i have a facebook page for my handmade cards. someone emailed me few weeks ago and asked me whether i do some wedding / engagement cards.
so i made few...and posted up on facebook and let the person knew about it.

she didn't reply any emails...anyway...i just found out...that, she put up 3 of my cards as hers!!!! but she didn't tag my photos or anything. she selling them...??

what happen?? Could she do this???
also on her description, she said that she made good quality cards...and for charity..???

help me please...

OH no...i just found out again...she has 2 pages for her handmade cards. The other page that i just found out, probably 1/2 of them are my cards. what happeneedddd...please help meeee....

She is violating your copyright. Tell her to take them down and contact Facebook.

ETA are you sure they are definitely yours? If so, you should apply a watermark on your cards to help prevent others stealing your images. Something like
"Copyright Swidya".

another thing is...she even put price on each cards (MINE)...
how annoying...!!!

They are definitely mine...taken on top my table with cloth etc...

Definitely report her to facebook as well. She is obviously trying to sell cards when she has none so people will be paying her money for probably nothing unless she intends to copy what you've done.

First email her and tell her to take the pictures down. She might deny they are yours but see what she says...I can help you with the watermark offline via PM.

I commented on a few that she took from yours S. Hopefully she takes then down.

i don't know what happened...but i can't find one of her site (maybe Facebook took it on suspend or something) but the other one still up and running.

If you saw one and then suddenly it isn't there, be careful that she just hasn't blocked you.
Get a friend (with FB account) to check that the sites are there or not.
Just saying as FB take FOREVER to remove pages. We petitioned for WEEKS to get rid of a disgusting racist page and it was still there when I deleted my account a few weeks back - (probably still there).

ouch...but i still can go to the other page tho?? and she's still on mine...but she deleted her post on my wall. might check it out!

i have sent a letter to Facebook...1 site done, took 3 photos down, but because she 'blocked' me on the other 1 , i can't access nor report the photos. on that one she has at least 6...3 were the same on the other site, and some others i couldn't remember...

oh well...hope not many buying off her, as she claimed to give 10% of profit to charity every month.

I would warn other people on other pages, if you pm me I can post on my page.

Can you pm me the name , as the 10% to charity sounds familiar & I think I have liked them in the past but I can't find it . Would hate to "'like'' a page that is ripping off someone else's work .

i could only find one facebook page. she only had general, xmas and baby cards as far as i could see. i can't see a link to another site anywhere but i could be missing somehthing lol. can you still see her fb page?

i got an email from a lady (who most likely to be her friend)...saying that 'the photos posted not always posted by the owner and that I should emailed the owner before making slanderous comments. also the owner away looking after 2 years old that had car accident and now passed away.

i feeeeeellll soooo terrible. Although, i did emailed the lady before found out about the cards posted on her facebook a week later. I also only write politely asking to remove the photos (all deleted when the photos still up)

One of the girl sent me email saying that the owner hasn't been on facebook for 3 weeks or more because she looked after her 2 yo that got accident and now passed away.
i reply that i actually got the email about 2 weeks ago, and i still have the email...because i haven't heard from her. I haven't got any reply for that response...yet...

oh well... it's all in the past...

flick her an email and point out to her that your cards are on her site without your permission and ask them to be removed. give her the weekend to sort it and then if they are not gone then i would go over her head to facebook management and inform them.

which ones are they? she has put up heaps recently

It is terrible and I have seen them up there now. All you can do it report to facebook.

I'm actually disappointed that some people who run support MWWAH websites are actually a fan of this site...just disappointing really.

last time I got a barage of abuse so be aware.

I have been really lucky buying off facebook & haven't been scammed ! But just the last two weeks alone have read about heaps of scammers on FB , if no one comments they won't be stopped !

I have made a few more comments on her page so if she wants to abuse me she can at least it might make a few people think before they buy off her !

I have reported the page to facebook so the more people who do this the better...

I need to put a logo on my card photos also. I don't sell them on facebook but family and friends like to see what I've been making. Except one friend said it gave her ideas and she'd make what I was making.

