Its me again - you are all going to be sick of my posts by the time this baby is here!
so as dp doesnt like most of my boy list (we have agreed on a girls name) i have some more that he has said maybe too- these are his top 4 from my list in order of his favourite-
1. arden
2. sage
3. miller
4. madden
middle name will possibly be patrick or george (may change) these are family names

I really like Miller. Arden & Sage are more girls names to me. I do like Madden, but wouldnt like the NN of "Mad".

I love Miller. It also happens to be my surname, and DS's middle name.
Arden is cool, because of the North Melbourne 'Arden Street' connection. (I'm a Roos supporter)
I'm not as keen on Madden, and I think Sage is a lovely girls name.
Out of curiosity, what girls name have you decided on?

I too see Arden as a girl, and definitely Sage. Miller and Madden are ok, but neither flow with Patrick or George. I think it's because they sound like surnames?
Craptacular

I'd probably go with Miller then Madden.

for a girl - pretty sure we have decided on freya grace (grace being family name). sage i have only heard once but not sure if the child was a girl or boy - i love it for both! I love Miller and Arden, and madden i thought of today - we were going to use rafferty but NO ONE irl is a fan!!

I love Sage for a girls name. But I'd go with Patrick as a first name.

thanks script - i really dont like the name patrick but as it is a family name and all other family names are alot worse we were thinking of using for a middle name!!
I love all those names, but only Miller goes with either of your middle names, and then I would only put it with Patrick.
Miller Patrick...
I think Sage is fine for a boy, but definitely can't be put with George and sounds odd with Patrick.
Rafferty is an excellent name, I'd ignore irl comments on it, they'll love it on him once he's here and Rafferty goes well with George.

Rafferty is a great name!
Freya is lovely, but I prefer Sage.

we love rafferty too - BUT we have a pub called raffertys where we live so everyone associates it with that and hence dont like it - he will probably get teased because of it as well - maybe
another idea for middle name is lee

Sage rocks I believe, the problem with Miller and Madden is what if there was a child in their class with either of these as a last name?
I think that could be something to think about.
Imagine a little Sage - they would be so cute but then also awesome when they are older and you would automatically expect them to be wise!

I like Sage but it is more commonly associated with girls. That might be a good reason to choose it though?
Arden I would expect to be a girl too and associate it with the cosmetics queen. Miller I would expect a boy if it were written down and a girl (as in Milla) if I only heard it.
That leaves Madden where I would expect a boy. So Madden.

To me Sage and Arden are girls names, i love Sage for a little girl! Miller and Madden to me are NMS but if i had to choose 1 it'd be Miller.
ETA: If you weren't planning on living where you live for the rest of your lives then you could use Rafferty...

I was going to say Miller. But then you mentioned Rafferty. That wins hands down.
Sage and Arden are girls names in my opinion, and I don't like Madden- I just think of Joel and Benji. It's a surname to me. I know a couple of Millers, so it's no longer a surname to me.

Freya Grace is a lovely choice. I like Sage for a girl as well.
Of the boys names, I really like Rafferty.
I think of Arden and Sage as girls names. Out of Miller and Madden, I prefer Miller, mainly because Madden sounds a bit aggressive for some reason, and I wouldn't like the nickname Mad.

I like Arden the best out of that list. I like it as a boys name - it sounds very cool.
Sage on the other hand, is a girls name.
Miller and Madden - OK, but NMS.

I like Miller and Arden. I don't think Arden sounds feminine at all.
Sage, on the other hand, would be lovely as a girls name.
Not so keen on Madden.

I don't think that would be much of a problem. My surname is Thomas and I teach kids called Thomas all the time. I really don't find it to be an issue.

I think Arden is really nice for a girl and I see Sage as a girls name too. Miller I don't mind for a boy but I'm not keen on Madden.

I love Arden and really really consider the name. It's a boy's name for me and DH's co-worker just name his newborn baby boy Arden as well. So I hope it stays as a boy's name.

zoskie - that is great to know because i see it more a boys than girls name and i really like it - i think it is probably no one out of that list - dp actually agrees!!

Dito this. Agree with PP that Miller Patrick is probably the best combo of those too.
I love Freya. I'm not a fan of Grace as MN as it's very common MN atm, Freya Arden or Freya Sage would be excellent combos. But being a fmaily name then probably a good enough reason to stick to it.
I wouldn't use Lee as MN with either Arden or Sage - it would make it very unisex name. I also dont' think it really goes with either Miller or Madden.
I also quite like Rafferty. I wouldn't worry about what people IRL think - they'll get used to it. Rafferty George would be my pick

I see Arden and Sage as girls names too. Miller I think on the girls version of Milla.
I really really like Madden

Freya Grace is lovely. I love Sage too, but as a girls name.
The other boys names are NMS, but I don't dislike them. I don't know that they pair well with the very traditional middle names of Patrick and George. I think I prefer Arden Patrick or Miller Patrick of all the possible combos.

4. Madden (lovely)
1. Arden (not keen on)
2. Sage (dislike for a Boy)

Miller Patrick is my pick - I quite like it. I think Rafferty is a great name for a boy.
For me the girl version (Mila/Milla) is pronounced more Mee-la as those I know of come from an Eastern European background.
The other names are NMS,

Toni Collettes' daughter is called Sage I think.
I like Sage for a girl and Miller Patrick would be my fave out of the list. Arden to me is a boys name rather than a girls. Just in case you live in Sydney (and it wouldn't be a deal breaker I don't think), there is a school called Arden.
All the best for your pregnancy!

Otherwise.
Miller.

I adore Rafferty as a name

I also like Miller from your list. I too think of Sage as a girls name.
