This post contains spoilers....
Has anyone else read it? Did you think that Willow drowned at the end? It was sort of up in the air for me. I am hoping she didn't.......

You should put your spoiler alert in the thread title, once they look here it'll be too late!
Yep, Willow drowned alright.

Yes, she did. Quite an unexpected and unfulfilling ending to be honest.....

Shocked me to say the least.
I've just started reading it for the second time.
I also felt that it was copying one of her other books - IYKWIM.

I found this as well, that it was a 'shock' for the sake of it

I LOVE Jodi Picoult - i have read everyone of her books and found this one a bit unsatisfying for me. I also read it when i was about 10 weeks pregnant and it gave me nightmares about having a bub with osteogenesis imperfecta.
The Pact / My Sisters Keeper / Nineteen minutes are my favorites.
I found her newest one "House Rules" a little unsatisforty too. Its like they are rushing her and the stories arent as developed as they could be...

I thought it was sort of beautiful, the way she described that for the first time, she didn't break (the ice did). Certainly a shock, but not one that was just for the sake of it, IMO anyway.

Hmmm, hadn't thought about the ice breaking rather than Willow.
I was pretty p*ssed off about the ending - listened to it as an audio book for 18 hours and wasn't happy at the end!

I was so upset I had to stop myself from throwing the book out the window !
For me, it was like what was the point in the story if she just dies in the end ...
I have read all her books and used to really love her writing .. the last few books I have usually guessed the ending before the fourth or fifth chapter ...