I guess its a risk you take when putting them up. I've only just put mine up also as I thought for so long about how people would copy them.

I hope it gets sorted out asap OP. Definitely put the watermark logo right over the picture of your cards so they can't copy them and use the photo to say its theirs.

She has deleted all my comments & has blocked me ! Something to hide maybe ! I have reported her to FB .

to make it easier to find ...on facebook search for crafty cards and it is the one with the green card in the profile pic.

She emailed me , she has now closed down her site & is going private ! She has taken her name off her private group , there was an admin name but now its gone .

She blames the person she left in charge for stealing photos ! OH what a tangled web she weaved , I have her name , the friends name & you can quiet clearly read her facebook page & her 2 yr old is quiet clearly very much alive ! When I named her in her email she crapped her dacks , she has now shut her crafty cards profile as well as the other one down !

I had no idea there were this many people scamming on facebook ! This is the third one this week I have watched unfold !

I can't find her 1 site..the other is still up, but i can't access it. I must be blocked after asking them to remove my photos last week...

risa80: when first time i put my cards up on facebook, it's for my family n friends overseas. I asked my brother to show my mum...and she's very surprised i can do things like that. then my friend asking to buy my cards...and the rest is history. that's also why i put it on Craft hobby page...which hopefully i will change to local business oneday.
honesly tho, i don't put many cards up because mostly i sold at kinder and my friends, and that's enough for me...

i don't mind people copy my cards...even exactly the same one, but to use my photo and selling as their is different story. i sometimes take ideas from other card makers too..last week my up-line taking photos some of my cards for the 2nd times...and i'm so flattered...

i think Craft should be enjoy and relaxing...to be share and passionate about. 'this thing the lady whoever who did this' just ruin it...

i agree with you swidya about caseing other people's work-that is cool and if you can rememebr your source then ti is always good to refer to them. i always let them know i have cased them and send a link to them of my blog so they can see. stealing the actual photo though and proclaiming ti as yours is soooo dodgey and wrong.

i had someone do soemhtig similar to me ages ago on ebay selling a similar thing to me. they used my photo cos they couldn't be frigged takign thier own or were being dodgey.

I am trying to find her site too to add a comment as like PP find it disgraceful that not only is she stealing someone elses work, she is also claiming that proceeds will be going to charity which I highly doubt. She is also lying about something so tragic as a 2 year old dying to excuse her behaviour.

I did a search on crafty cards and see a green one with Dad on it but am not sure if thats her. If anyone has a link to her facebook page PM me - I too would like to report her through FB.

funny that the day her so-called friends put on my wall that 'the owner daughter passed away", the same day the owner wrote: "GO TILDA!!!! She has just mastered going forward on her ride along thomas!! Go baby!!!! Step one was going backwards, step 2 forwards and now just to learn to turn properly"

the owner has a new facebook account, but somehow she still has some activity on her wall last saturday... apparantly people have been stalking her ...LOL...

LOL that person stalking her would be me ! Well I am not now & all info was available through facebook & googling her hotmail address . She isn't very clever !

She called me pathetic , after I used her real name & said that it was disgusting using the death of her child when she was caught out using other peoples photos & when I asked for proof that her profits were going to charity .

I have been keeping watch out on the WAHM groups on FB just in case she adds her site . I normally wouldn't bother about things like this , but when she openly lied about her 2 yr old being killed by a drunk drive made me sick ... I have a 2 yr old

I would NEVER buy off Facebook... No offence. I am happy to be a fan of someone who sells on madeit.com or etsy.com... but never just hand over money to someone... Way too dodgy.

Well that is really pathetic of her because of some of the mutual groups we share her name has popped up a few times playing trivia games & buying stuff for her daughter & in all the emails I have she denied stealing photo's & she denied her name . Why was she apologising to you if she did nothing wrong . Her group is still there so I'm sure she is still stealing peoples photos . Wouldn't surprise me if she is still doing it , she lied about her daughter so stealing photos is nothing to her .

one of her page down...apparantly she message all her fans saying they were having to close due to people causing problems for them.

the other one still up...i asked my friend to check it out, but hasn't been accepted as friend...
