Glue: I never even realised that they use glue to fix such big gashes. My only experience with it was last year when DD1 was doing sport at school and got hit in the head with a hockey stick and they put glue on the cut. We were actually really lucky because it was very close to her eye.

Ear infections- I have been lucky in this department because only 1 of my 5 has ever had one.

Us- I got my 2 custom Angeltears nappies in the mail the other day and I'm sad because they are pretty much too tight. I ordered them in January and they were embroidery designs that I had wanted for ages. The nappies are perfect in every way except for the size. Her mediums are 11-16kgs and Jack is only 11 kgs so I am shocked that they are too tight. Never mind

Ros - that is no good about the AT nappies, I am sure you will be able to sell them for what you paid though.

nat I have tried all of the toyshops. There was a crappy plastic one for $60 that was too tall and looked like it was about to snap in half. Apparently toy companies dont make these things anymore, apparently kids arent meant to play with domestic toys.... Boys are still allowed trucks! its stupid! Gotta keep my eyes open!

The FBML thing is easy too... I did mine... I think I just uploaded the image for my header to photobucket and then used the direct link for the image code. does that make sense?

No Idea on the night nappy I just put an extra trifold in Olly's normal nappy for night time he generally wakes at 5 so I change him and he goes back to sleep. I am so jealous of you getting to go to the PBC though, I really want to go to this years!

us went to the school to sew costumes today. argh, so tedious. But its all good they are done and hopefully they wont need me again. Bummer is though that for the actual comp that they are doing we only get one ticket because we only have one child performing. WHAT A RIP! I wanted us both to go but apparently only one parent per child can be in the audience which is crap I think. Its a sort of rock estedford thing.

Feeling really ill tonight. no idea why. Anyway might get back to making dinner for the kids..

Had a great day at work. Cameron woke up twice through the night. In the end he came in and slept with DH and I. He'd did pretty well at daycare. Didn't eat much and was grumpy by the time I picked him up. He had a two hour sleep though so that was great. Not much else planned for the week may catch up with some mates over the weekend.

Amy- That sucks about the tickets can't believe they think that's acceptable. Especially with all the work you have done! Hope you feel better soon hun. did you give the op shop a ring? Did you go to the gym? I was thinking about asking the GP about grommits tomorrow and see what he says. Have fun sewing nappies.

Ceres- Very disappointing about the nappies. Wow you were lucky one child had ear infections.

Nat- Cameron is a bit better. Think I will keep his appointment tomorrow. He's banging his head and mum told me when I was young that was my sign that I had an ear infection. So well see what happens tomorrow.

So sorry I havent been in posting much. THings have been pretty hectic around here and I haven't had a chance to really sit down at the computer and read and reply. We're getting this place reno'd so it's mad house and like living in a bombsite. The painters start next week. Yay! And we are moving out on the 1st July to housesit someone's place so that we can get the floors sanded and polished. We're also ripping up the bathroom floor and re-tiling, new vanity ect and kitchen benches and splashbacks. phew. Can't wait until it's done.

I have to choose bathroom floor tile colour (eek!) and splashback (eeek eek!). I am going to go tiled splashback as glass is WAY to expensive, with just a glass panel behind the cooker. If anyone has any idea's - please share them! MANDS - have you had to choose with building? I need HELP!

Ear infections - Tom, thankfully, has only had one. The one he had recently. I hope he doesn't get any more!

Bec - How does Ethan's hair look???? You'll have to post a piccy. Was that his first hair cut? Did you want to catch up so I can drop the pump bottle off to you? I think this week is a bit crazy.

Kathryn - I'm glad that Cameron is feeling better. It's nice when they do a 3 hour sleep - they obviously need it. Tom rarely sleeps for 2 hours during the day unless he has had a crap night or is sick.

Amy - Bit rude about the tickets! I did Rock Estedford when I was at school - can't believe it's still going LOL. How's the hand holding up?

