is that chocolate for me biggrin.gif

Still have to read back the other thread properly.

Kylie, i would do a save the date. I guess in a way ours is an invite but i only meant for it to be a save the date blush.gif Just that we have already booked the hall and have the entertainment booked too - but then last night it clicked to me that we are only just over 4 months out from her birthday ohmy.gif But traditionally Sept is a super busy month for things with it being the start of Spring

Someone asked where we were from, sorry i cant remember who it was with my mind like a sieve but we are from out Campbelltown way.

Riley had her 6 month correct appointment yesterday and is doing really well biggrin.gif She passed all her milestones with flying colours (sorry to the FB people who have already read this) According to the paed she is more at a 9 month level than a 6 month so obviously both DH and I were over the moon with that. He was joking saying that she will walk into her next appointment LOL I dont think so but then he has been right with all his other predictions, that she would be sitting by herself at this appt and also would have tripled her birth weight by around this age too. Measurement wise, she is now a big 7kg girl, 68cm long. He had trouble measuring her head because she will not stay still at all, he got it smaller than i did so i am not concerned (i know Dr suck at taking measurements hence why us nurses get so good at it LOL) Since birth she has over tripled her birth weight and well and truly over tripled her lowest weight and has grown 25.5cm in length! I am just so happy that we have managed to avoid needing any extra therapy or assistance with her. We were warned that the anaemia may have had an impact but obviously not (at this point)

Anyway, sorry for the me post. We are just so proud of our little Princess, all the extra work we are putting in with her are paying off original.gif

Purple for me! wink.gif

Having friends come for lunch today but feel so drained - Just. Can't. Get. Moving.

Luckily DH is in charge of the main and I did the pastry case for dessert last night.

Okay, I have a whining 7 yo to attend to....(wants to wear a summer dress without leggings underneath. I said the leggings aren't optional in this weather. You'd think the world had come to an end rolleyes.gif )

Hi Girls waves.gif

H is being feral wacko.gif That's the only way I can describe it!! He is so whingy and is throwing little tantys. I think his top 2 teeth are starting to come down and he is not happy at all...poor little boy.

Oooh yay i actually realised there was a new thread before it was 7 pages long laughing2.gif

Karen that is such great news about Riley! ddance.gif

Having a really frustrating day today - Amy is being a pain in the bum. I guess cause she didnt get too much sleep last night cause she had such a huge tanty going to sleep rolleyes.gif

Phoebe is finally starting to eat! Yay! I am managing to get some Raffertys into her and she seems to be enjoying it. Yay! hehe Knew we would get there eventually! And she has started sitting too, so she is going well wub.gif

Ok best go. Sorry for the crappy post blush.gif Hope everyone has a great weekend and catch you all on FB no doubt wink.gif xoxo

Hi guys, just a quick one to say you really have to check out Clarindas FB page and get one of those cubes she makes with the bells in them... greta has literally player with it ALL day... I've been able to crack on with getting a couple boxes unpacked cos she's just played with it so well.. She swings it around her head then throws if down to her feet then kicks it laughing2.gif I keep seeing this pink object whizzing accross the house when she flings it laughing2.gif

guess what I did, made up all Gretas bottles and left them in the fridge in the apartment, and of course we have left there now so DH has gone up to the chemist for more bottles ddoh.gif

well I'm out to dinner tonight with the girls... I'm glad to escape the mess, I think we will never get straight it's a nightmare.

Awww Greta is playing footie with her cube now laughing2.gif

Hello GIrls
I have been MIA posating but have been reading frequently.. Am glad everyones bubs are doing well..

Just a small update.. Ollie is now a whopping 9kgs and 77cm long.. (gonna be a TALL boy!!) He is eating anything and everything in sight. and has dropped down to 4 bottles a day at 120mls. But he is makin up for it with food. He has a peice of toast for breaky and a weetbix,, lunch he has a yoghurt and 2 cruskits, dinner he will have his veges - but he doesn't like them mashed anymore so I keep them cubed and he feeds himself off his plate along with broken up peices of meat - silverside, chicken.. he is soo cluey on moving the food around his mouth to get to between his gums to chew it up as he doesn't have any teeth yet.. am so impressed.

Oh and he has FOUND HIS DOODLE! Every time his nappy is off or in the bath he is playing with it.. guess boys will be boys..

I took Ollie to Gymboree the other day and he didn't really like it much - that or he was just tired.

We are having an Ollie free night tonight for our 5th Anniversary! Dinner and movie is good with us!

Take care everyone!

Kylie
koiles
Drumroll...I have a babyfree night!! The IL's came round this afternoon and my MIL kept making jokes about how much E would love a sleepover at their place and that she was going to kidnap him, so I jokingly said 'ok I'll go pack his bag then' but she was serious and almost wet herself with excitement so I couldn't say no! I wasn't really prepared for it so it kind of threw me, DH was actually very reluctant, I thought he'd jump at the chance! But it's been so lovely this afternoon, I went to Spotlight to get some fabric and DH went to the golf driving range, we've just made dinner and are about to head out to the Pancake Parlour for dessert *drool*. The thought of having a whole night's uninterrupted sleep and being able to wake up when our bodies tell us to tomorrow rather than being woken up by a baby or alarm clock is truly glorious to think about biggrin.gif. I was sad watching him drive away but got over it very quickly wink.gif.

