Just wondering if anyone has a 100 series landcruiser, and can tell me where the anchor points are, and if there are any for the middle positon in the 2nd row?
mmmchocolate
I know there are two anchor points for the back seats. they are behind the seats on the floor. DH knows there are holes in the roof that can be made into anchor points. As for the second row of seats I don't know. I assume there would be, there seems to be lots of "holes" in the floor. We are about to take ours to a restraint person and get them to figure out where we should put the 3 seats.

We have a 2000 LC...I have 3 seat across the middle, all anchor points are on the floor behind the seats.

I was about to ask a Landcruiser question so hope you don't mind me butting in.

So you can put seats in the back row (as in the row that can fold away?) Can you just put carseats in or can you put boosters in there as well?

I had assumed there wouldn't be anchor points for that back row and was coming to ask if boosters could back there. We are considering buying a secondhand old Landcruiser for our second car.

We have 3 anchor points. Middle on the roof and sides on the floor.

there are three 'holes' behind the middle row of seats for anchor points, so yes there can be thre anchored seats in the middle row, the very back row does not have any anchor points nor does the 200 series

I have put our foam pegasus in the very back row.

CatNat - There is definitely no anchors for the 3rd row in any of the Landcruiser models I have looked into. You would only be able to use a foam booster in the third row. However, a foam booster would most likely be taller than the back of the fold down seat, so not very safe either. It sucks. That's why I keep coming back to Ford Territories, they have 2 points for the 3rd row as well as 3 for the second.

Our 80 series has three anchor points across the roof. We use them for either the 2nd or third row depending on which kids are sitting where.
There are two 'points' on the floor behind the 2nd row, but I think these are luggage tie downs not actual anchor bolt points..

TheStick
You shouldn't be using roof points for the third row I believe. The angle upwards would be too great. You might want to check in the owners manual of your seat, because I can't for the life of me recall where I read that!

If I find it again I'll add a link.

Our 100 series has head rests!

Thanks for your responses.

So basically if it is an older model without headrests, children can't go in the back row until they are 8 because a Booster would be too high? BUGGER! I had been thinking a Landcruiser would solve my current 'can't take kids friends for playdates as not enough seats' dramas: was hoping to keep foam boosters in back row sad.gif .
TheStick
Well actually, I think you will find that kids between 4 and 7 can legally sit on those seats without a booster. As for whether you are comfortable doing that...

catnat
No, I don't think I'd be comfortable using no booster as I'd think there would be no side impact protection at all and no anti submarine style fitting of the seatbelt.
