Oh Triny I am so terribly sorry this is happening to you. Sending you love and strength at this difficult time. we are here for you to vent/cry bbighug.gif I hope you are getting the support you need.

beagle - its great to hear Lucas has bounced back. I'm not help with the washing machine sorry, we don't have a front loader...Ali does???

edited to say Beagle - good luck with the inlaws, I think you'll need it. Where are the treatments up to with DH?

I think I'm going to take myself off to the Dr this morning, I'm really not well.
bellygood
Triny terrible news. How are things going now? What a way to spend Easter Saturday. Lots of hugs and some disbelief that we have such awful goings on in our group right now nno.gif

Had an ok day yesterday, Ivy very clingy (VERY clingy) but still managed to go out to a social thing and bbq afterwards, nice to get out and about. She was so clingy though, could not be alone for one minute so DH and I took turns 'babysitting'. Then at home she seemed feverish and distraught so we slept together and DH got kicked out to the spare bed. I was smart though and went to bed with her early so despite being woken every few hours I still got some zzzz. She seems much brighter today though still clingy. Off to scoff some choc...
alimumof3
Happy easter everyone!

We had an easter egg hunt, so much fun, espec as they get older.

littlemumma you poor thing. good idea to go to dr. its amazing how even thoguh its your eye, the infection could possibly be elsewhere too maybe? like when you have mastitis and its in your boob but you feel absolutely rat sh1t all through your body.
Yep good memory, i have a front loader, but not bosch.

beagle glad Lucas is ok. such a scary time though isnt it. anytime that DD isnt responding to me i panick that it will be another convulsion.

bellygood hope that Ivy is less clingy today. hard work hey.

triny thinking of you all.

Oh, Triny, I'm really sorry. hhugs.gif
just rest up and have a good cry, it's terribly sad sad.gif

We are all here for you to listen if you need.

Hope everyone else is having a better break
Sccary
Oh TRINY. I am so sorry for your loss ddown.gif how far along were you (sorry can't remember exactly)
I do hope you will be ok and take time to grieve and heal big hugs to you

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE
biggrin.gif

ALI: It is so much fun with the egg hunts, DD1 bounced out of bed and ran into the back yard wanting to know what 'Peter COtton Tail' had left her and DH had to quickly run out (whil eI stalled her dragging her back inside) and plant the eggs. The sprinklers come on at 5am so had to wait and then DD was up at 6:30aam rolleyes.gif

BEAGLE: glad Lucas is ok, they do bounce back so quickly..... Bosch sorry have Maytag front loader.

ELLANGEL: "massages" laugh.gif nice try, I know it's 'rabbit season and all' laughing2.gif

BELLYG: I hope Ivy is ok, definately sounds like she is feeling unwell and wants Mummy and Daddy

Ok 3 parents SIL down for easter just one parent to go this afternoon grin.gif

Just popping my head in again to check on our girls Blondie and Triny.

Blondie - hope you are having fun camping and not doing too much. Hope its taking your mind off things and you are feeling ok.

Triny - I hope you are ok...I am worried about you. Please come in and let us know you are still here very soon.
When I had my m/c, nobody including the gp told me just what was ahead of me and I did not know what to expect. What was normal and what wasnt. I wish I had known so I could prepare myself a bit more, emotionally.

Sarina - you can do it! Only 1 more parent to go! Drink wine!! LOL. :

I was putting it nicely wasnt I?? LOL
LOVE LOVE the new sig!

Ali - hope the bugs are all gone now. Nasty gastro.

Littlem - oh you poor thing! Hope DH is not working over Easter! Yes, unfortunately, my Dh has to go back to Melbourne next Sunday. I will be ok....first few days will be tough once again, but have to think of the great money $$$$ opportunity as winter is so quiet for us financially and DH stresses because of this.
Going to book a 1 or 2 week holiday for October, so that will be nice to look forward to! Thinking Coffs Harbour??