Thanks for the feedback on when to send the invites. I think I might wait another month or two and then send 'save the date' cards. I think I'll do it early because everyone at mum's group has bubs around the same age so I want to get in first...is that wrong? lol. I'd been thinking it but when I wrote it, it sounded b**chy. Probably because it's a Saturday and it's his actual bday so I really want to have it on the day...and those whose bdays fall during the week might choose to have it the weekend before or after...I don't want to compete with anyone else over which bday party people go to! How did everyone else manage that, were there ever parties scheduled on the same day and how did you get around it without people 'choosing sides' so to speak?

Karen that is so fantastic, I'm loving hearing how well Miss Riley is doing. All your hard work has certainly paid off. Was 7kg more than you thought she'd weigh? I know you said before the appt you were worried he'd say she needed to put more on. At 6m1w E has just cracked the 8kg mark (50th%)and last time I measured him he was around 73/74cms...but that's tall (97th%)! Both of our 24/10EDD bubs are flying along wub.gif.

Kristy hope you had a lovely lunch. I hear you on the lack of motivation...mines been missing for a while though hehe.

Jo aww poor H, hope those teeth stop giving him grief. What did you cook in the slow cooker? We had apricot chicken last night and it's now one of my favourites, soooo good.

Jayne yay Phoebe! E absolutely loves the Rafferty's stuff, he devours it so much quicker than he does my food *sniff*. I buy the Rafferty's stuff for if we're going out somewhere and also to test him on new flavours before I make my own. I LOVE the stuff...when I'm feeding him I'll do a couple of spoons for E and a spoon for mummy laughing2.gif they are delicious. Sorry to hear Amy's giving you a hard time again.

Mandy bugger about the bottles, could you ring the owner to get them for you? I'd be spewing if I lost bottles lol. Ooo I'm heading off to FB to check out the cubes now. At my PND group they have a big box of toys for the kids to play with and there's one of those Lamaze cubes, which I'm assuming would be similar to what you're talking about - E goes straight for it everytime and plays with it for ages, normally he's a 'play for 5min then look for something new' kid rolleyes.gif.

Kylie LOL roll2.gif I can't believe he's found his doodle already, I've been wondering when this would happen with boys! Happy anniversary wub.gif, we've got a baby free night too, so nice! Enjoy your dinner and movie.

AFM I've been having deja vu all week and it hasn't been enjoyable. I've been having some of the same symptoms I had in the early stages of pregnancy with E. Honestly, I don't think I'm pg but the number of times this week I've found myself thinking 'that happened before I found out I was pregnant' is weird and it's freaking me out. Taking my pill is like a religion for me I'm that anal about it and the thought that I may get pg again physically makes me shake. AF is due in the next few days so at least that will put my mind at ease and I can stop feeling sick about it all. (Jess sorry lovely I know you're TTC and are disappointed AF arrives - I'm not trying to make you feel bad!)
jemso
kylie doesnt worry me at all. i know how bad you DONT want to be pregnant, so all is good. i dont think i have been trying long enough to get too upset about other people being pregnant yet.

lucky you getting a baby free night. LOL i say that, but i know if i wanted a baby free night i could get one easy. i am coming around to the idea a bit more now, and am a lot less reluctant to let emily stay at ILs.

jayne emily was EXACTLY the same. she wouldnt eat my food, but as soon as i tried the raffertys she has gone great guns. i bet its one less thing on your mind anyway. sorry that you are having troubles with amy. was that the reason you went to ngala (or however its spelled) a few months back?

raky hope you have a lovely night in for your anniversary!

well thats my pathetic attempt at personals.

emily is still sick, i dont know if she isnt feeding as well cos she is sick, or if my boobs are just full from her sleeping through last night (yay) i feel so bad for her, she is so snuffly and i guess i should at least be happy she can still breathe through her nose, but it makes me wanna cry cos i hate seeing her sick.

i am on my own now, DH has gone out to the pub for drinks with the boys. so jealous, i would have gone times past. so i have to do the night routine on my own, and attempt to shower my great big fat baby (she gives me backaches she is so heavy)

oh, and i obviously still have baby brain, cos you know the mattress we were going to get? well i thought it was $1600 but turns out it is $2600. i was so sure the guy from harvey norman said it was $1600 and im sure i read $1600 on the sheet he gave us. so i guess we will be waiting another few weeks for it.
Iammum
Hey!

1st Birthdays. For Jakes we had everyone here I think there was about 20 people laughing2.gif and it was mostly family! hahaha I never went to mothers group when I had Jake and still didnt after Luc never really been into it. But yeh I sent out invites about a month before hand we had it on the sunday before his actually birthday which was the wednesday after. My mum had to work that day but came over when she finished at 2pm. My dad never came because he was "too busy". DP Mum, partner and sister and her partner all drove up from Australind (1.5hour drive) to get here for the party so that was nice, DP dad also came with his gf and her daughter. DP other sister also came up. My "ex" step mum came with her new partner and my brothers and sister. also my other sister came with a friend and my nana and aunty came with my cousins and little brother and sister. and so on and so on and of course my bestie came too original.gif but OMG I was run off my feet I didnt get to relax at all...... DP didnt do anything, didnt even bloody neaten himself up! Just sat out the back with everyone and talked while I was in the kitchen. My nana & aunty helped me though. We didnt do anything to OTT cause it was only 1st bday and they dont remember just a BBQ and banana's in pyjamas cake and balloons hehehe

with Luc I think he and Jake can have a combined party, but well see cause their bdays are only 12 days apart.