Nat - When are you going to the Expo? Before or after me? if it's before, perhaps I'll meet you in there and have a bit of a look-see myself??? I'll have to see how I'm tracking. It's not like I need anything! Nor can I afford to buy anything! As for night nappies. I tried one. I tried a BBH night nappy and a wool cover. I ended up going back to sposies for night. Night nappies are just so bulky on Tom and he seems so uncomfy. It was during his "crap sleep" phase (one of the many ) and I didn't want to do anything to contribute to the crap sleep! I'd love to ditch the sposies alltogether but it isn't going to happen now that he is in sposies for daycare now too. He was in cloth, but he just used to wet through ALL the time. I was embarressed that every time I picked him up he was in daycare hand me downs as he'd wet through. I don't know if they weren't changing him regularly enough, or didn't know how to put them on properly. In the end I gave up.

Ros - that just doesn't sound right about the nappies. As Nat said, he should be on the tightest snap! What are you going to do? I guess there's nothing that can be done with returning them. What a PITA.

Mands - I can't believe that chick has copied you AGAIN. What does it take for some people to get the idea that that just isn't cool. She obviously has no shame whatsoever!

Cameron wore just about all the baked beans he had for dinner lol. Think he'll be going to bed early very grumpy bubba.

Mel- It's great Tom has had one ear infection, hopefully that's the only one. Wow your doing a lot of renovating. Are you doing it yourself or bringing people in? Where looking at doing our bathroom and kitchen but doing it ourselves. So looking forward to that job! Cameron usually doesn't sleep for that long so I know something isn't right.

Mel - Picking up an order from Greenbeans first & was planning on meeting you after the expo but am more than happy to meet you there. We did the expo last year together...lol. No ittis for me this year.... Shall we text in the morning & see how you feel & what you decide to do. No children....bliss. Our DC will do cloth but they can't rinse they said...appartantly they do not have facilities...though they have a squirt attached to the toilet...hmmmm. It would probably end up the same with leaking wet clothes. Cloth just can't be left on till it explodes like sposies.....lol. Our centre provides them but still would prefer cloth.
Amy - can you make a clothes line?? Is it for you or Ruth?? I only ask as it may be for your nappies or something. Will try to have another look at my code. Thanks for the tips. Also with the liners, I meant to say the other day, CR gets a bit rashy from suedecloth but not from the fleece, hence the fleece liner. We cant do flushable liners here as were on septic. Even flushables aren't any good for it...bummer.

Ordered clothing labels today...slightly excited. I got CharleeBell & Shabbybums ones. White with a beigey brown writing. Keep it neutral for both boy & girl.

Mel - yeah it was ethan's first haircut, I will try post a photo soon. Good luck with the reno's. Our bathroom is only about a year old and it's got floor to ceiling tiles on the walls and I love it! We have black floor tiles and I hate them, always look dirty!

Kathryn - Hope cam sleeps well tonight for you. I am lucky as Ethan is a great sleeper! 7pm-7am most nights with no wake ups and sometimes up to 3 hours during the day!

Amy - that is terrible about the ticket to the concert!

Bec - I'd love floor to ceiling tiles but it aint going to happen here. We couldn't afford it. As it is I'm luck to be getting the floor tiles replaced. Only happening because the new vanity doesn't fit over where the old vanity is and there is some tile damage. We are painting those awful wooden panel walls (no more swedish sauna look! yay!) so walls will be off white, shower tiles are cream, vanity is white gloss so Ive no idea what to do the floors!

Kathryn - neither DH or I are handy like that so we are getting people in to do it. Luckily Mark is a fireman and lots of his colleagues are tradies so mostly we are getting mates rates. I hope Cameron wakes up feeling more like himself tomorrow.

Mel - when I used your bathroom ...I wondered how the walls would look painted. Nice!! I think my next old house I'm going to do off white/cream right thru.

