Hi Ladies

I have just found out that I am carrying twins. It is still early days but we had planned in the next few days to book a holiday to Fiji when I will be approx. 20-21 weeks. Now that it is two babies and not one should I cancel our plans or should I still go?? Does having twins mean limiting travel??

Thanks

Tayls

Congratulations on the Twin Pregnancy Tayls! That is great news......One 1 embryo too! Great news.

AS you will see by my ticker I am 26 weeks and 1 day atm. I have been blessed with no morning sickness at all and feel very fortunate compared to some ladies. My belly is just starting to get right in the way and makes me think twice before doing anything. I will admit that I am starting to feel the effects of this pregnancy about now.

I would suggest that you take the trip but talk to your Ob about it. I have been told no travel anywhere after 28 weeks Just in case - were the exact words....
AS you will be going much earlier than that I would say enjoy yourself while you can!

Looking forward to getting to know you and congrats again on the great news......it is an absolute blessing and I am sure like all of us - you are finding it hard to take that "I am so special" look of your face!!!! wink.gif

Lovely, lovely, just lovely!!!!! enjoy your day....

Tayls, I travelled from Europe to Adelaide at 30 weeks pregnant with twins, with no dramas. (A bit uncomfortable though). Mind you, I gave birth 3 weeks later, so I cut it a bit fine! (The air travel had nothing to do with the premature birth).

If you are quite big, the airline may be reluctant to allow you to fly, so take a doctor's letter giving you permission to travel, just in case.

I wouldn't cancel your plans, not at 20 weeks! You should be fine. (Plenty of people told me I was mad though!)
