Hi Girls
Quiet today (understandably). Big morning here in the house of Belly, mum rang at 7am and woke Ivy so didn't get my usual 7am - 8am quiet time. Playgroup for a couple of hours, then had a mate over to help work on a job application, she's just left so it's a late sleep for Ivy today! 'Date night' tonight, mum's babysitting for an hour while we go out for an early dinner. Have a great Friday!

Yep - got mine too. Haven't had a look yet. May not get there til Monday. Shocker day here. Jasper is sick - snotty and vomiting - lovely. DD has vomited like twice in her life. Jasper seems to do it just for having a cold. Also FIL came round. His idea of a visit is 9AM to 5.30PM, so I didn't get much else done, and Jasper got no sleep.
DP and FIL did take DD out to Questacon, so that was good.
didi someone PM VeronicaB too?

this is great. I might be actually able to keep up with EB now.
seepi - yes

Seepi, hugs. Did Jasper have reflux? Both my reflux bubs are the same, as soon as they get a cold they tend to vomit. So much fun - NOT!
I'm sitting up waiting to check DDs temp has come down before I go to bed.

Hello! I know I am coming in late but I'm wondering if I can join your group?
I Have 3 boys 7, 4 and DS3 is now 19 months old. They definately keep me busy and I am finding this age to be quite a difficult one with Darcy!
Anyway, I thought it would be nice being in a group with children the same age.

Hi myboys! What are your other boys' names?
It is a challenging age, but then I have found all ages quite challenging so far

.
myboys!
19/04/2010, 02:40 PM
My 7 year old is DS1 (he's in year 2 at school) and my 4 year old is DS2 (in preschool).
Yes I agree all ages have been a challenge! But I think at this age they are really trying to assert their independence but you can't quite reason with them yet. DS3 also has quite a temper.

hi myboys.
yep i too think this age can be quite hard! although adorable one minute, a real terror the next. kids hey!

Perhaps he's like his namesake Mr Darcy from Pride & Prejudice and just exerting his strong personality?

It is very hard to reason with them at this age I know. I'm trying to teach Claudia that she can't get what she wants through tantrums, but it's tough sometimes to say no to her.

19/04/2010, 03:14 PM
So maybe his name is more appropriate than we first realised!
Yes your right alimumofnearly3...one minute he can have me almost in tears and the next I'm laughing cause he's done something funny or cute!!!

Terror to cute in 2 seconds - or more often the other way around
Hi Myboys, my 3 are similar ages, I'm going to be so glad when school goes back tomorrow. The older 2 are totally silly today.

Hi
Myboys nice to meet you. I have 2 girls and my second is definately a terror to cute in 2 seconds.
She has also started screaming to get her way and bit DD1 today to get a toy from her
kids!!

Yes DS3 today was playing quietly in the same room as me and I thought 'he's playing nicely by himself there' (normally he's not so fond of me being on the computer) then I turned around and found he had the loaf of bread (half full) and had nicely taken one bite out of each piece!

Claudia's trouble maker moment of the day - she has emptied a half full box of tissues. I'm sure nearly all of them have done or will do that at some point.

DS3 has also started to refuse meals for dinner that he has previously liked and I am fast running out of new meal ideas!
Even the old faithful scrambled eggs gets a thumbs down from him now.
~3boysmummy~ - My eldest boy will be 8 next month. He seems so grown up now!

I've been going through fussiness issues with Claudia too. What she loves one day, she will refuse the next. The worst is that she's gone off fresh fruit, which I never thought would happen.

Hi myboys
We seem to be finally through the fussy eating. Although still won't eat vegies unless they are hidden.
Ali - J likes to do that with wipes as well. Blows her nose on each one. Thankfully I only keep about 10 in the nappy bag.

LOL, that is such a co-incidence. Do you eldest 2 constantly fight. I find those 2 fight but they both love the baby. They are driving me insane.

haha and to think I was worried about how I would catch up after being away
hi myboys

I have a 10yo DS, 7yo dd and K is 19 months also!
K has been a rascal lately too, I don't know if i posted, last week she got into the vegemite, then the peanut butter, then into a tube of dog oatmeal conditioner (thankfully rather gentle as she was eating it!!)
this week she hasn't been too bad, mostly trying to draw on everything. I got her some washable textas but she won't stop putting them in her mouth so back to pencils. I could get crayons but I hate crayons lol
speaking of K, I'd better go set her free (let her up lol)

I don't know what is up with Claudia this morning but she won't stop eating! She had her 2 weetbix for breakfast, and has since eaten a banana, a wafer biscuit, some dates and is now onto a milk arrowroot.

I find my eldest is really tolerant of the younger two. DS2 (in the middle) sometimes get frustrated with DS3 when DS3 tries to destroy whatever he is playing with! DS3 just thinks he is one of the big boys!!
DS3 would eat continuously if I let him!...as would the other two...I'm scared of my shopping bill when they are teenagers...

N goes through stages of being ravenous as well. I hope he isn't too bad when he is older! Keep feeding her blondie, she might be having a growth spurt.

She had an avocado sandwich before her sleep as well! Now she's up again and I'm giving her a treat, a nutella sandwich

. I just had one myself so thought I'd share the joy.

It's not normally something we have in the house but now you mention it... yummmm!!

it has been soo long since I had nutella... YUM!
~Elliesmum~
22/04/2010, 10:17 PM
we had an old jar of the fake nutella (aldi?) floating around and dh was feeding it to K reguarly on her sandwiches at lunch (usually when I duck to the shops etc as he works nights). I haven't bought any more when it ran out and am not going to LOL. Kayla loves it, always ate her sandwiches! I'm not a fan of hazelnut myself so not tempted
coming down with some cold grr, havent' got time for this. probably my immune system is down because I've been so stressed and not sleeping well.
Kayla goes through stages where she eats nonstop too. And she'd chase down anyone with a bag of grapes, she's a grape addict that child.

I tried a new chocolate the other day (well not new but new to me, lol) Baci's and they taste like nutella in a chocolate

I shouldn't complain to much. I heard the two eldest thanking each other for doing something for one and other, then the other saying 'your welcome'. So nice when the get along.
