Hi ladies,

I lost my baby last month (early miscarriage). I've got an the kidd antibody and they said that it attacks the baby thinking its a foreign object.

gyne has me on 100mg of asprin until i receive a positive result and then clexane until 12 weeks and back to aspirin until 34 weeks.

****TMI info!!*****

So now i am back on the trying to conceive journey again - CD1 I don't know if this is because of the aspirin but I am having a normal period (not much clotting) but heavy and bright red but i have heaps of EWCM? I could see it just pouring out after doing a BM and then it went all clear - about 8cm stretch of clear fluid.

Now i was already confused about my cycle. I had an ultrasound done on the 2nd of march (Wed). Confirming that i would ovulate around the Monday/Tuesday - lining was good and eggs looked great. on the thursday night a received a darker than normal opk but it wasn't positive. So we didn't BD. I received EWCM on the Sunday (BD) never got that positive opk though. I believe i ovulated on the monday evening and I had CM dry up on the Tuesday. But even though i was testing 3 times a day on the opk's (different brand than i normally use) - still NO POSITIVE!!!

Then to add to the confusion at 10dpo I started spotting and it continued until this morning and now full period. HPT's Negative.

Soooooo confused. I believe i have started a new cycle but wondering if anyone else gets EWCM during their period???

BTW my cycles are 34-36 days. I spot for 1 to 1.5 days alway before my period but never any more than that.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi andy

Sorry to hear about your loss. I have had a similar cycle just recently with lots of EWCM throughout, even after I thought I O'd. It was my first cycle on aspirin as well so perhaps that has something to do with it. It makes it very difficult to feel confident you're BDing around the right time, and needless to say we didn't conceive that cycle. I don't trust OPKs, so I think our strategy this cycle will be to BD every 2nd day from after AF until she shows up again. Luckily I have short cycles!

Your ultrasound results are very encouraging that everything is working as it should be in there, so I would just trust that it's only a matter of time before everything lines up for a BFP.

Hope you have better luck next month.

Can't help with the EWCM question, but I can say that while I've had success using the OPKs in the past, since I miscarried they haven't been much use at all sad.gif Even when I had an ultrasound that showed I was literally about to ovulate, an OPK didn't give a positive result. I consider the ultrasound better evidence than an OPK! (I'm no medical expert though). I'm also on asprin so maybe that affects the accuracy of the OPKs????

I've finally settled into a 28 day cycle (helped by my first round of Clomid) and the advice from my OBGYN is to BD every second day from day 10 to day 20. Personally, if you think you are ovulating, I'd say go for it regardless of what the OPK says. They are only one tool out of your 'when am I ovulating' tool kit!!!
