Hi - just a quick question. We are running a stall at our local school with facepainting, tattoos (various sizes - from Hot Dollar) and crazy hair (coloured spray and maybe gel/glitter).

What sort of prices should we charge? We were thinking $4 for a facepaint, $2 for crazy hair, 20c/50c/$1 for tattoos (depending on the size). We are not professional face painters, and the year 6 kids are helping with crazy hair/tattoos. We thought maybe $5 for a facepaint and crazy hair combo. We don't need to pay for the facepaint as much of it was donated.

The lovely ladies in the fundraising section of this forum generally recommended $5 per face. I'm just curious about what is the going rate here in Canberra?

Thanks
Christine

Last year at our school fete face painting by non-professionals was $1. Sorry but with 3 kids there's no way I'd be paying $5 for a face paint/hair combo each.

Given your face paint was free and you're not paying for talent you only need to recoup the costs of hair colour plus make a small profit. I'd say $3 for the combo,

I agree I wouldn't pay $5 for face painting. I think $1 or $2.
