Can you have more than one ipod & library on one computer.
I finish up work and will lose my laptop, can we run 2 itunes librarys on the same computer?
if so, any ideas on how to set it up.

Am feeling really out of touch with all things new of late. I feel old!!

We are going to be having this issue soon so I hope someone answers you. What we have done on our computer though is set up everyone to have their own profiles (not sure if that is the right word) so when you first turn the computer on, you have icons representing each family member and you have to click to go into the one you want. We have iTunes set up for one iPod and you have to go into the right person's profile to use it. My husband set it all up though so I can't tell you how he did it. I think there is a tech forum you can ask in.

Yes you can! I currently have 4 ipods and a iphone all through 1 computer.

Ok to try and put it simply.

You have your main Music Library which will hold EVERYONES music.. every song you have through itunes will be saved in the main 'Library'

You then create different playlists - so for instance "Mums Playlist' then you just add whatever music YOU want for YOUR ipod into that playlist etc and when u sync your Ipod make it so it will sync ONLY the selected Playlist you want.

I have playlist for my Ipod and DH's iphone, and then 3 different playlists for my 3 Stepdaughters as they all want different songs on their own ipods.

Then to make it more complicated we have the same main Itunes library on the Macbook and the Ipad.