Yay for the Kylie's having baby free nights lucky ducks!

I moved Lucas' cot into Jacobs room today, trying to get Jacob sleeping in his own bed in his own room! see how we go, Lucas is fine he likes his bed! Its gonna be weird though not being able to just open my eyes to check on him Im gonna have to walk all the way to the end of the house sad.gif Im gonna miss my bubba wub.gif his so cute, had him sitting in a trolley in the trolly mate today at the shop he was making all these noises big bloody show off, loves attention! hehe
jemso
So annoyed right now. DH got home from he pub, was really noisy (being drunk and all that) woke Emily up, and as soon as she started whinging goes into her room and shoves the dummy in her mouth. She is not used to this and is now wide awake, refusing to feed so is now in the swing watching tv in the loungeroom.

If he had just left her alone she would probably gone right back to sleep. But of course since he is always sound asleep when she wakes in the middle of the night so how would he know that?

Just really annoyed right now, and even though DH has said that he will put her down why would iwant him to?

And to top it all off Emily has contaminated me with her cold and I feel like sh*t.
Freyja
Jess - How annoying! I think I would have torn shreds off Dh if he did that - baby awake anyway, lol. Yeah, $1600 would have been an amazing price! I think we paid about that for our mattress 7.5 years ago. We'll probably need to look at getting another one one in 2-3 years.

lammum
- Oh, he sits in the trolley! wub.gif I guess I have that to look forward to once the blob learns to sit - her's nearly there wink.gif

Kylie
- Wow - a baby free night sounds great - but hard too! I can't leave Owen yet as he has a 5am breastfeed which is his biggest milk feed of the day. Both sides. Man, I am looking forward to the day I can. I never had the 1st birthday problem as I didn't invite mums group friends. I invited family and friends we have had for years. I saved the mums group friends for 3rd and 4th birthdays at the park etc. Yeah - get in first! I'm not even planning a big 1st for Owen ph34r.gif He's had a beautiful baptism already so maybe something low key..I don't know. Oh hope you're not pg!

Kylie - lol re: Ollie finding his private bits. Owen has pulled on his a couple of times by accident but never on purpose (yet!). Wow - he's eating so well! That's the second time someone has mentioned cruskets to me so maybe I will have to try them.

Mandy - You did well leaving Great original.gif It's my turn on the 12th and I'm a bit anxious about it.

Lunch was lovely yesterday. We managed to get everything done. This afternoon we're off to the kid's athletics presentation. They get trophies wub.gif It will be Rose's very first. I have a beautiful baby smiling at me from his cot so I better go and get him grin.gif

koiles
Well, my baby free night and morning was h e a v e n l y! I still woke up at the time when E normally gets up and didn't really sleep well after that...well, I still slept til 9.15am but was waking up every half hour to check the time! After DH initially being reluctant he ended up getting over it very quickly...in fact, as bad as it sounds, neither of us were in any great rush to go pick him up today. But once I got there and saw him I realised how much I'd missed him. Still, that time not having to think about anyone other than ourselves was a nice feeling. The IL's enjoyed having him too...even though he's a teething whingey sh*te who they had to get up to a couple of times during the night, but they still loved it!

I've been sewing tonight...sewed my first ever matching terry-backed bib and burp cloth set, I'm sooo happy with how they turned out. I just have to iron them tomorrow (need to find my iron it's been that long since it was last used) and then top stitch and add the press stud fastener. Very happy with myself! biggrin.gif

Question - when does a tooth stop hurting bub? Once it's cut or once it's fully through? E seems worse today than he was the other day when it started to cut, so I'm wondering if it's the same tooth giving him grief or if the second one next to it is about to come through too.

Bah gotta run E is awake grr. More panadol required, poor boy.
MnM
I'm going to pick my puddy cat up today eexcite.gif I can't wait to have my entire family back together again biggrin.gif

Got in some kind of order last night, put all the boxes in the 4th bedroom and we are gonna pull one out at a time and go through them like that.. We have, snug and rumpus all set up but lounge room has no furniture at present so is like a giant hallway!

Oh bugger, Greta just stole the crust off my toast Tounge1.gif little piggy.

Kids are back to sleeping better now they are in seperate rooms, think the bugged each other in the apartment and woke each other when one stirred but now they are in their own rooms again they're sleeping till 7am is like before.. Miles always wakes first.

Koiles: yay on a baby free night tthumbs.gif
as for teething pain, hmmm well all the research into it I've read suggests that bubs actually feel no pain at all and I really don't know but all I can say is it was certainly true for Miles, he never slept/was any different and I only knew he had teeth when I put my finger in his mouth.. Also when I got my wisdom teeth around age 18yrs I felt no pain either.. Don't think Greta has any teeth yet so can't comment on her - of course it could just be that my kids have my weird gum genes laughing2.gif but I dunno.. These same experts also insist there is no colic and it's just unsettled bub, so goodness knows.
Hope he doesn't suffer too much anyhow.

