Full Version: Books on Board etc

Hi,

I have used Books on Board several times now, but find that certain books that are " not allowed for sale in my country" - that's the message that comes up.

For example i tried to purchase Awakened by PC Cast and it won't let me buy it

Anyone know why there are these restrictions?

Its happened to me as well, I thought it was because that ebook was yet to be released here.

It comes under publishing agreements.

An Australian publisher has purchased the distribution 'rights' for that book in this country so the ebook is not available to people in Australia.

I have found a way around this with another website though

With BooksonBoard you can try purchasing through the UK site. Some books that you can't buy from the US site you can buy from the UK site. They are more expensive that in the US but still cheaper than in Australia....

Has anyone been able to read books from BoB on their Kindle? I don't seem to be able to. The book I got has an epub extension and I haven't been able to convert it. I can read it on my computer, but I would rather read it on my Kindle. Thanks