Thats so cool that you can pick up from GB Id kill to have that option LOL!! Would be funny to put faces to voices too! Ive spoken to Hamish so many times! The clothes line is for my market stall. I thought it would add height and variety to my display. Im right into re-organising my stall atm lol! Yay on the new labels. Im going to get new ones with just my logo on them.

mel bathroom reno sounds nice! I love white walls (although they get all dirty so easily! I am forever scrubbing walls!) floor to ceiling tiles would be insane on grout cleaning! I get frustrated with my grout can you tell? lol! Hand is sore and smelly, Im not allowed to wet it until the doctor has seen it tomorrow, took the bandage off today though it stank and I couldnt drink anything because the smell of the bandage was foul. Now its just the cut that I can smell

Okay. so distracted by the football. Poor O has the worst nappy rash I have seen in a while, he gets them badly when he is teething. I think it is partially food related but cant figure out what it is that is causing it. He is in so much pain. I gave him nurofen before bed and will be giving him more before I go to bed. Poor lil dude

Quick check in. In-laws on the last leg here... currently in singapore about to board plane. All going well so far bar a few minor hiccups with ticketing etc.

I spent all day cleaning and cooking but had help from my mum and a dear friend who came and did the windows.

I did my first ever pregnancy yoga class this morning and fell asleep during the guided imagery part at the end.... lol, lucky it was just a doze. I am a bit sore though and feel like i stretched parts of me that havent been for a while. I am going to book in casually week by week as I will only have 3 more before i am due.

Hi to everyone else. I dont have time for replies as we arent quite finished everything and i need to go tidy up the kitchen etc and then have a shower... i am STINKY!

Cameron's finally asleep!!! Crashed out on the lounge room floor while we watched the Gruen Transfer. Poor lil guy is coughing a lot. Does anyone know if there's childrens cough syrup around?

AFM I forgot I am into my second week of my naturopathy course (restarted) so I better get studying. I have someone that I am coding a site and I am working at the Miessence stand at the expo on Saturday. Pity DH wasn't home earlier or I could have come up on Friday. The person who had the house inspection on Tuesday never showed up and just forgot when the REA called. That sh*ts me a bit as I spent the whole Monday evening and Tuesday morning cleaning and went out of the house for an hour when I didn't need to. A little bit of common courtesy would be nice.

kathryn so glad he went to bed for you. Re cough syrup. I dont know what your doctor says, but mine said that things like demazin and dimetap and children's cough syrup are the cause of about 50% of ear infections in children. The mucus cant get out the nose because of the demazin and cant be coughed up because of the cough syrup so it just sits in the ear and then causes perforated eardrums. I'd ask the GP before giving him a cough syrup....

nat forgot to say last night I use Mail Chimp Its free and you can put your mailing list in alot of formats I was told by someone at the market me seminar that you can put it on your FB page... I just havent figured it out yet I changed because Bravenet is a "yellow" website on my mcafee scanner. So it has some questionable links.

Big day here. Im meant to be going to an ANN meeting this morning, but I have to go get my hand checked at the doctor so I probably wont go. With the traffic I will probably leave here, get there and have to turn around and come back! So might go do the groceries this morning we have no food! LOL!

I also snapped the outer shells of about 25 nappies yesterday so I will be sewing them, then I have a few bibs to do and new tablecloths and my new banner... yep... busy busy!! Better get going so I can get all the online stuff I have to do done before school.

Mands, I was opening a can of spaghetti and the lid flung up and sliced the side of my hand open. It is pretty deep, they superglued it shut rather than stitches. Apparently Im very very lucky I didnt hit any nerves.

I usually only snap a few nappies at a time too... It is SOOOOO boring!! haha... Im considering getting one of the semi-automatic electric ones direct from Kam. Desperately wanted to get one with the big order from GBAU, but I couldnt afford it at the time.

Hi all! Still around and no baby movement, wish it would start already! Got appointment at hospital today so fingers crossed for that. I have noticed slightly puffy ankles at night but that could just be from being active during the day, will see what my blood pressure is like.

Bec- I hope the appointment goes well. I suppose at least you only have a maximum of 20 days left of being pg (I think most places only let you go up to 10 days over). Sorry that probably sounds like a lifetime to a heavily pg lady.