Better get back to The Devil Wears Prada

My big baby turns 5 tomorrow!!! Exciting stuff!!

woohooo thats where I live Sharon! lol Speaking of which i'll be up your way again in 2 weeks Tounge1.gif Dads getting married on the 17th, but not sure where we'll be staying yet, might even stay at Ballina, then head up the top of the GC the day of the wedding which is on the border. Happy Birthday to Ella!!!! 5 is exciting original.gif

Triny and Blondie, hope you're doing ok

Beagle yes FB can be a real evil. I hate it on one hand as dh is a total addict cry1.gif but its good to keep up with my friends, and nothing beats seeing your friends piccies that live hundreds of Km away that you never see but wish you could. And chatting to them all the time etc. And the whole FB fan page thing is a phenomenon! Its not a store as such but doesn't need to be as I can upload pics and put prices on it, there are tons of people doing it.

speaking of which, I'm having my SECOND giveaway tomorrow morning, which is awesome, I'm stoked I have so many fans already biggrin.gif was at 198 before so hopefully will hit 200 overnight lol. I need to get dyeing, and adding other lines to my page but might take it slowly lol

whoops my reheated twice/thrice dinner is going cold again, be back tomorrow and catch up properly
ellangel
Ellies - I did not know you lived in Coffs! We have only really ever stopped there for a pit stop. Seems alot to do there for families. Oh good, you can tell me what is good and fun to do when it gets closer!

Oh how exciting...a wedding.

Staying on line to see how you are Triny. xx
trinyweeny
Thanks everyone for your hugs and kind thoughts. I am doing ok. The physical pain is ok with panadol taking care of that. Emotionally well that varies but I guess I expected that. I'm not really sure it has completely sunk in. But Jacqui is being an absolute delight atm so that has been helping. Today we had lunch with all my family which in itself was hard because my sister is 13weeks pregnant. Then we had dinner with the PIL. In all a very busy day without too many moments to myself.

Ellangel - The hospital was very good at explaining things. Bummer on DH returning to Melbourne. Planning a holiday sounds like a great idea to pass the time. LOL on the "massages".

Sarina - I was 7 weeks when I started spotting. Love the new sig it is just gorgeous.

Littlem - I hope you are ok. It sounds very painful.

Anyway I need a shower and my pjs.
ellangel
Glad you are doing ok Triny, considering. Just one day at a time.
Thinking of you and we are all here to listen anytime. x

Night guys!
key4
Triny - Lots of love to you. The emotional pain is much worse than the physical I am glad that Jacqui is being so good for you. I hope you are physically feeling well again soon.

Sharon - Happy Birthday to Ella I hope she has a fantastic day tomorrow.

Sarina - Hope you get a rest tomorrow original.gif Family yuck. My MIL forgot DHs birthday again this year, I usually send her a text message to remind her to ring, but DH found out about that earlier this year when she forgot his sisters Bday and he made comment to her that he always remembered his and she told him that I was sending her messages to remind, so I have been banned as he believes it means nothing if it was not her remembering. DH even called her yesterday for a "chat" to see if she would remember but she didn't.

Beagle- it would be great to catch up for lunch when the current madness dies down. Glad to hear that Lucas has recovered and the rest of the weekend was uneventful - except maybe the inlaws. I did have an unintentional rest from stidy last night I passed out before I made it to the study after a rotten day with two horrid children - thankfully they we well behaved today original.gif

Littlem - Hope that eye gets better soon did you get oral antibiotics as well? If you didn't and there is no improvement by tuesday morning I suggest a trip to your GP. If the pain and swelling are worse not better to the Emergency dept tomorrow!

Elliesmum - Glad to hear that FB is working well. It must be great to start selling some to the things you have worked to hard on.

Dymadon - is paracetamol as well it is orange flavoured though so the kids like the taste of it better, it is also slightly more concentrated than the Panadol 1-5 hence easier to give as you are giving less.

I am in muddle here I am trying to decide whether or not to get rid of all the baby clothes. I would still like another but in the face of all the recent medical involvement in my life I would like to wait at least 6 months before trying for one. So I figure there will be lots of girls clothes hanging around creating clutter in that time from birth to 3 years by the time I need them and I might have a boy - whatca reckon get rid of it? Funny thing is I got rid of all the boys stuff as soon as I was finished with them!

