Hi everyone... This is my list so far for boys and girls in no particular order. We like shortish, simple but not "made up" names.(hope that makes sense)
If we have a girl we would like her middle name to be Jade or Jean. If we have a boy so far we only have James as a middle name prefrence. Our sons name is Tay (after DF's grandfather) if that's any help! Let me know what you think and other suggesttions would be greatly appreciated!

Layla
Lexi
Addison
Kiara
Scarlett
Siena
Imogen
Kyra
Amalia

Max
Oscar
Mason
Harrison
Cruz ( this one is made up I know but we like it)

Thanks everyone!

I like Layla & Oscar

Lots o' goodies in your girls list! I adore Amalia. Amalia Jean would be just marvellous. I'm also very fond of Lexie (but with the 'e' on the end). Lexie Jean has a lovely ring to it.

Leila spelt like this but I fear there is quite a bit of confusion about with this and similar names ie with both spelling and pronunciation.

Scarlett is also very nice. Again: Scarlett Jean.

Imogen is a good name but it's not great with either of the MN options.

Boys: Oscar or Max. Very nice!

Lexi Jean is cute. I like Max to go with your sons name, but Max James sounds a bit incomplete. Maybe Maxwell James with Max as the nn.

IMO would try to avoid:
Scarlett Jade ( 2 colours)
Imogen Jean - too similar
Layla Jade - 2 similar, and Layla is too similar to Tay IMO

I think Mason, Oscar and Harrison are a bit formal compared to your sons name.

I like Scarlett, Siena and Imogen for a girl, and Oscar or Cruz for a boy, although given that the Beckhams and the Hewitts have sons named Cruz, I think it could sound a bit try-hard, as it's name become a 'celebrity' name. IN any case, it's not a made-up name - it's a genuine Spanish name meaning 'cross', and I think the correct pronunciation is 'cruth', so unless you're going to pronounce it correctly, I would probably avoid it.

Layla - ok, but I prefer Lila or Lola
Lexi - ok, but prefer this only as a NN to Alexis
Addison - NMS
Kiara - NMS
Scarlett - lovely
Siena - ok
Imogen - ok
Kyra - NMS
Amalia - NMS

Max - lovely
Oscar - lovely
Mason - ok
Harrison - nice
Cruz - NMS

So, if I had to pick it would be Scarlett for a girl, and either Max or Oscar for a boy.

Good Luck!

We have:

Layla Jade

and

Caleb James

suits them both biggrin.gif
ohboy
In order -
Lexi Jade
Kyra Jean
Amalia Jade/Jean
Kiara Jade
Scarlett Jean

In order -
Max (not keen on James as a MN)
Mason James
Oscar James
Cruz (not keen on James as a MN)

Your list is great and most of them are on our lists biggrin.gif

Layla - I prefer the spelling Leila, which I love.
Lexi - nickname. Alexia or Alexis is nicer original.gif
Addison - a disease. Also terribly trendy, I would steer clear.
Kiara - I have always liked this. I like it spelled Chiara as well, for that extra kick of awesome.
Scarlett - too popular for me to like it.
Siena - double the n. I don't mind it but it's a bit plain somehow, I just think of brown.
Imogen - absolutely stunning. I love this, it is the standout on your list by far.
Kyra - sounds made up.
Amalia - NMS.

Max - Maxim is better with Max as a nickname.
Oscar - I like! Is it a bit popular at the moment?
Mason - I have never liked this name. It makes me think of rocks.
Harrison - not bad. Surnamey, but I like it with Harry as a nickname.
Cruz ( this one is made up I know but we like it) - much too Posh & Becks for me.

Good luck!

Addison Jade or Mason James original.gif

I loooove Lexi Jade & Cruz James!
They both sound awesome with Tay!
I'm biased but Nate James would sound fab too! wink.gif
Good luck deciding! biggrin.gif