Mel- It will be nice when all the renos are done. We have done a lot in the past but DH did many of them himself so it took ages and guess who had to be his offsider, lol. Not fun.

Amy- I have a snap press and I get tired after doing 3 snaps on a quilt cover let alone a heap of nappies. The automatic ones look handy.

Us- I think I might head off to spotlight since there is 20% off today I think. Chelsea has refused to wear anything but dresses for the last 9 months and it is really difficult to find winter dresses to buy. I think I might buy some of the spotlight dot minky and get my mum to help me make her some dresses. Not as good as the stuff from the USA but great value at $8 a metre.

ceres Oh I remember the "princesses only wear dresses and so do I" stage! There is a nice winter dress by make it perfect called sprout. lined with flanelette etc. very nice. Ive made a few of her patterns before, they are really easy to follow too

I am currently finding most of my sales are coming from markets. I am also getting some wholesale interest. Yeah, the weather has been pretty wild. It was pouring down while I was in Yoga, and I was quite worried about having to walk home in it, but it cleared up by then thankfully! I'm assuming the traffic may have been affected by that?

Princess dresses - great stage. Elisabeth tries that on us but so far we have managed to keep it under control. Not sure how long for though. And since I'm a useless sewer, she's not going to get a lot of options!

Yeah I thought that the dress thing was just going to be a phase but it's been a very long time. I got a lady to knit this dress up for Chelsea in January and it's definitely my favourite. Amy- thanks for showing me that dress. It's very interesting, nothing quite like what I was expecting. I think lining it with flannelette is a good idea.

Well the appointment was ok but had to go up for day monitoring as BP was a little high but came down while I was up there. I also had the CTG monitoring and was having regular tightening but they are not too painful. They decided to do an internal just to make sure I was not in labour and I am only 1 1/2-2cms dilated so no labour here! Head is still high aswell. Had urine and blood tests and one if the bloods was high so I have to go back on Monday and repeat everything they did today. While the MW was in there doing the internal she said she did a stretch so that might move things along!

Ethan was so well behaved and sat in his pram from 10.30-2.45pm when we left! He is asleep now as he did not want to sleep in his pram. I am going to wake him up about 4pm so he goes to bed tonight.

Ros - yeah 20 days does sound like forever but oh well the end is in sight!

Amy - webbies are time wasters I reckon. I could spend hours upon hours fussing. I'd love a good cart too but still unsure how to go about that. Bath time shortly so Id better go deal with my kids like a good mummy. Poor Olly's nappy rash is back. It is all good in the morning and then after a few hours it comes back. No Idea what is causing it, Definitely not being caused by being wet... other wise it would be worst in the morning... Maybe its bread... I feed him multigrain, it might have oats in it which I know is a bad food for him...

Bec - ooooohhh, exciting!!!! Sounds like the blood could just been from the sweep stirring things up. I never got a show or lost my plug until I went into labour. Show came first, no idea when the plug came. I remember timing the contractions and going to the loo and there was the show. Gives me shivers of excitment just remembering!

Nat - I think I'll give the expo a miss tomorrow. I've got a bit on work wise and have to fit in a run and tile shopping. Plus I'm going to check out the Mathilda markets on Sunday. Still up for a catch up around 2pm though.

I personally think it was a fear thing, of giving birth. I got to 8 cm with O and when htey started talking abut pushing I went back to 6. Also the Chiro says my pelvis is badly out of wack making it hard for bub to get to my cervix and help dilate

Evening all,

So glad we took Cameron to the GP. He has an ear infection. On antibiotics now so hopefully it will start working soon. Went to the gym this morning. Poor Cameron had a horrid time. Didn't want to play and was very lethargic. I went to pick him up (after I ordered myself and a coffee with the girls) and the child minders and put him to sleep and that I should go and have my coffee and get him after. Couldn't believe how sweet that was of the girls!!!
Can't believe Cameron is already asleep! Adam is at the gym so I have the place to myself.
Made some yummy cupcakes today! A basic sort of buttercake recipe with different coloured icing.