Oh and my goodness oestrogen replacement is terrible I am convinced I have put on 5kg in the last two weeks (none of my clothes fit) and I have been eating nothing different. 2 more weeks to go and I can go back on the pill too, actually looking forward to that as I am scared of an "accident"

Well better get back to this assigment - lab tests this time rivetting next one is anaemia though so that should be easy!
alimumof3
morning,

triny thanks for popping in and keeping us up to date. Glad Jacqui is being a little angel. wub.gif

key hmmm well I wouldn't be getting rid of anything just yet, but then again I didn't get rid of anything of DD's or DS's. I spose if you don't have any boy stuff then whats the point of keeping the girl stuff cos the next one might be a boy. hmmm. coudl you just put it in the roof? thats what we do with baby clothes.

sharon how long will DH be in melbourne for this next time? my DH has to go to melbourne this month for work too. although will only be a couple of nights thank the lord.

ellies wow 200 fans already! wowzers! How do you even know 200 people? lol.

cloth wipes now i ended up making some cloth wipes out of a towel, cut them up and sewed along the edge on sat. I've just wet them all and put them in a Huggies wipes box. Just plain water. is there anything else I should do? am thinking when baby comes i'll use sorbolene for its bum too.

Nothing planned today, need to do housework and i'd like to do some scrapping. DH will take the kids out for a while to the park, think he's going with the guy across the rd and his two boys.
very tired, the cats decided that its time to get up earlier due to being lighter in the morning now with no day light saving. grr. so annoying hearing "meoooooooooooooow meeeeooooooooooooooooooow".

Hi Girls

yyawn.gif Why is my baby all of a sudden an insomiac? For the last few days (actually maybe over last few weeks) she's increased her night time waking. In the last two days she's been taken to bed with me or DH and been v. restless, last night she rolled around with us from 12pm until 4AM!! Four hours!! No sign of sleep whatsoever. She slept from 8pm - 12pm, then was awake in bed with me, rolling from top to bottom for four hours! She is dribbling profusely, all of the front of her tshirts is soaked, please tell me it's teething and it will pass! Any other ideas? We've been indoors a lot due to drizzly weather, perhaps we need to wear her out more as well.

Triny thanks for the update, I think the emotional part would be harder and longer lasting than anything physical. Glad to hear the physical part is getting under control ...

Key I got rid of the baby clothes even though we knew we wanted another. I only regret a few things, things that were given to us as gifts and were still barely used.

Ellangel I could use a 'massage' but you know in PG how these things can be difficult to manage...
tweedy08
bg - Tilly has been the same! She jsut wont sleep, well not properly anyhow! I am evening fighting with her right now to have a day sleep but alas its getting to late so looks like im stuck with her until she goes down later on this evening. She has gone to waking every few hours jsut like a newborn from around midnight too sad.gif
Bel Rowley
Hi everyone, I'm back. Just had a quick skim through and sh*t Triny, I don't believe it sad.gif. Life is really sucking balls at the moment. So unfair. If there's anything I can do or you want to talk let me know.

The weekend away was nice, I'm glad we went. The weather was so gorgeous, perfect for riding around the wineries. I probably shouldn't have done as much bike riding as I did on Saturday but it was fun. Drank and ate lots and lots and DH and I bought enough fortified wine (mostly Muscat and Tokay) to last us for years. It was a great distraction to be away doing stuff too, although of course reality has hit hard now we are home again.
littlemumma
Happy birthday Ella, not sure if today or tomorrow.

I've been in bed all day, have a bad virus...anyway back to bed for me.

hugs to triny. xx
laraq75
Hi girls,

We have just got back from 5 days at my IL's house and had a lovely time.

Blondie and Triny - I am so very sorry for your losses. Life really does suck sometimes.

Robyn - I agree FB is addictive but it is so good that you can promote your business on there.

Sharon - Happy birthday for Ella.

I have only read back a little back but need to catch up on all the news.

I hope some of us had the chance to have a good Easter.

hugs

Lara
ellangel
Hi everyone!

