Hi Ladies!
Hoping you are all well - I am actually feeling fantastic and have a couple of questions for you.
~ Is 22 weeks normal time for the (.Y.) to be leaking colostrum? This is happening to me mainly in the mornings, but I didnt expect it to be this early on! I have bought heaps of nursing pads, but thought I would use them a little closer to the time IYKWIM. When I told my Mum the other day - she freaked out.....LOL
Waking up cuddling Dh is becoming a sticky affair! It takes me 5 mins or so to peel the (.Y.) off him! LOL (this is sounding more silly as I type LOL)
~Pubic bone pain, I presume this is from the increased amount of pressure in there. Just chasing some reassurance really. If its from the pressure I can imagine it will get worse as it gets on??
On a more positive note - I am Absolutly loving this stage and I feel tremendous! I have been very spoilt with no M/S or anything, so I am feeling even more blessed each day!
Last night was the most active our babies have been after 10pm!!! And DH was so impressed about getting kicked in the back all night - literaly all night too! Little darling have been very quiet all morning!
I hope that everyone is going well with their Babies, children, Bumps, scans, and all the christmas preparations!
I am more just chasing some reassurance from the experts here.....LOL, I am amazed at the process the human body goes through to accommadte such a miracle!
Anyway, enough from me - I should do some work!! LOL
Thanks for the help loveys!!!

Bree,
So pleased to hear how well you are. I had a shocking pregnancy. I have heard women have started leaking in early pregnancy so i don't think it is a problem but just ask your Dr.
I suffered pain in the pubic bone it did get worse but not majorly worse by the end though it felt like I only had to sneeze and I'd give birth LOL.Dr told me the pain in my early pregnancy was due to my body getting ready (had same pain early in my singleton pregnancY) But then later in the pregnancy the pain was due to pressure as Tom was sitting in my pelvis (like in a cradle)
Take care

I had trouble with a nerve in the groin area, but I also had this with my first, and OB said it would probably happen in subsequent pg's...I don't think it was any worse with the twin pg.
Have you thought of freezing the colustrum, in case your bubs come early...(I read this in one of the Twin books), seeing as you already have a supply. Perhaps you could ask your midwife/hospital???? (.Y.)

Glad that you are feeling well.
I can identify with the pelvis pain you mentioned- I found this bad from around 25 weeks just with the huge weight (My girls were born 8lbs and almost 7lbs) Relief for me was in the bath were I could actually get comfortable and let the water take some of the weight!
All the best,

Hi, yep remember the pubic pain all too well. found it difficult to stand for really long periods of time cause it felt like something would fall out!!
my sister is 20 weeks pg and has started leaking quite a bit of colostrum so far as i know it's normal. think i was a bit further down the track when it started.
Good idea about freezing it plenty of info in the "twins" handbook by the Melb mums. My girls were in special care and it was really hard to choose who to give the tiny amounts of colostrum that the midwifes expressed from me to. One bub was tube fed whilst on oxygen and I used to give it to her but always felt guilty that i wasn't giving the slightly bigger healthier twin more..
Good luck and rest up as much as you can before they arrive!!!
Cheers Rebecca

Thanks so much ladies - definatly agree that expressing it would be benificial. I will look into getting the Avanti breast pump and storage containers sooner rather than later.
Have been attending the heated pool regularly which helps releive the pain.
I appreciate all the help and assistance within this section of EB and personally want to thank you all - in advance for all the other questions in the next 3 months or so!!
Hoping you and children are all well

Definately express the colostrum and keep it for when they are born. My bubs were in NICU and special care for 2 weeks. I had frozen about 50 bags with 60mls in each. This got them through until my milk had come in and was extra as well. The midwives were so impressed and had never heard of anyone ever doing it. I really didnt want the twins to have any formula and they would have had to have some if I didnt have this milk as their blood sugars were low after the birth and needed a quick pick-me-up asap.
We had brought the milk along in an eskie when I went into labor and they just put it straight in the freezer in the Nursery.
Good Luck
