Good Tuesday Morning to you all!!!!

Wanted to pop in and let you all know that I had an appointment with the Ob this morning and after a slight surgery delay he was saying how great I was going! I laughed as i looked at the elephant feet under his desk! LOL

He did a scan in his rooms and both babies are traverse now, after being engaged 2 weeks ago! both head to the righ hand side too! They are going really well and growing on target - he couldnt get the smirk off his face! Very happy with his patients!

Baby 1 - After measurements is approx weight of 2.7 pounds
Baby 2 - after measurements is approx weight of 2.9 pounds.

My FH - was measuring at 28 weeks and I seem to have lost a few kilos, thats Ok....I am the same FH as a single pregnancy - how bizzare!

Anti D - Injection was given to me today (hmmmm) in the rump! LOL, it didnt even hurt the midwife was fantastic! I told her to be in my delivery room....lol

Still working, but feeling good, the odema not too bad now - the heat is settling a bit now too.
Have set the baby cots up! they are beautiful and I love looking at them - I wanted to make them, but DH said its Ok leave it, you will get sick of changing them soon enough! ha ha

Well I am off for another scan at 30 weeks! 2 weekly visits.....getting so excited.

I am sure I have talked your ears off in here now! Hope you and all the lovely little babies & toddlers in here are well!

Take it easy......

Oh that's great news Bree, so glad to hear everything is going so well!

Your OB sounds like mine - ours still gets this smirk on his face when we run into him at the hospital, just like he is so proud of himself that he did such a good job getting the girls here safely. But I don't mind too much, because he's right!

Rest up and look after yourself!

Kate

Glad everything is going so well. Make sure you get lots of rest. It's nice to read about someone who's enjoying their twin pregnancy - can't say I was the same!

Hi Bree

It's great to hear your update and that things are going really well for you. You sound so excited and it's so nice to read. Things sound good that you are going to go to term, which is great! Best of luck with your next scan too.

We are planning on buying our cots after the 19 week scan next week so I can totally relate to your excitement of buying them and setting them up. It must be lovely to walk past the nursery and picture your little cherubs in them!

Take care xxxx

Hi Bree,
Very exciting stuff. It's great to read your post since we're so close in due dates (relatively!), it's reassuring that similar things are happening to you as they are to me. I keep checking my feet every day now but so far so good! Do you know what sex your babies are going to be or are you saving it for a surprise?

It makes it so real when the cots are up - I keep peeking into the babies' room and can't wait until the cots have little people in them! We have an elmo in each one in the meantime...original.gif

I have my next scan this Friday and I always get a little nervous beforehand, but after reading your update I'm getting excited now!

Thanks heaps Ladies! I feel like I can share anything with you all!

Lisa - we decided not to find out the sexes of the babies, as we possibly wont have anymore children after the twins so....may as well do the whole suprise thing. I have been a big fan of the mother asking what is it - after giving birth...the joy of just having them will be amazing but to be suprised will be nice. Any combination will do for us!

You cant really be "prepared" for what you are about to go through, dont know how big/small they will be, I am not a huge Pink fan, I really have fussy taste LOL

I am sure we all have similar sympotms etc...does anyone have/had, the pumping heart issue? I feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest at any minute. I know if I tried to exercise at the moment I would have a heart attack! OMG....

Looking in the babies room with the cot in there is amazing! We also have put 2 teddies in there! LOL

Ordered some new blinds for the Nursery today, Mum is going to make the curtains in plain fabric for me soon.

Drew - I was also a little funny about buying things, I remember posting a ? about it for the ladies in here and they were all the same too. I ordered them at 20 weeks and they took 4 weeks to come in over xmas ect...

Have booked a date for the shower - now I am getting excited about that!

Thanks for the well wishes - I feel great and cant wait to meet the little darlings!

Take it easy ladies - its nearly the weekend....LOL

Bree - funny that you have two teddies in the nursery - we have too! We bought them as their Christmas present, the first and only thing we have bought for them so far.

I am glad we are the norm with waiting until half-way to buy things. I was beginning to think it was me just being paranoid. We might even put some things on layby this weekend and not pay them off until after next week's scan..

Bree - that's great that you have made a date for your shower! I am sure you will have lots of fun. Do you mind me asking how many weeks you will be when you have the party? I am thinking of 29 weeks but am thinking that might be too soon.....

I haven't experienced the pumping heart thing yet - I guess something to look forward to. I hope it eases up for you soon....take care...xxx

Drew - I will be about 31 weeks when we have it. I have decided that will be fairly safe, the only thing that will haunt me wil be the swelling feet! LOL

It really makes it so much more exciting to buy the things, but more when you take them home and set them up. All we can talk about is the arrival of these little babies! Cant wait.....

If I was you I would see how you are feeling by 28/29 weeks before making the decision. I have then allowed a couple of weeks to get it all happening.

No-one that is preg/TTC or is a Mum already would think you are paranoid! We are all the same...I just think its sensible, caution is sometimes better. Dont feel like your not "excited" either, you will get it all together when you feel most comfortable.

I hope you are having a great day - feel free to PM me any time..

Cheers