Thanks for the birthday wishes for Ella! Had a lovely day at home with grandparents dropping in. Having a little fairy party next Saturday with some school friends.

Lara - glad you had a lovely time away!

Littlem - oh no! That is terrible you now have a virus. Have you got AB's or what did they give you? Hope you get better now and not worse.

Ali - need tips for when your DH is away? How will you cope? You will be like me and not eat much for dinner. Yes, flights all booked. DH away for 3 weeks again. 3 weeks on, 1 week off. But it is not really 1 week off, as he is still working up here tomorrow till Friday. No rest for the wicked. Trying not to complain as the $$$ is excellent.

Blondie - glad you are ok and going away was a good move. xxx

Tweedy/Belly - no baby waking up in this house. Occasionally she will of a night and I offer water in a bottle and she goes back to sleep. Must be the change in the weather. Too cool or a bit warm. Teeth coming everywhere now...ALL molars and still k9's to go. As I have said to Blondie, would not start the bringing to bed thing.

Belly - think only KM has Tilly in a bed. Or did Meljas take sides off? Cant remember? We were offered 2.5 nephew's toddler bed over Easter but I said no thanks
melaniejasmin
I still havent taken the cot sides off, I will next weekend. we were all sick and I forgot about it!
BG - I also wouldnt bring Ivy to bed... bad habit to start I think

Blondie - good to hear that the camping trip went well. good to get your mind off things.

Lara - 5 days at my ILs would kill me! glad you had a nice holiday!

Ali - I just use washers for Alexander's bum. I wet them in the bathroom before hand (It's the next room) I bought about 20 from Big W - they have them there for about $6 for 10! It's great. they just go in the wash with the nappies. I've thought about making my own, but figure that a washer is about the same.

Key - I have kept all of A's clothes, and will bundle them soon into boxes when new baby comes (not sure if I need to get rid of them yet!) there are also alot of clothes that are very unisex. I'd keep them!

Did a bit of work on my essay today which is good, also got some cleaning done, so sucessful day!

ellangel
Ali - I forgot to say, yes, good idea with the nappies ripped up. Although would they fray do you think? Makes sense if you already washing the cloth nappies. I bought the blue nappy liners and used and wet them for Ella for about 8 weeks. I had them in a pile dry and had a container of water on the shelf next to them. I did not wash them though, chucked em.

With Holli, I really could not be bothered to do this and just used the sensitive huggies wipes from day 1.

Key - funny how you sold all the blue stuff without a thought but now want to keep the pink! Cause pink stuff are cuter! LOL. I have kept the really really good stuff I have. Exy brands etc and good gifts...not for me silly...for either of my sisters! The one in USA is 35 and has DS7 and DDalmost 4. Undecided if she is finished yet. And other sister is 28 and has not started yet!

LOL Blondie I think that sums up everything at the moment. Good that you had a nice time away. Such a shame to have to come home and deal with it all.

Key - I would keep the pricey clothes and outfits you absolutely love and maybe then get rid of the rest.

Ali - Good work on the cloth wipes. I use the Big W baby ones and wet them with a spray bottle as we need to. I tried the washers in the container but found I either forgot or did too many etc. So we find the spray bottle easier.

Littlemumma - Hope you are starting to feel better.

Belly - Could be teeth. shrug.gif You probably don't want to hear this but J is cutting 2 molars and at least 1 canine and is still sleeping through.

Ellangel - HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLA. Sounds like she had a lovely day. Her fairy party sounds good.

Lara - I think 5 days away with the IL's would kill me. Glad you had a nice time.

Had a busy day catching up on some housework. The ironing was taking over the house. DH did the vaccuming for me. Got the groceries done and bought a new rose and pot. Need to get the bathroom done tomorrow. Better go and get this girl in the shower and bed.
~Elliesmum~
Ali I don't know 200 people on FB LOL. But is good, great way to get out there. I'm just looking now for a small storefront thingo like minicuteture or ozhandmade or something. Not sure yet but I'd rather put my stuff up in a shop I think! FB takes up wayyy too much time original.gif and I can't contact people properly unless they are friends which is a bugger.

Blondie- good to hear you had a lovely time away at least. Did you go near wineries?

