Hello Name Gurus
We are expecting Boy-Girl twins! And have just started to get serious on the name selection front. For girls we have narrowed the names down to either:
Eleanor
Penelope
Claire
Isobel
But have been having a lot of trouble with boys names. Can you please provide a few suggestions for traditional / old fashioned boys names that may go well with the above girls names. I have some ideas but nothing leaps out and I think I need to go back to the drawing board.
Our surname is short and ryhmes with 'day'.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers
Lou

Love your four girls' names, and can't go past Gudrun's suggestions for boys. Penelope and Julian would be swoon city for me.

Brilliant - Thank you so much for your suggestions, just what we were after, lots of names we hadn't considered.
We quite like:
Thomas
Samuel
Maxwell (I was surprised that DH went for this one first!)
Theodore
Henry
Also love Patrick, Hamish, Matthew, Oliver and Nicholas - but have gorgeous nephews with these names already.
I'm sure I'll be back again for more ideas!
Cheers

Love your girl's names, especially Penelope (my best friend's name) and Isobel (my grandmother, who died before I was born but greatly loved by my mum).
I am not very inventive with names like the PPs but my little one is James, and I think it sounds great with all of the girl's names you have chosen..

I'm no good with thinking up names...but perhaps you could look at it as naming 2 seperate babies, rather than trying to find names that 'match'.
Just choose two that you love & don't worry if they don't match at all. Back when I was working (childcare), I taught triplets called Elizabeth, Jaxon & Bel...I didn't think they 'matched' at all, but they all suited their names

Good luck, I'm sure the perfect name will reveal itself soon
