!

I like the names, especially Rylan, I personally wouldn't use Aaliyah but its not a bad name.
I don't find Natalia / Tahlia and Aaliyah similar at all.
Not too sure the point of your post? Just to get opinions on the names? Or see if Aaliyah and Tahlia are similar?
ETA - I pronounce Aaliyah ah-lie-ah, like the singer.

Rylan I have only heard for as a girls name, but then again I think it might be a new trendy take on Ryan???
not my style either, but congrats on the safe arrivals

There is an Aaliyah at my DD's dancing school. Pretty name.
Prefer Ryan to Rylan, but it's not too bad.
Hope the babies are doing well.

I like Aaliyah as a name. It's not made up. It's just not English. It's got a pretty thorough Hebrew/Arabic background.
Rylan, on the other hand, is NMS. Can't please everyone.
Congrats on the twins.