Sorry not read back exept the previous post... hope everyone is well

Well plumbers have arrived so best get on waves.gif
Bluey04
quickie from me... one whingy child who's missing daddy and one who refuses to go down for a nap...

kylie - usually 2-3 days afterwards was the norm for Liam. His teeth had to be fully out - as in, you can't see the swollen gum anymore in that spot before he went back to normal. Alex appears the same although is a much easier teether than Liam was - with him the pain didn't last as long as Liams t appears.

mandy - glad to hear move went well original.gif

Hello All,

We are back from holidays and had a great time away. For those in my due-in group you may remember that my DH dislocated his shoulder when we were skiing in queenstown last year.....well guess what? he dislocated it again while we were on holidays. rolleyes.gif It was all a bit fun having the ambulance crew come down to the shoreline of the beach and then getting DD and DS up the hill and into the car with all our crap and then finding the hospital....but anyway....he is fine now, they just popped it back in at the hospital and it only hurts him a little bit now.

Not much else to tell apart from DS crawling, little bugger. I'm so not ready for him to be doing this. I'm going to have to secure all the powerleads and extension cords as he is compltely fascinated by them and obsessed with trying to chew on them.

Anyway - better go, not much rest happening here with Mr crawler!

Hello to everyone

Rach
koiles
I'm starting to freak...AF should have arrived yesterday and still no sign and I'm very regular, and today I've woken up with what is hauntingly familiar to morning sickness only about 1.5 times worse than I had with E (which wasn't fun for me). I've been in the bathroom every 30mins since E first woke me up at 5am. I'm only JUST starting to feel a little better at around 11am but still have that queasiness. This on top of everything else that's been going on this week has me almost beside myself, but I can't bring myself to test. Praying AF hurries up and makes a late entrance cry1.gif. DH also woke up feeling slightly out of the ordinary so I'm hoping it's something we ate hands.gif.

E seems to be back to his usual self even though the tooth isn't fully through yet...they are sharp little things though! I'm still amazed how quickly they can con you...when he was in a lot of pain at night I'd been taking him into bed with me to sleep, last night he put on such a production I thought he was really hurting, got him into our bed and he lay there babbling and laughing. Little bugger. Back in his own cot he went.

Off to drag myself to the couch in the hope trashy daytime tv will make me feel better. At least E is at daycare today so I can recoup on my own, but I'm not happy about not getting paid for missing a work day and still having to pay daycare sad.gif.
Freyja
Kylie - Hope you feel a bit better soon. Did you get morning sickness this early with E? Mine always started at 6-7 weeks so hopefully it is just a bug. Perhaps E's 2nd tooth is on its way? Owen got his one day apart from each other.

Rachel - Welcome home! You holiday was eventful at least.

Mandy - Yay! You're in original.gif

Not much to report today, it's all a bit boring! I might go and lie down on the lounge while Owen is asleep and DD watches Dora. Would MUCH prefer to watch Dr. Phil family that I have recorded but don't like my chances of winning the TV fight.
MnM
Hi,

I'm a bit stuck, Greta is asleep so o can't unpack her room and Amber (our cat) is in the spare room with all the other boxes, I can't open the door cos the builders have all the doors in the house open and I'm scared she'll escape.. So I'm watching the Wiggles with Miles wub.gif

oh bugga Rach... I hope he's ok - bit of drama on your holiday, not what you want. Yay Harper on crawling cclap.gif go little man! But not too fast, don't wanna wear your mama out Tounge1.gif

koiles: honestly, you're gonna have to test, other wise you'll stress yourself... You'll know in 2 minutes if you test and put your mind at rest. I hope it's not that.. FWIWivd had bad neausea for about 6 weeks and I'm not pregnant I have a mirena fitted.. No clue what's wrong with me!
As Kristy says, would it show so early? I never got sickness till 7 weeks with my 2.
Good luck, hope it's just a virus bbighug.gif

afm; Greta had a full Weet-bix for lunch with 60mls of formula and half a banana.. Whoo hoo got some milk down her eexcite.gif
just got the plumbers fixing up our main bathroom... It'll be a few days though I imagine till it's done.
Can't get used to how quiet it I'd here, just hear birds and silence it's amazing k love it biggrin.gif

hmmm, as much as I love snuggling my munchkin I gotta go do something usefull.

I'm starting to de-stress and err on the side of it being a really nasty bug. I haven't kept anything down all day long and have pretty much just been sleeping in every bed and couch in the house, moving once I get uncomfortable in one! It's absolutely horrible I haven't felt this awful in years. FIL is going to pick E up from daycare for me and take him to their place until DH gets home and picks him up. Yeah was about 6wks with E when it first started and never ended!
Iammum
urrrr Kylie sounds awful you poor thing. Hope you feel better soon sad.gif

Deleted due to nosieness!
MnM
Sounds similar to a nasty virus i had a while ago and i still have the sick feeling now... so unfair isnt it, we get mornign sickness for 9 months and then have the babies and get a sickness virus! not far at all. Do you know i worked out once that in total with my 4 pregnancies i had vomited for a total of 23 onths every single day - how unfair is that sad.gif DH gets a virus and vomits 3 times and acts like he is dying .. ok whinge over, get well soon.

On a good note the builders are all done for the day and i just shut the house up and let my cat out of the bedroom and she is wondering all over the house wub.gif being chased by Miles rolleyes.gif poor luv, she is going to go stir crazy being stuck in her for a week but needs must.. shes an old lady now though she'll just sleep i suspect.

