~Ingrid~
Hi ladies,

I hope some of you can help me with ideas.

Friends of our had baby triplets yesterday. Three beautiful girls. They already have a five year old DD as well.

I am really stumped for present ideas. I really want to give them something useful. Not sure if I should get three of something or one bigger gift. I probably will spend between $60 to $100 all up.

What was the best present you recieved or the best thing you bought.

Any ideas.

Thanks

I appreciated all the presents we received but particular favourites were:
- fleece blankets (one each) as they are good for tummy time and trips out once it's winter again and they wash so well;
- "cute" extras that you don't buy yourself like 3 pairs of gorgeous booties or 3 hats;
- if you want to be practical, nappies, nappies and more nappies;
- food! frozen meals for the parents and 5 year old - for the days when preparing food is way beyond you;
- a voucher for a help eg folding laundry, cleaning the bathroom once they're all home and into the daily grind (although you have children and another on the way so time may be a problem).

Most of all I think the best thing you can give is your emotional support - bringing home multiples is a huge shock and they'll need all the friends they can get. You sound like a very caring friend.

[color=Blue]I think you will find that a lot of here will say nappies, nappies and more nappies are good presents, but for me I must admit that I like to give something a little more personal.

One of the best gifts we received, and something that we are still getting use out of is blankets. We were given 2 light weight and 2 heavier weight blankets that we put across the boys when we're out in the pram, and we also use them as rugs to sit on when we're at the park, or we lay them on the floor when the boys were having a play etc. They're very colourful ones and have been washed to death, but still look great. I'm sure we'll be using them again when the weather cools down, and they'll be something the boys can use to keep them warm in front of the TV or in bed, even when they get a bit older.

Hi There

The best present we got with our two was nappies (boring I know - but oh so practical). With three they will be going through them really quickly, so not having to buy some for a week or two is really worthwhile.

The other great present we got were prepared meals, friends dropped around.

You sound like a great friend, so being there for them is also a great help and really appreciated
Cheers

As a mum to triplets, I would definitely say give her a few bulk boxes of disposable nappies! You can always get something personal for each baby aswell. One gift I thought was cute was a beanie bear for each baby with their name on the front!
