Hi, I'm a newbie here, have just found out I am pregnant with our third son. We are at our wits end to think of a name to go with Will and Alex.

We love the old fashioned English names but have lots of friends with boys some names are off limits.

Any suggestions? All welcome....

Thanks

Nathaniel is a classic favourite I love, which has a nice "long" feel to it like William and Alexander.

Thomas - hard to get more classic or more English-style than Thomas.

Oliver is probably taken amongst your friends, right? This one is too British for me, but DH likes it.

Hmm... All I can think of is:

Edward
Harrison
Quentin
Mocha Coffee
Oliver

And maybe Alistair

Benjamin

Love Nathaniel.

Maybe Sebastain, Spencer, Charlie, Matthew?

Lewis

I would have said Andrew but I don't really like it with Alexander.

Gabriel is hardly British, I just like it.

Dashiell is pretty nice.

I do like the suggestion of Quentin.

Wow Ladies, thanks for your swift replies! So many of those gorgeous names are either taken by family or friends, but I hadn't thought of Nathaniel or Justin.

Also love Harrison but the dog's name is Harry. Yes, I am surrounded by boys!

I love Darcy but hubby is not keen, Alastair would mean too many A names in our family.

Fun and games, thank for your help.

We have a William and Alexander - great taste in names wink.gif We also have a Dominic for our male trio. If this bubs was to be a boy he would have been Caelan.

That being said, most of the other names we would have liked had already been snaffled... so what we would have considered if 'available' or not one of our middle names already are...

Lachlan
Thomas
Edward
Michael
Sebastian

hmm there are others but at the moment my brain is spinning with girls news LOL Sorry!!!

Good luck choosing your boys names!!!!

tygrays, what do you shorten Dominic to? I really like it but think Dom will run into our surname too much... it begins with M.

Congrats on your baby girl - so exciting!

wub.gif thankyou original.gif

We usually shorten it to Dom, Dom-Dom, Dommy or Domdles - it kinda runs off the tongue LOL We have family members who insist on calling him Nick, Nicko or Nicky as well.. he gets the lot LOL

I have a Will (William) and Alex (Alexandra)! I say Charles, as I have a Charlotte!

We have an Alexander and a Patrick (William lives next door!). Third boy would have been Marcus or Nicholas, but was a girl.