Bec- Sending birth vibes your way sweetie! Hope the slight blood loss is a good sign. What take out did you go? Ethan did so well to stay in his pram contently for that long, you must be a very proud mummy. It's good the MW did a stretch too to help it all along. When I was pg with Cameron I had HBP at 38 wks and was booked in for obs overnight and had to be induced cos my BP kept rising, had pre-eclampsia.

Amy- How was the soup, sounds yummo. Mmmm love crusty bread. Lol about Olly playing in the stock too cute! Hope you figure out what's causing the nappy rash. I asked the GP about cough syrup and he said its not worth it and doesn't help much. Pharmacists just want to make money lol. How'd everything go with your hand. You deserved the bludge.

Nat- Wow you have been busy sewing! Hope you sell oodles! Have fun at the expo tomorrow.

Mands- Good luck with all the study. Yeah it was tiring Cameron going to bed so late but he's made up for it tonight lol.

Mel thank you for asking, and yes, I am doing well....sort of, lol, just this stupid chronic congested chest of mine and inflamed left sinus, but apart from that I am great! Yes, the boys are keeping me busy for sure, but I do enjoy them heaps! Argh, got PMS bad and so wish I had one of those moon cups that you have, maybe by next month though! Still checking them out online. Anyway, how is Tom going these days, and you?

Hand is sore, but apparently not infected. Doctor and practice nurse both said they werent touching the dressing for fear of hurting me so it has to fall off naturally....

us Ohh Friday, mad sewing day, but gym first. I generally spend the whole time Im there planning my day out in my head. Kinda good really. Olly is being a whinger this morning, nothing is good enough and he is just being a cranky pants. If he were older I would just tell him to take some concrete pills...

I want to make a zippered pouch for R's friend who is having a birthday party tomorrow. Ruth's friend is right into makeup and stuff and at 6 has made the decision she wants to be a beautician or makeup artist very sweet. We got her some sparkly nail polish and will make her the pouch for her new makeup she got from her mum, might embroider her name on the front

I also want to go into some $2 shops and see if I can get some little containers to cover with fabric for the market stall. Changing things up a bit.

Anyway... Im pretty boring on that front... ooo I watched cougar town last night! soooo glad they brought it back, its good value comedy for me, really appeals to my sense of humour. Devastated that Greyson got with laurie at the end though! He is meant to go out with Jules!!!!!! I know... emotionally attached haha...

No news from here :-( still waiting! Had a great night sleep though, went to bed at 11pm and slept until 4.50pm when I had to pee! Then slept again until Ethan woke up at 6.55am.

Nothing planned for today so going to cook some dinners and freeze them for when bub is born.

Morning all,

Cameron slept with me again last night but he didn't wake until 3:30am when Adam went off to work. We got up at 7:30 which was good. He woke up starving, demolished four weet-bix!!!
I've vacuumed and done a couple of loads of washing. I was going to book in and have my hair cut today but Cameron is still very upset. He's gone for a sleep now so hopefully will be down for a couple of hours.
Going to Zumba tonight which I'm hanging out for. Going to get my parents to look after Cameron while DH and I go to the gym.

Bec- Wow you are organised with doing the frozen meals, good for you. Wonderful you had a good night sleep.

Amy- Yay on hitting the gym, enjoy! I know I'm still surprised the girls watched him. Sucks about Olly whinging, bet your looking for to a break and going to the gym. Smart idea going there to plan out your day, hope you get all the sewing done you want. Embroidering her name on the pouch sounds like a great idea. So cute she wants to be a makeup artist or beautician. I'm glad Prime brought back How I Met Your Mother, missed that show.

Annika- Hope your sinus' and chest clear up soon. I'm very thankful I don't have sinus problems.

kathryn 4 WEETBIX!!!!! that is crazy hungry! Good to hear he is eating though! My gym is starting Zumba classes, im uber excited about it! I cant wait. I wont get to do the launch I dont think like I wanted to because they are having a craft market at the same time and I want to have a stall... will see will see.

bec I think that your baby needs to start listening to her mother and come out to say hello! haha. Just kidding, she will come out when she is ready Im so excited for you! Those first few moments with your bub are the greatest, the whole waddling, sleepless, uncomfortable time of pregnancy doesnt seem to matter anymore

Amy - yeah I think that I just need to be patient and she will come when she is ready. I think it is just that I am not used to this waiting part that it is getting to me.