A package just arrived from my mum biggrin.gif full of gorgeous hand made cardigans from my mum and english choccies for me hheart.gif my mum eexcite.gif

Oh and my little birdhouse for Greta's room just arrived, its so tiny i thougt it'd be much bigger - its so darn cute - so pretty and girly, there is something so girly abotu birdhouses wub.gif

Ok best go check Miles hasn't shoved a broom handle up the cats bum or anything ffear.gif
jemso
iammum i am in EXACTLY the same position as you. BIL has 4 kids and we end up just giving them money (cos BIL and his wife spend $1000s on their kids and they literally dont need ANYTHING) so at xmas we gave them varying amounts of cash totalling $110 and they buy emily this crappy doll that i saw on sale for $10. unfortunately there isnt much you can do unless you really dont want anything to do with them and just not buy the kids anything. i know that sounds unfair on the kids, but the more money you spend on their kids the less you have to spend on your own. hope i dont sound like too much of a b**ch for saying that...
MnM
Lammum: I had this too, i have 2 nephews, aged 15yrs and 13 yrs so for 15 yrs i have bought for both of them AND my sister too (never buy for BIL for some odd reason) anyway, i bought for Xmas and b'days for my sister and my 2 nephews for years, then when i had Miles my sister calls me and says she can't afford to buy for my AND a child as well... WHAT THE... i have bought for her and her 2 sons for 15 yrs aannoyed.gif anyway i know she is very short on cash so we decided that we would just buy for the kids and not each other so we now just have 2 kids each to buy for and don't buy for each other.

But what i was gonna suggest with you as your IL's have way more kids than you is to suggest a secret santa and each buy for one of each of you so you only have to buy one gift each rather than all of your IL's kids.. its not fair to make you buy for 7 kids when you only have 2. either that or agree you will all spend say $50 or $100 and that has to be shared out no matter how many kids you all have... or do a deposit into their bank accounts of $10 each or something.. i dont know its just not fair you have to buy for 7 kids.

Sorry about your MIL, thats realyl bad to bag you out on Fb aannoyed.gif id be p*ssed, very un-classy. I forget about Mothers day in the UK cos im over here but my sister always sends me a quick SMS to remind me or id have no clue - how the hell are we meant to remember these things when we aren't around them.. hope id didn't upset yo utoo much, it was just a genuine mistake, we've all made - really stinks your MIL broadcasted it on FB nno2.gif

Chantal: Whoo hooo, thats great about the job.. ive promised DH i will go back in Jan next year but im not sure i want to - will cross that bridge when we come to it - only 2 days a week though so not too bad for me... enjoy your new free time tthumbs.gif
Iammum
I went shopping with my mum today, shes looking all spick and span ready to start her new job as a Real Estate Sales Rep in a weeks time.... Im so excited for her, its a whole new chapter of her life about to start shes gonna be a career woman! very proud of my mummy! she had me when she was 18 and never really had a career only ever worked in super markets or retail stores now shes actually done something constructive so happy for her :-)

weeheee 2 more sleeps to go until my super awesome photo shoot!!!!!

just to clarify as well, i know that some people go on about being ungracious about gifts (i know there are some EBers that do) and that because they are gifts you should just be grateful for what you got. and i think to an extent you should be grateful for what you get, but do find it annoying when it isnt reciprocated back to you when you go to lots of effort/spend lots of money on someone elses child. iammum you should just buy cheapo pressies when you see them throughout the year (you can pickup nice stuff for 5-10 bucks if you pick stuff up throughout the year) and keep a regifting box. i know this may get some people angry, but i regift stuff all the time (i somehow must give out the vibe that i like nanna soaps and candles and stuff LOL) and if you REALLY dont like your ILs regift their stuff back to them hahahahahahaha. and arent you worried that your SIL is still snooping on our group?

kylie i think emilys teeth stopped hurting her a few days after they came through. she had her 2 bottom teeth come through within 1 day of each other.

hope your feeling better soon (and AF makes an appearance)

rach glad you had a great holiday, bummer bout your DH dislocating his shoulder though.

chantal thats GREAT news you have been given the green light to resign from your job!

afm still feel yucky. got the sh*ts at MIL yesterday cos i went out to the shops to pick up some stock boxes from my old work (cos i cleaned out emilys cupboard yesterday - we call it the junk cupboard LOL) and just as i was walking in the door i got a text from MIL asking if she could take emily for a walk (in her crappy pram) and i say no, cos emily and i are sick, and i really didnt want her out in the cold air. and then i tell DH and he tells me his dad called him just after i left and he told his dad who would DEFINATELY have told MIL that we were sick, yet she still wants to take my baby out in the cold air. grrr. then i am laying down to have a rest while emily was having her afternoon nap, and just after i layed down in bed guess who turns up. and of course MIL had to stay for 1 hour until emily woke up.

yeah, so the other night when DH woke emily it took her 2.5 hours to go back down to sleep. and he then got all defensive cos he was "trying to help" but we never give her the dummy at night unless she has been whinging for ages and i know she isnt hungry. and so when we got her up she was not interested in having some yummy boobies, she wanted to watch tv instead. so she watched tv in the swing for 1.5 hours then i tried feeding her again, and all was good. i was just so annoyed though. and then DH was like i will put her to bed, you go back to sleep. and im like, you are drunk, why would i want you trying to put my baby to bed when most likely you will wake her whilst trying to do it. and what a shame, he didnt get to sleep in much the next day cos emily started whinging at about 10am.

yeah, and going pretty good on the "clean the unit for sale" project. i have done all the big things except one (empty one of the kitchen cabinets and make it look pretty) and just have cleaning to do.

