I am pg with boy #4. I've not found any names that I really like (or even mildly like tbh) and the only name left on DP's list is Benjamin.
I don't mind Ben with our other boys names: Sean, Rhys, Tom (or Tommy, or Thomas as he gets all 3 so far) but I really really don't like Benjamin for some reason.
So name guru's please hit me with some other names that can have Ben as a nn.

I agree with Zima - just call him Ben!

Ah, Ben - my favourite of all prospective baby boy names
Benito or Benjamino (the j says 'y') - both Italian versions. Technically there's no j in the Italian alphabet, but this is the most direct translation of Benjamin (and there's also the Italian soccer team La Juventus - so j is like a y sound but used very infrequently).
It's not unusual to name a child after a Pope (where I'm from there are a lot of John-Pauls!) so Benedict is a good one for the era (I've only come across one Benedict so far). Benedict also has a lovely meaning ("blessed"). I also love Reuben.

To go with Sean, Rhys and Thomas I think Benjamin is wonderful but seeing you don't like that then Bennett is the only other name you can have Ben as a nickname with, that I'd use with your boys names.

Naww, poor old Benjamin... I would have loved to use it but DH vetoed it...
I agree with PP's, just call him Ben!!

Just saw another post about a member asking about the name Blake...
Sean, Rhys, Tom and Blake? Would your DP go for that?

DP is a strict "must give the full name" type so just Ben is out. I know Ben is a perfectly acceptable name in its own right but he won't budge.
Thankyou so much for all the suggestions

I think I like Bennett the best. I didn't mind Emmett with DS3 but then after he was born (and named) I read twilight and wouldn't want people to think this one was named after that so Bennett might be a good compromise. I might finally be able to start a list now!

I'm not the person to reply as Benjamin is my favourite boys name of all time.

I know a Bernard who gets Ben, as there were two baby Bernards in one social group at the time. One was Bernie, one was Ben.

Why is Bennett the only name you can have Ben as a nickname PP? Not that there I'd anything wrong with it I just thought that was an interesting thing to say...
