just wondering if anyone in canberra has signed up to those online deals like cudo, scoopon, spreets etc and if you have actually ordered something... is it all as good as it seems? or are there lots of rules when you have paid the money...???

thanks
~Sorceress~
I think I saw that some ladies had delivery issues with meat from Spreets...

I use these kind of sites all the time - I've never had a problem Which isn't to say there is never any, but I have found them great.

Hang on - I just read your post, I'm actually in Melbourne. But still, I'm all for them!

My friend and I used Spreets for a deal at Monkey Mania and that was successful but like Kristen a few friends have had delivery issues with some companies.

I have used some for all the companies in Sydney, but some there are hidden charges or extra if not in the right suburb. The main issue I have had is with the photo studio deals but I think thats usual not just to spreets, cudo or Ourdeal etc ( extra $500 a print and the deal may include credit but didnt really get much)
brazen
have used them a few times and not had any problems at all original.gif

I've bought heaps and have never had a problem.

My friend bought a voucher for IPL treatment at Rejuvenation Retreat (Gold Coast) but two weeks later, the place shut down. She's trying to get a refund.

In Perth & have purchased a couple of things of Scoopons, great site , no issues. The issues I've heard of are often with the companies that advertsie not the Scoupon site itself.

A coworker of DH's has had problems with these sort of sites. The one this particular person has had is with restaurants - you buy the voucher which is only good for a limited amount of time and they only allow x many vouchers to be booked in on a given day (and voucher says you must book to use) and they sell more vouchers then they can actually book in the limited time the voucher is good for.

We have bought canvas print vouchers from one of these websites and have used one so far and have had absolutely no problems.

We are having trouble redeeming one restaurant voucher. Always being told that they are full. Last Sun morning, we went past and they were empty but 5 mins later when we called, we were told that they were fully booked.

Have had no trouble redeeming some of the others.

I used Spreets for half price theatre tix - absolutely no problems as they email the voucher to you.

I also used them for go-karting, which turned to be an absolute bargain - cost around $90 for $270 wroth of go-karting. Again, no issues as vouchers come through next day then DH just rang and booked in.
