I go out a fair bit with the kiddies mainly for small trips where they only require one feed. But ocassionally we will be ou for 2 feeds..

Now short of bringing the tin of formula plus the tin of thickener. is there anything else I can put the formula in?

I do have a formula dispencer but it only has 3 spaces.. So 1 feed for both girls.

What did you do?

Sorry i dont belong in this section. Could just put the measured out portion in clip seal bags?

I just got two of the formula dispencer's. I found it was much easier then using bags or other containers.

i had 2 formula dispensers, it was easier that way.

We have 3 x Two spaces formula containers. It means we can go out ALL DAY with DD.

I don't belong in this particular section but I did bottle feed DS and I had this fantastic formula dispenser that had about 4 containers and they all screwed on top of one another...will try and remember what brand it was ...

I couldn't find the exact brand online( I bought mine at a local chemist) but here is a similar one

tower formula dispenser

We have 2 also - I tried zip lock bags but always made a mess! (I keep emergency bottles worth in my nappy bag in zip lock bags though).

Pigeon make the stackable formula dispenser. Or you could put the formula into your dry bottles and then take the water in a flask and add the water to the formula rather than the other way around.

This one

Pigeon stackable formula container

Just get two and you can stack them 5 high.

Another who took 2 x dispensers. I like look of those Pigeon stackable ones. I don't need them know, but they would have been great.

I had the 2 x pidgeon ones to stack it 5 high as well. I generally would take the 5 too even if I thought they'd only need two feeds each - it was good knowing there was a spare!

I didn't use thickner but our two had reflux and were on part AR formula (usually 2 scoops normal and 1 scoop AR formula). I'd just measure what I'd normally put in a bottle into the dispenser to save taking yet more containers. I'm guessing you can do the same with thickner though.

Yes you can do the same with the thickener.

I used a brand of formula that came in the Stick Pack that you just added to water, so I always made sure I had a box in the nappy bag. Especially as they were on different amounts of formula it was just as easy to mix as I needed.

My babies are 10mo apart but I have the two seperate dispensers for them. Different brand/colours so I easily know who is who. DD is on prescrption formula whilst DS is normal. I add thickener/gaviscon in with the formula too original.gif
atua
we did 2 dispensers as well
Lynneghl
We had two dispensers (3 sections type) but also bought single serve dispensers from toys are us, so we could take enough for 2 bottles each.
TopEndCrew
We took 2 dispensers out and about as well. I wish I had of found the Pidgeon ones though.

If I'm going out for a long trip and both girls need feeds, I take a small tupperware containier with say 10-15 scoops, and take a scoop from a previous tin that I have saved and washed.
hth!

I also used the pigeon dispensers. If I go all day outing then I just bring the whole can, leave it in the boot and refill the dispenser.

When they were really young, I would get them to share a 300ml bottle (150ml each). I have done this previously, pre-filled the bottles with formula so when we are out, just add water to it. It was fine. I never used a nappy bag with the twins. Always just had a couple of bottles, nappies and wipes in my handbag. I bought a small klip container for wipes (it's tiny and fits about 30+ wipes.

It's a good idea to keep one spare tin in the car if u go out a lot. It's great because I never have to worry about not enough formula or if we stay out late.

My twins are 14mths now and I have them on full cream milk. We are in malaysia atm and no formula. It gets easier as they get older.

The pigeons stackable did not get used much. I have 2 of them. Too bulky in my handbag.

I found this at woolies the other day.... and thought they would be great for formula.. you can fit about 9 scoops in each one.. I think.. if I remember correctly lol

it was about $6-7 aswell.
