This topic goes out to all the ladies out there who have followed routines out of a book with their children.
I myself followed Gina Ford's contented little baby book from about the 2mth mark with my son as he wasn't sleeping properly and we needed structure. It seemed to work ok he slept through from 7-7 around 4mths old and we still follow it to some degree now. I am thinking about using it again with our second bub BUT I just wanted to see what other books might be out there that people have used.

- What book have you used?
- did you follow it to the dot, follow it losely or only just for reference for things like settling and feeding?
- did you find it easy or hard getting bub into the routine?
- would you use the book again or not?
- did you have a reason for using a routine as some mother's prefer to demand feed etc. but others like routine?

I think I used a book put out by an organisation called Tweddle/Tweedle (?) in Victoria, ie, similar to Karitane etc in NSW. It was a long time ago but I remember that being really helpful. I wasn't super strict about routines but did find it helpful in identifying tired signs etc. I also remember watching a really helpful video in new mother's group. Can't remember what it was called though. (My dd is now 11yo so it was a long time ago).
