Pretty sure we are going with this one... WDYT??

I like it original.gif I like both names.

I prefer Alana spelt Alannah only because Alana backwards is
Anal A.

I think Alana is nice and although I too prefer the Alannah spelling I like Alana as well. I'm not overly keen on Brooke but as a middle name only it fine.
Bella_a1
I love it. DD was going to be Alana but for reasons we couldn't use it. It is also my middle name. Alana Brooke is gorgeous.
Wiggle-fan's_Mum
My DD is Brooke and her best friend is Alana laugh.gif

I like the spelling Allana wink.gif Great name!
ljl211
Gorgeous!!

Our DD2 is Alana Mary. I love this spelling.
Gudrun
Alana Brooke is good.
Eirinn
Love Alana, not keen on Brooke.
GrumpyCow
Thanks ladies!

Im still getting used to the spelling, i think i would naturally go with "Alannah" too, but we have a "Hannah" .

Are they (even with spelling changed) a bit too similar for sisters?? Im not sure...

Also, naming Alana after my dad Alan... seriously one of the most special people in my life wub.gif

If you've got a Hannah then I think Alana/Alannah is definitely too similar no matter what spelling you use. I'd use Alana for the middle name and choose a different first name.

LOL! That's the exact reason we like the Allana spelling. My dad is Allan.

As long as Hannah and Alana are pronounced differently (an vs ahn) I don't think it's too close. But definitely somewhat matchy. I think the meaning/significance would be more important than the similarity.
Gudrun
Not a problem IMO. Keep Alana Brooke.
M&Ms
Lovely!
Bel Rowley
it's pretty original.gif
RedsGirl
I like it, and I also prefer the Alannah spelling but your reasoning makes Alana the better choice.

I think Hannah and Alana are similar, but if you really love them then go for it - after all they are their own people.
Craptacular
If you're naming her after an Alan, just stick with the Alana spelling. It really is a lovely name original.gif
MnM
They flow well together and sound lovely.

i must admit that its not a name i've every warmed too though - sorry.

I also prefer it with 2 n's in the middle.
~THE~MAGICIAN~
Alana is okay.

Not fussed on Brook.
IamWhoIam
It sounds like a new Estate to me.
In Perth we have a Jane Brook.

Sorry sad.gif .

I prefer Brooke as a first name but Alana Brooke sounds great. I also prefer the spelling Alannah

How is it pronounced? Al - anna, Al - arna? Alan - a?

I love it pronounced Alan - a!

Brook is cute too.
OurLittleDarling
not a problem with Hannah at all. Nice name original.gif

I think it's beautiful!

My sister is Alana Irene which I also love - both her name and her of course!

I don't like it.
Well, thats just my opinion.
Sarie
We had Alannah picked out if DS1 was a girl, I have since gone off it though, it's rather plain and boring IMO.
