Hi girls,
Well an update after seeing the surgeon today! Joshy has been booked in for his umbilical hernia repair next Tuesday! I'm just completely stunned at how quickly this is all happening! The surgeon seems really nice so I'm happy about that. I guess paediatric surgeons have to be nice! Anyway, he has to Fast from midnight on Monday and then I have to have him at the hospital by 7:30 Tuesday morning, which means leaving home at 6:30 (that's going to be a shock to the system let me tell you!!) Thankfully it's just a day case thing so I'll be able to bring him home on Tuesday night. DH is taking an RDO that day (he'll stay home with the girls), and probably a carers leave day on the Wednesday just to give me a hand. Apparently I'm allowed to go in with him until he falls asleep from the anaesthetic, and then go in to recovery and be with him while he's waking up. I'm feeling a little apprehensive about the general anaesthetic with Joshy's lung scarring and asthma, but I know he'll be in the best hands!
So cross your fingers for me and my boy girls!!

Hi Nee,
It is so scary isn't it. I have one of mine Jack going in next monday to have a bowel biopsy and some fissures removed. I am dreading going in with him for the aenesthetic but recently had my oldest have an op and went in with him, it is very quick and they fall asleep strait away and they call you to recovery as soon as they start stirring.(at least this prepared me well sort of)
Hope it all goes well, which I'm sure it will.
By the way your sig pictures are fantastic.

[color=Blue]I just wanted to wish you guys all the best. Our boys both had general anaesthetic when they were 11 months old, and they both handled it really well. I got myself all worked up about nothing (well, it's not nothing, but I'm sure you know what I mean!).
Take care, Vanessa

Hi Renee
Good luck with Josh's surgery on Tuesday it is scary but the nurses and doctors at the day surgery unit at the Childrens are great. We had no problems with them when Kaylee had her ears done.
The girls send him a big sloppy kiss especially Jordy. If you need anything just let me know.

Hi Nee, I will now be watching your thread very closely to see how Joshy's surgery goes, especially after our disaster of a hospital visit.
Anyway I hope all goes well for him and I know he will be just fine on Tuesday.

Thanks Nee,
I know I will be really nervous on the day, He is still my baby but I am just really hoping that we will get some long awaited answers. We have to be out of the house early too pretty scary isn't it?

Hi Nee, wishing Josh and you all the best of luck. One of my sons had a general last year and it was all okay. It's not something you'd wish to go through but we found the staff looked after our baby boy so well. Best of luck to you and Kristy too,

Hi Nee,
Thinking of you and wishing you all the best for tomorrow. Jack's little op went really well and he dealt with everything fine. I am so glad it is over (for now anyway may have to have a bigger op when the tests come back)
I found it nice just having the one which I am sure you will love it.
Sleep well
