Hi folks hoping someone can help... I've seen people with new babies who have this sort of portable bed thing - it's sort of like a moses basket when unfolded, i.e. baby sleeps in it and there's handles on either side - but it zips up to make kind of a little bag. The one's I've seen have been black padded sort of backpack material kind of stuff.
I will be travelling with DS and thinking this might be a useful thing to have - but I can't figure out what it's called or who makes it, to google where to find it! Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

I was thinking the Kinderkot as well. From your description it's probably not what you are talking about but could be a very good alternative. I like the fact that it's fully enclosed so protecting bub from the weather and annoying insects, especially if travelling. You can usually find some on Ebay.

I think I know what she means, isn't it just called a baby carrier or infant travel bed? Is it any of these?

we loved the tetra bed for travelling. put it in between us in a king bed, used it under coffee table in airport lounges, etc :-)

That type is generally called a cocoon. They are made to fit in prams and can have D rings to attach them securely.
