How much weight did you put on when you were having twins ?

This is my third pregnancy and I put on close to 30kgs each time. So I am worried that I will put on more with twins !

What is the average range for twins ?

Thankyou original.gif

I put on 17 kgs (had my girls at 37 weeks) - mind you 4 kgs of that was fluid in the last week - my ankles were non-existent! I've never been small so that was a good weight gain for me (you'd want to put on more if you're small to start with, I guess) - all babies and fluid apparently as I lost it all in 10 days after the birth! Back into my jeans the next week. Shame about the 7 kilos I've put on since (sigh.....).

I've never eaten as healthily as I did while I was pregnant - I was obsessed with eating protein at each meal as I'd read that it helped with the babies' weight - my girls were 2.6 and 2.7 kgs so it didn't hurt them anyway! My only downfalls were occasional hot meat pies (for the protein you understand!) and hot chips. Wish I was as disciplined now!

[color=Blue]I put on 16kgs all up and I actually ended up weighing less after I'd given birth than before I fell pregnant!! Mmmmm, unfortunately it's all come back on now though!! LOL ;p

I gained about 26kgs. Delivered my bubs at 38 weeks and they were 2.7 & 2.8kgs. I also had alot of fluid and was on bed rest for 3 months which didn't help me manage weight gain. When I left hospital I was 10kgs heavier than prepregnancy and now 6 months later I am 1kg heavier than prepregnancy.

Like Maree I was very conscoius of eating lots of protein, lots of fruit and veges and heaps of water. I believe this really helped my bubs reach a good weight (the bed rest probably helped too!!)
