Hi All,
We are having another little boy on thursday and have narrowed his name down to 2 choices.... wondering what your opinions are!!
DS1's name is Flynn Michael...
Choices for DS2 are...
Owen Jacob or Declan Jacob
DH is stuck on Owen but i for some reason keep thinking OJ being his initials.
Grrr this is such a hard decision!!

I definitely prefer Declan Jacob, it's really lovely.

Owen Jacob would be my pick. I didn't even think about the OJ part until you mentioned it.

Owen Jacob, I think Owen is not as popular.

Definitely prefer Owen - good Welsh name. Love the way the Welsh pronounce it too! They sort of stress the second syllable.
What's wrong with "OJ"? Declan Jacob would be "DJ", so not much different. And seriously no-one will remember OJ Simpson in 10-20 years time if that's the problem. Or if it's orange juice you're worried about - well what's not to like about orange juice?

QUOTE (vanessa71 @ 21/03/2011, 10:05 PM)

Owen Jacob, I think Owen is not as popular.
Not really. In NSW last year there was 124 Declans born and 110 Owens, the year before 125 Owens and 121 Declans.

Owen Jacob.

What a gorgeous name!
I wouldn't even think twice about the initials being OJ.
Owen would be my pick, but its a pretty close call.

I like them both - very nice names.
However, I think Owen flows better with Flynn.

I really like Declan Jacob.
(Owen is NMS at all, but Declan is a great, under-used name!)

Love Owen.
If we were having another and my nephew wasn't Ewan than that's the name I would of liked.

Owen Jacob is very nice.
Also his initials will not be OJ.
It will be Owen Jacob and your surname.
The only time you would notice it it is if for some reason you hyphenate his first two names and use OJ as a nn.
Never one have I seen my my eldest being called SR. It either SW or SRW never SR its a none issue.

When I thought OJ aloud in my head, I thought it was fun - I immediately thought of orange juice not OJ Simpson!

Thank you ladies. DH and I have decided to make the final decision on the day when we see him.
I am just so happy that we have been able to narrow down 2 names, even if we did leave it till the last minute.
Thank you all so much for your opinions.
