to all you ladies I am just wondering if you had early indcations that you were having twins..... ie BT results/ MS etc..
and also at what stage were they able to pick up that it was twins on your US?

We knew pretty muich straight away from the extremely high HCG levels I had. Our twin heartbeats were confirmed at 6 weeks (internal scan) and then developed from there. We didnt know of the identical/non-identical situation until about 12 weeks or so.

*Your Ob should be able to tell from the HCG levels and he/she will refer you to have tests at regular intervals to see the increase over time*

I am probably the weirdo but I actually had low HGC levels and had trouble getting a postive HPT even though I knew I was pregnant. So we had no indication it was twins until my first OB visit at 11 weeks when he did a dating scan and there they were!

I had bleeding on Monday and so went to the hosp where they did a BHCG test and an internal, they found the cervix closed but when my BHCG results came back the DR quickly said he would send me for an US....I am 6weeks (well just over now) my levels were just over 60,000 on Monday.
at the US the technician found bub and a heartbeat.. and echo??? aswell as a shadow but that is all I was told, they have booked me in for another US in 10days, so I was just wondering if maybe that's what they were thinking ??

Just went back through my results file and my HCG @ six weeks was 45,898......hmmmmm. Everyone is different, rest up over the next 10 days and I hope your dreams come true of not one healthy baby but 2!!

Hi Ladies,
I didn't find out I was having twins until my first ultrasound at 11weeks. I had the WORST morning sickness I couldn't even get out of bed and threw up 24/7. But by reading these replies it is so strange how everyone is so different.

I had no morning sickness at all and in fact didn't even feel pregnant, I found out it was twins at my 12 week booking in scan!

hi I found out at around 9-10 weeks that we were having twins. My doc suspected when I went for my 1st appt and sent me for a scan to confirm it.

I had severe morning sickness till around 21 weeks.YUK really turns me off wanting to be pregnant again.. Good luck

Hi there ... I found out it was twins with my first HCG level test (IVF/FET)that was done at 2weeks after transfer, it was then confirmed at a 6 week u/s that it was definalty twins.. Best of luck Hope you aren't in suspence for to long