lammum - re presents. DH has 3 nephews/neices (11, 8 and 6) and we bought them prsents every year. once Alex was born, they, being Dh's auntie (his mothers sister) and his cousin called up Dh's mum one day about a week before xmas ohmy.gif to say they're not getting any presents for our kids as there is 'too many now' - Dh and i have two and Dh's brother has one that was born last year as well so total of 3. DH's mum threw a massive tanty about it - she's been buying for all of them all these years but as soon as she becomes a grandmother and they have to shell out for kids they refuse. anyway, she made such a fuss they did in fact get prsents fo the kids last year. yes, they weere cheap nasty ones but at least they still got something. i think the idea of cash is a good one, or putting a $$$ limit on kids presents. or say we're not getting anything for adults, just kids as really xmas isn't about adults anyway (this is what we're doing this year hopefully) to reduce total $$$'s...
Jayniepoo
Argh the whole present buying thing can be a problem! We normally do a secret santa thing. Makes it a lot easier (so long as you remember to write down who you are buying for laughing2.gif ) We do that with DHs family, but with my family we just buy for the kids original.gif

Hi ladies

I'm the worst member of this group surely? It's so easy to keep up to date on Facebook and my time is slim so I find it hard to get on here.

I haven't caught up, but I wanted to pop in and say hi as well as try to ease back in, I miss you all!

Audrey is wonderful, spectacular really, I love her more each day.

My Bella had her 3 rd birthday on Friday and I couldn't believe the time has flown by so quickly. She is becoming so grown up! I put some photos on facebook.

I also got to cuddle a 10 day old baby, almost... ALMOST made me clucky hehehe.. I think DH was secretly scared the way he was hovering ohmy.gif

take care ladies, I'll be back to post properly soon!

Morning original.gif

Chantal
- Fantastic! You seem so excited. Enjoy thinking of all the wonderful things you can do now you don't have to work.

Lisa
- Yeah, 3 is a 'big girl' now! It won't be long before she's at school you know.

lammum
- Mandy's secret Santa idea is good or I'd even buy one present for the family at Christmas time - like a cricket set or something sporty that they all play together. Or just cheaper pressies. I do what Jess does and buy things on sale when I see them and put them in a cupboard. My pressies usually only cost $10-$15 but you'd think we spent more wink.gif

Jess
- are you both feeling better today?

Mandy
- Is Mothers Day a different day in the UK? Interesting!

Owen and I are visiting a friend for lunch today which will be nice original.gif. I just need to get some exercise in first. 8 days til I start working! I am getting these moments of "Oh my god, I am leaving Owen with STRANGER who will be feeding him, and putting him to sleep - what will he be THINKING?" I guess that's normal??? Such a nervous time.
MnM
Yea Mothers day in the UK is March so they already had it, and Fathers day is in June so i have that to uy for next month. Australia go by the American dates and Europe go by a different date.

Im planning on doing one ofthose photo books for my parents anniversary, 40 yrs in July... theyre quite costly and we already bought them flights over to thailand but its like a momento type thing so i think i'll go for it... ive got a few pics of me and my sister as kids then ill do some of my 2 and my sisters 2 boys.. best get on with it i only have 9 weeks till we fly out to the uk and unpacking is taking all my time.

Easy day today.. Miles is at care so just me and the little one wub.gif Missing my little boy though hes so funny wub.gif Got plumbers and tilers and some guys putting DH's piano together though.. so all hectic as ever!

Greta has been sleeping longer, not waking till 7.30 - 8am.. must be cos we aren't on a main road anymore and the morning traffic isnt waking her... she used to wake at 5.30-6.30am at the old house so thats good.

Ok best get her down for her 1st nap of the day waves.gif

Iammum
I've friggin well and truely had it!!!!!!!!

Sorry girls ive just had enough of them!
jemso
leish im sorry you have such crappy inlaws. they should **** OFF AND GET A LIFE. just stay strong chicky. you havent done anything wrong.

and your MIL and SIL can get ****ed. if i could i would come and b**ch slap you.

i am very sorry if i have offended anyone with my swearing (not that you can see it anyway biggrin.gif but you know its there)
koiles
Mandy I wouldn't test if I thought I was pg...'if I ignore it it will go away' lol. I'd probably wait until I was showing and then go 'ooohhh sh*t'. Go Greta with her weetbix...I'd always been told not to give babies weetbix but I think that's quite a few of you in this group now whose bubs love them, might have to give E a go with one. Can't wait to see a pic of the birdhouse in G's room! Ohh so jealous with the handmade cardi's wub.gif. I had E in one the other day and someone in the lift at the shop commented how old fashioned it was to see a baby in handmade knitwear...I still don't know if she was saying it in a good or bad way lol...I looovvveee knitted clothes on babies & kids and I'm dressing him in it now before he's old enough to tell me how uncool it is laugh.gif.

Iammum your DP's family suck. Constant problems with them and the main theme is that they're complete interfering know-it-alls. What reason would your MIL have to come in here and spy on what you're writing?? Biggest joke ever. It's like they want to cut off all your social outlets - they've had a go on FB too and made you close down your account at one point. I don't know how you live with it, you're handling it a lot better than I would hhugs.gif. At least you know it's them and not you...you've done nothing wrong, they are just not normal. As for the pressies, mum's side of the family had 13 grandkids - 3 families bought for each other while the other 2 decided early on not to (they were the last lot to have kids wink.gif) they had a rule that once you were over a certain age (think it was 14/15 from memory) you didn't get any bday presents anymore, and then over 18 for Christmas...and they were never super expensive presents, maybe $10 or $20 in a card, one aunty used to buy us a scratchie as funds were very tight...was just nice to get a present even if it was small, we still always got a card though and our parents always told us that once we reached x age we wouldn't, so it was never like 'oh we didn't get anything this year' iykwim. I like the cheap pressies idea...you could get away with that while the kids were still young enough and then once they're old enough to realise how cheap you're being maybe go to secret santa instead?