Kathryn - wow 4 weetbix is huge! How much does he normally eat? Ethan either eats 2 weetbix or a bowl of porridge for breaky. Have fun getting your hair done, I am due to go soon but am leaving it until bub is born.

Well I booked myself in for 3pm to get my hair cut. I feel so guilty though! Like I shouldn't take Cameron out and not spend money on stuff for me. Hate feeling this way but my last hair cut was in February.

Cameron has been asleep for two hours so far.

Bec- Cameron normally has two Weet-Bix. I was shocked when he kept crying when he finished each bowl.

Amy- Yeah it is crazy huge!!! I'm not surprised he wasn't interested in morning tea and has been asleep for two hours so far. Oh that's so exciting your starting Zumba classes you'll love it! I'm thinking about doing the training course in Sydney and becoming an instructor.

Kathryn - yeah on Cameron doing a long sleep for you! I can hear Ethan awake in his cot and he was only alseep for an hour and 20mins, so not like him! I also did not get a rest in because I was sitting on the computer! That will teach me!

Bec That is great you got such a good night sleep! Makes all the difference hey! Good on you for getting organized with cooking and freezing meals. I definitely wasn't that organized.

Kathryn Wow, Cameron is doing well with sleeping so long for you!! My goodness, Cameron ate a massive amount for his age hey, so yeah, I bet you were pretty surprised! Bryce is not a big breaky kid, not sure why except he still gets a 200mL bottle formula last thing at night before bed (otherwise he wakes up an hour later crying for it), don't know if it would make him less hungry for the next morning or not. Does Cameron still have a milk bottle?

Amy Good on you for going to the gym!!! I would love to go regularly but we live out of town a fair way. I also got ventolin as well as seretide from my last bout of chronic chest congestion, doesn't seem all that long ago actually, in fact I think I got about 1-2 weeks break in between and the last one hung around for about 2 months as well! I get the side effect from that keeps me wide awake if I use the inhalers late in the evening though so I haven't been using them much. I just SOOOO want it to all clear up for good so I can really get back into singing at church etc, which I so love doing!

Nat Hope you are still enjoying your me day!!! I really long for those, but rarely get them, I have always got Bryce with me even if Tyler is at Kindy. I haven't taken Bryce to the daycare yet (occasional, not for profit) as there has been a heap of stuff going on lately with the goverment taking away their financial support, hence their fees are going to be increased to aprox $100 per day for each kid. We could never afford that!! There aren't really other options with it being a country town.

Had a brilliant time at Zumba tonight so glad I went. My hair is shorter than expected but everyone I've come across likes it so that's a bonus. Cameron's asleep, he is so determined to feed himself, shame he turns his spoon upside lol.
Went to visit my parents to give them some of the cupcakes I made. Cameron coped a lot better with the pups which is great!

Annika- Yeah I was pleasantly surprised with his long nap. Could be the bottle that's making the difference and no Cameron doesn't have a bottle anymore.

Bec- Did Ethan go down for another nap? Hope you can or did get a rest in today.

Kathryn - glad you had fun at Zumba and your hair is getting alot of compliments, I am sure it looks great. No Ethan did not have another nap, he will only have 1 a day no matter how long it is, DP got home from work at 3pm so I got a little bit of time to myself while cooking dinner and stuff. Ethan loves to feed himself but it getting really good at it, he feeds himself most things with no troubles.

Annika - did not end up cooking meals due to Ethans shorter sleep, oh well there might be time next week if bub does not come before then.

Nat - how was Expo? Anything really good there? Dave does not want us to go because we will only spend money we do not have , I can see his point of view but I really wanted to go and check it out. Will see what happens.
