I like it

I like both names.
I prefer Alana spelt Alannah only because Alana backwards is
Anal A.

I think Alana is nice and although I too prefer the Alannah spelling I like Alana as well. I'm not overly keen on Brooke but as a middle name only it fine.

I love it. DD was going to be Alana but for reasons we couldn't use it. It is also my middle name. Alana Brooke is gorgeous.

Thanks ladies!
Im still getting used to the spelling, i think i would naturally go with "Alannah" too, but we have a "Hannah" .
Are they (even with spelling changed) a bit too similar for sisters?? Im not sure...
Also, naming
Alana after my dad Alan... seriously one of the most special people in my life

If you've got a Hannah then I think Alana/Alannah is definitely too similar no matter what spelling you use. I'd use Alana for the middle name and choose a different first name.

LOL! That's the exact reason we like the Allana spelling. My dad is Allan.
As long as Hannah and Alana are pronounced differently (an vs ahn) I don't think it's
too close. But definitely somewhat matchy. I think the meaning/significance would be more important than the similarity.

Not a problem IMO. Keep Alana Brooke.

I like it, and I also prefer the Alannah spelling but your reasoning makes Alana the better choice.
I think Hannah and Alana are similar, but if you really love them then go for it - after all they are their own people.

If you're naming her after an Alan, just stick with the Alana spelling. It really is a lovely name
They flow well together and sound lovely.
i must admit that its not a name i've every warmed too though - sorry.
I also prefer it with 2 n's in the middle.

We had Alannah picked out if DS1 was a girl, I have since gone off it though, it's rather plain and boring IMO.