Chantal yep I'm extremely pedantic about the pill, but honestly, with my luck I could very well be the 1% who fall pregnant on the pill rolleyes.gif. I got pregnant first go last time so I know the fertile gene is there. Too scary to think about, I can't believe I wanted 4 before I had E huh.gif. E's teething wreaks havoc on his sleep too and I can always tell because he wakes screaming straight away and it's a real painful cry. He'll also whimper in his sleep sometimes too, poor bugger. That is so fantastic you're giving up work! I bet you're over the moon!

Jess grr I think MILs can just be so excited and want to see/play with bub that they just don't stop and think it through. I've told MIL a number of times that E is winding down for a sleep, etc. so the first thing she does is sit him on her knee and sing songs and clap hands and then wonders why he goes into a total meltdown. Well done on the cleaning, not a nice job hehe.

Marina a week before Xmas? I would have gone flipping bonkers at them! Who leaves their shopping that late anyway, I would have already bought the pressies.

Lisa Bella looked so gorgeous as Dora, I hope she had a great party.

Kristy hope you and Owen had a lovely lunch. Lol I had to smile at your 'doubts' I was thinking the same thing this morning...over the past 2 days I've seen E for a total of about 10mins because I've been so sick, the poor boy has been shuffled to daycare, then IL's picked him up, then DH got home and took over, then back to IL's today...he's not going to have a clue what's going on, but he's still happy!

AFM crisis over, AF arrived...never been more glad in my whole life. Very light though, not that I'm complaining, it's been quite heavy since I had E, so it's more 'back to normal' now. I'm feeling 110% better today, haven't thrown up since last night and so far have managed to keep down some dry crackers, a bottle of lucozade and some chicken soup (how cliche!). My body is just so so sore though, my ribs and sides are aching from all the retching yesterday sad.gif. FIL came round and picked up E this morning and has taken him to their place for the day wub.gif so thankful. I think I'm dehydrated today from yesterday because I've had the shakes and I'm really dizzy and lightheaded...not good when carrying a baby around, so I'm glad FIL was able to take him.
harpsichord
Kylie - so glad that AF arrived! I'm glad you're starting to feel better. Sounds like the IL's have been a good help lately.

Iammum - Honestly I wouldn't be posting any of the family stuff on the WWW, but that's just me. I'm a bit of a weirdo private one like that.

Mandy - so glad to see that you're settling into the new house! You'll have to have the Sydney girls over for a visit! Might even bring a gift! wink.gif biggrin.gif

Kristy - 8 days till you work! How exciting! I'm so glad to read that FDC is going to work out well for Owen.

Jess - we used to have the 'be quiet' arguments all the time with DD. Luckily DH is a lot more considerate this time around....I think it just takes some blokes awhile to accept the fatherhood thing. That was the case for us anyway.

Not much else to contribute laugh.gif

Had my parents here the last 2 days, so that's kept us busy. Looking forward to going out for dinner with friends on Friday night and then of course Mother's day.....be interesting to see what DH comes up with laugh.gif

Time to go,
Rach

Hi Girls waves.gif

just saying hi.Both my kids are sick.M isn't to bad especially because I can give her some dimetapp but H is so miserable sad.gif He can't breathe so he won't sleep and he just doesn't know what he wants.I have given him some panadol and fess.i think tonight I will put the vapouriser on for him.
I only got 3 hrs sleep last night so I am walking around like a zombie and today is DH's day off but of coarse he has had to run off to a meeting aannoyed.gif
Anyway best get back to cuddling my babies wub.gif This is the first time I have had both kids sick and I feel like i am covered with boogies from their runny noses sick.gif I feel like I have changed my top a million times today and that antibacterial handwash has been a God send!!Sorry for being gross but it's a new experience for me having 2 sick kids!!

Hi,

OMG my house is quiet biggrin.gif tilers have gone, plumbers got called out somewhere else and the piano guy has done his stuff .. its so nice sitting here and just listening to the birdies churping biggrin.gif

Ok so ive said it before but and it turned out i was wrong but im wondering if Greta is finally transitioning to 2 sleeps a day from 3 as she has had 2 x 3hr naps today and she usually has that over 3 naps - just woke up from her last nap and she goes to bed at 6.30pm so wont have time to squeeze another nap in there so just 2 today but big 3hr ones.. hope it is cos its much easier to have 2 big naps than 1 big one and 2 smaller ones but we will see.. perhaps its cos she has a cold, she seems to be like her big brother and sleeps longer when she is sick.

Jo: aww sorry your little ones have the snuffles - its the same in our house, but lucky me my kids snooze more when they are sick - get that from me, i always sleep myself better blush.gif
Hope you are all better soon.