Triny- love the sound of the rose, which type did you buy?

sharon- sounds like Ella had a good birthday!

cots- we'll still be in one for ages, not ready for my baby to grow up lol. Or escape huh.gif she just wakes up and chats to herself or grabs her toys through the bars and plays with them.

Wipes- am a fan of velour wipes but am sure the soft baby ones are good too, probably like the ones I made out of a surplus baby towel! I like flannelette on one side though. I've just bought a heap of bamboo velour and am going to make some tiedyed ones and overlock some with flannel, some just doublesided velour. But really they don't need to be that lush wink.gif I keep a water bottle next to the wipes and just wet them as needed, usually squirt enough for a few in at once.
bellygood
Yeah I believe you Triny, Ivy had that a few weeks ago, teeth popping up everywhere and not a whimper. This time something is different, when we brushed her teeth her mouth bled a bit, can't see from where, but there's something nasty going on. No fever or anything. Tonight's tactic will include baby panadol as I think whatever it is bothers her most through the night. She was quite ok today, a bit clingy but a normal day sleep. I am terrified of losing my 8pm - 8am sleep pattern (should I say, HER pattern) because it is just a great thing for all of us.

Blondie glad you had a good weekend away, sounds beautiful there. You guys really get out and about a lot, you make me feel like an old fogey sitting at home! Actually we do alot but not really nights away, just day trips.

Meljas yeah I think the co-sleeping is a bit of a slippery slope, not keen to go there ... Ivy is looking haggard too so cosleeping is probably not her bag either...

Had a coffee today, 10% public holiday surcharge, so UnOrstralian I find! Either stay shut or trade normally, none of htis gouging 10% when the staff probably don't even get that loading anymore. I mean, pubs don't charge more on a Sunday, do they?

DH has the Wii set up... promised him a game of something or other if he cooked dinner (lamb chops and veg, I love 'em, he hates 'em! They don't eat much lamb in Holland and especially not huge fatty bony forequarter chops...).
seepi
Count me in with the non-sleepers - what is going on. Mr Jasper has had a shocker for the past 3 nights. Last night I was up from 1-2, then DP was up from 3-4. We are so tired and cranky. But things can only get better! I still have a cold too, which I am really sick of. Not a nice way to enjoy the Easter break.

Still, we had a nice day out today at the Folk Festival. I was planning to sit near the dance stage, as DD loves dance, but we never really found it. We saw plenty of morris dancers and a learn to dance session though. the kids did some craft and had icecreams and pancakes, and there were some good street performers. We saw bits of a few shows, but the kids are a bit young to sit through 30 minute sessions. But it was a gorgeous day, and a nice way to spend a few hourss. I think we'll go next year if we are around.

Mmm Bellygood - I love lamb chops too. But they are so expensive now I hardly ever buy them. I am old enough to remember when lamb was dirt cheap and chicken was expensive....it seems the wrong way around now. We had bolognaise for dinner - yum! It was great, but the jar of red sauce I used was a bit wierd (leggos). I added onion, and cut it up into tiny pieces, but there were these huge chunks all through it - must have been from the jar.

Ellangel - happy birthday to Miss Ella!!! The fairy party sounds like it will be great fun. Will you have fairy games, or just costume, and a fairy cake?

Elliesmum - good on you with the tie dying. I just talk about this stuff and never do it, but you have done so much! Have you thought about Etsy for a shop? I bought a beautiful handmade patchwork skirt for DD from there for Christmas.

Ali - I used facewashers as cloth wipes too. don't store too many wet in a tub - they really start to smell by the end of the day.

Key - I hope you feel better soon. You have had such a bad run. I'm with everyone else - keep the nicer clothes and move the rest on. there is no sense wasting space storing plain singlets and worn pants etc. (I need to take my own advice here....).

blondi and Triny - I am thinking of you guys sad.gif It just seems so unfair.

bellygood
Seepi what happened to cheap lamb? It was such an economical cut of meat once eg buy a whole lamb for $50 or whatever, now it's so pricey? Re red sauce we like Dolmio Chunky Garden Vegetable, though it's a little sweet. I love how these companies (Masterfoods/Mars) give tomato sauces these Italian names... so authentic! So exotic! Like there's a little Italian nonna standing over her old-fashioned stove making the sauce for us from her own garden veges...