Lammum: agree with rach, dont put anything on here then they have no fuel to have a go at you over... i know i did my fair share while my IL's were visiting for those few weeks but i know they are computer -phobes Tounge1.gif good luck with your photo shoot tomorrow - knock em dead tthumbs.gif

Koiles; laughing2.gif you and my DH would get on a treat - id have to go get the test straight away but he'd be like no ill wait till tomorrow laughing2.gif So glad AF arrived, thats a weight off your shoulders, now its a case of getting well again.. take care bbighug.gif
Oh i love my birdhouse its so pretty.. i have taken a photo i just havent put it on FB yet, i will soon.. its a lot smaller than i thought but so pretty.
i ADORE Greta in home made stuff, im not so keen on Miles in it, even when he was a baby, but girls in a pretty dress and a pick cardigan look so pretty wub.gif

Ok missy is bored so best go waves.gif

Hey Girls,

Just a quick one here are some pics of the burp cloths I am sewing up for my market stall. Just the girly one's so far still have lots of boys one's and other girly prints to sew up (60 in total lol)

http://i360.photobucket.com/albums/oo41/ka...ng/P1070012.jpg

Anyways....

What do u think?
How much would you pay for a set of 3?
How much would you pay if buying 1?

They are 25cm x 50cm so perfect size for over the shoulder.

They are made out of microfibre toweling with a cotton fabric embellishment.

Thanks so much and appreciate the feedback...off to do more sewing.

Kat :-)
MnM
Hi kat, just a quick question, I sent you message on FB but you must not have seen it. I just wondered about the tutu's you had on your page and how much you were selling them for?
Cheers
MrsGiggle
Hey Mandy,
Hmm I'll have to check out why I didn't get the message ....sorry

The tutu's will be ready hopefully later this week/early next.

Just depends on how you want it.

Just the tutu on it's own with a few little sequins hidden under the tutu is $15 or you can get a matching long sleeve top with a butterfly applique for $30 :-)

What do u think of the burp cloths?

Kat
Freyja
Kat - They are very sweet original.gif I'd probably pay up to $15 for a pack of 3 or $6 for a single. I am basing my cost on sets of bubba blue wraps etc I but for gifts for babies that cost $20 for 3 pack of large wraps etc.(or are they $30???)

Rach - Enjoy your dinner on Friday night. I have friends coming over for dinner on Friday but it wold be SO much more fun to go out without our 5 kids between us, lol.

Kylie - Oh, good, he's still happy original.gif That's the main thing. Don't worry - my doubts won't change my mind. He's still going. I just have to deal with the emotional side of it. yay - AF came for you - well done! I just remember my pg scare turned into a BFP and them along came Owen wink.gif

Mandy - Your photo idea sounds great original.gif

I'm off to buy the boy a daycare bag and lunch box today as well as a few singlets. He has none that fit properly. I'm also taking my nan out to lunch which will be nice. Hmm, that's if Owen ever goes to sleep. He hasn't done his morning poo so it's thrown the whole morning routine out. I think I hear him grunting in his cot now....
MnM
Hmm playgroup in half an hour, think im going to have to wake Greta sad.gif i hate waking her but there is a music and dance act coming so i dont want Miles to miss it.

Gardener is here and rather noisy so hope that might wake her if i go open her bedroom door dev (6).gif then i wont have to.

Kat: i agree with Kristy re the prices, they are very nice.. i just use the plain old face washers for Greta or a muslin square so it'd be nice to have a pretty face washer to use for her.
It was just the tutu i was after, a plain pink one. Will you send me a message when they are ready and i will get one from you biggrin.gif thanks.

Kristy have a lovley lunch, sounds great.. cant wait to see my Grandma in July, it will have been 4 yrs since i last saw her oomg.gif

Ok best go pack Miles'back for Playgroup and rattle around the house a bit to wake little sleepy head laughing2.gif

yah! I can breathe again! Raffle was drawn today at International midwives day.....so I can claim some of my life back..well for at least a month!

How is everyone? I've missed you all and trying to keep up with facebook comments and updates.

Have to go read back....not even going to try to count how many I have missed.

So who's crawling?

Samara isn't crawling yet she sits up well, does a 360 pivot on her tummy and rolls across the room. She is starting to kick her legs to want to crawl original.gif

What are we eating?

We're doing baby led meaning with Samara as she won't touch a spoon! lol She loves vegemite toast, roast potato, chicken wings and will munch on broccoli (though she isn't convinced it's tasty). Anyone else baby led weaning....what are you feeding your bubs?

Off to read original.gif

Well Greta is down for her nap, should be unpacking but im just over it.. i think ive caught Greta's cold, poor Greta she HATES having her nose wiped and screams the place down when i do it, its all red bless her - she has the cutest little button nose thats all red on the tip now wub.gif

Rach: well im happy to have the next meet up here but not for a couple weeks cos we are still living on a building site although the end is near biggrin.gif

Jayne: ahhh pesky kids wanting food laughing2.gif Miles insists on having lunch too rolleyes.gif Can't wait for your website to be up and running eexcite.gif\

Helen: waves.gif glad your work is going well. No crawling here btu we have sitting and rolling and spining 360 on her tummy. No teeth, still totally gummy and adorable.
Eating all sorts of solids, purees, LOVES avocado is her absolute favourite food by far. yoghurts, broccoli and cauliflower flourettes and loves the crust off her brothers toast that he never ever eats - although she chokes on it pretty much every time she steals it !
Pretty much anything and everything is fair game for her name, she will attempt to gum anything into submission wub.gif

Wish i knew which box the sudafed were in, my poor nose is running like a tap but i dont have the energy to search the 3 million boxes we have still to unpack!