Oh yeah, and the sleepless nights are crap, aren't they!
ellangel
Morning! Strange not having middle of the night posts from you Beagle and Key and a morning one from either Blondie or Cassi! LOL. Hope all those non sleeping babies slept well.

Just won 3 summer pj's from cotton on for DD1 next summer. $6 for all 3...not bad

Off to start buying for this party today and look for some winter boots or something for DD1.

My younger sister used to dress up in the fairy dress and do kids parties, so she is helping me.

We are decorating and icing ROSE cupcakes, musical statues, lolly hunt, pass the parcel etc. Only 5 of her school friends so should be nice. My parents are coming to supervise Holli! xx

Have a great day guys. x chat later
Bel Rowley
Morning everyone. Sorry I neglected to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLA for yesterday, glad she had a lovely day and hopefully another one today with the party.

Sleeping - we had a mixed bag while we were away. The first night it took ages for Claudia to get to sleep, not surprising with all the noise at the campsite and the strange environment. She woke several times and spent most of the night in bed with DH and me. 2nd night much better, she was so exhausted from the big day out and about she went straight to sleep. Unfortunately DH woke her up when he came to bed and she then came to us for the rest of the night. 3rd night - perfect. Straight to sleep and slept through until 6. She was great again last night at home, but hasn't figured out the 'new' 7 o'clock yet and was again up just before 6.

Hmm what else... we are off to the zoo today with my parents and sister, should be fun, hopefully we'll see the baby elephant. Then I need to get stuck into the work again, I have a week extension for both assignments but still lots to do.

Oh somebody asked if we went to wineries - did we ever! We rode our bikes around, not really recommended 2 days after surgery but I coped ph34r.gif . We went to 3 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday, as well as some yummy food places, cheesemakers, olive oil makers etc. The Rutherglen area is known for its fortified wines so that's what DH and I spent most of our money on. I absolutely love Muscat and Tokay, so it was nice being able to drink and enjoy.
bellygood
Blondie what time does Claudia go to bed? IVY SLEPT last night wonder of wonders, gee we needed it... her too, she was looking pretty haggard too. I made sure we got out and about yesterday to wear her out a bit, and had a careful pre-bed thing of quiet time etc. All must have helped. Stop talking about this divine weekend away with cheeses and wines, it just sounds so great (except for the camping bit...)! Yum! And the zoo sounds great too, I wish we had a petting zoo nearby (with lambs and calves etc) as I think that would be great for the littlies. Can't wait to hear whther you see the little elephant!

Ellangel party party party! Sounds lovely! Perhaps a pic or two later?

Ivy's at daycare today but I have no TAFE (Easter break) so I'm free as a bird! For six hours at least. I have one or two things to do but basically three or four hours to bludge around... so coffee shop, library, shops here I come! Of course now I belatedly think I should have had 'something' planned in but hey free time is free time ladies! I'll fill it up!
Bel Rowley
How nice for you to have a day to yourself Bellygood! Claudia generally goes to bed between 7:30 and 8 depending on how tired she is, how much she's slept during the day. Things are a bit up in the air now daylight savings has ended, I would've started putting her down at 7 but because we were out having a pub meal on Sunday night so she didn't get to bed until late. Last night was 7:20. If I could get her sleeping 7 to 7 that would be brilliant but we'll see how we go.
trinyweeny
Blondie - Enjoy the zoo. I am hoping to go to Taronga in the next few weeks to check out the baby elephants.

Belly - YAY for a goodnight's sleep. I am sure you will have no issues filling in your free time.

Ellangel - Good buy on the pj's. You are such the bargain shopper.

DH has gone to Sydney for work today and possibly overnight. MIL should be around this morning and really I just can't be bothered with her today.

Sounds like Jacqui is finally awake. Better go and get her up so we can have some breakfast. I'm starving. Did consider some Easter eggs as an entree for breakfast.
