Will pop in tomorrow to do a post

I'm still here. Just having a shi&^y week. To top off my mum and DH's mum both p*ss*Ng us off, Isobel has gone back to sleeping VERY badly which means I am soooo tired and grumpy and have been shirty with DH all week. Tonight I am once again doing CC, took me an hour from 7.30-8.30 to get her to sleep and so far since 8.30 she has woken twice and carried on for a good ten minutes each time. It's so heartbreaking to go through but I know I need to try one more time to get her to sleep all night in her room because if I don't, when this baby comes I am going to be beside myself with sleep deprivation.

Am thinking perhaps I need to book into the sleep school again. But then I think, no I just need DH to step up a bit at night ( he use to be great ) and I need my mum and his mum to give us a hand every now and then!

Also got some bad news from my younger sister today. She had a pap smear come back with abnormal cells so had a biopsy today. She said she won't get the results for a few weeks but the doctor who did it told her it looked a bit worse than they first thought ( but not dire) and that her and her partner ( who are getting married in Nov) should think about kids soon so they can take steps in need be. She sounded pretty calm when telling me, but if that were me I would be panicking.

Anyway....
Shell- that's great about Joshua. Fantastic if he gets in!

Helen: I'm so envious of what a great sleeper Yas sounds like! How are you feeling? I am so over it at this point and dreading going two weeks over again. I am getting a few contractions that make me stop every now and then, but only one or two then they stop. This also happened with Issy for what seemed like weeks. I hear you on the mothers only thinking of themselves. I still haven't spoken to mine. Not because I don't love her, but because I am just fed up. We have struggled with Isobel's sleeping for almost two years now and not once has my mum or MIL come over for an hour or so and given DH and I a break. I know we manage but boy, it would be nice to have a mum and MIL that are capable and interested in their grandchildren. DH's mum came over the other day for her fortnightly 15 min visit and Isobel wouldn't go near her. Usually I make up excuses, like she has been clingy or grumpy etc but this time I didn't. I told DH afterwards, Issy doesn't know her- plain and simple. I am not going to sugar coat it any longer because she doesn't get actively involved with her.
We need to find a great babysitter in the area, even if its just so DH and I can go out for dinner once a month.

Hayles: Hope Harrison is okay. How's the new job? I read your FB status today- sounds like you are having a day like I am! We have both a girl and a boys name picked out ( you never can tell- plus they can be wrong!). Today DH added one more girls name - Ally ( not sure about) and Harry.

J: How are the renos going?

Simone: Love your photos on FB- what computer program do you use?

Anyway best try to get some sleep. DH has gone out to the spare room because of his snoring. He needs to see a doctor about it I think.

mumtomakandissy
Note the time Ladies- I am STILL up ( had about two hours sleep) trying to get Isobel back to sleep. Am one very cranky wife ATM. DH's just given up on even helping to try and get Issy to sleep because she carries on for him. Grrr.....

Shell thats fantastic news ddance.gif cclap.gif

Bec - ffear.gif OMG I'd be scared about this new bub coming too but as I said I'm hoping you get a good sleeper as its bliss when they sleep. I'm wondering if Yas is coming down with something - she didn't wake until 8.15am this morning has been on and off grumpy this morning (like tired grumpy) and back to bed at 12.30 - not a peep. I don't know why I've been blessed with a good sleeper - my sisters son was a good sleeper too. I'm a very good sleeper and like you Bec love my sleep so I'm going to go stir crazy if this bub isn't a good sleeper!
I'm fine Bec - thanks for asking. Just over 18wks now and at that nervouse stage waiting to feel regular movements. I have felt her a couple of nights ago but not since and I really think its more because I have my hands full this time with Yas where as with Yasmin's pregnancy my whole world was that pregnancy - I had no other children to distract me. Today just started getting indigestion - YUK. I had it bad with Yas from about 14wks but have it on and off with this one so thats better as I was actually medicated with Yas it was that bad.
There are so many mums like ours - I so feel your pain. Its so upsetting to even think about why they are like that and TBH even if my mum was in Yasmin's life she wouldn't really be in it much either - or she would be telling her off constanstly saying you shouldn't do this and you shouldn't do that which is not a grandmothers job - their job should be to enjoy the kids and let the parents to the hard slog with dicipline.
I hope you got some sleep today - you must be going stir crazy.

Hayles - I thinking like you about work. DH and I have decided I'm going to take 6mths with this bub and then as I'm doing this property management course I'm going to look for a job after Christmas/New Year and if I have to take on a full time job well so be it. I need the stimulation and we need the money and then when Yas goes to school in a couple of years I will have a lot more experience in the industry under my belt and will then perhaps be able to work school hours.

We found a music class around the corner for toddlers - its fantastic. Just put $4 into the pot and she sends it off to charity in a poor country each year. Yasmin loves music.

Also Yas did a poo on the toilet at daycare yesterday cclap.gif - they said just a little one and they don't know if it was by accident but every time I've put her on the toilet here she pushes like she is trying to do a poo - she must be copying us when she has seen us going !!!

Take care everyone
Hel x
mumtomakandissy
Helen- Well I did it, Issy slept ( well not slept) but stayed in her cot all night, I was going a bit nutty by about 5.30 this morning but luckily DH got up when the tears ( from me!) started! Today she went straight to sleep in her cot for an hour and a half so I just need to persist.

She is turning into one very stubborn child. So I will have my hands full.

Had Mak's cross country today. She is such a brilliant runner- doesn't even look like she is trying! Came first out of the 7 and 8 year olds from her school and 4th overall out of the 7 and 8 year olds from about 10 different schools around the region. I am so proud of her!

Anyway time to put my feet up for a while before the school run!

Hi Girls wink.gif

Sorry it's been a while....again.....both of my kids have had a horrible bug, and have spent the last 5 days vomiting and having diorrhea sad.gif They are just starting to come good now.

Bec
- Congratulations to Mak for her place in cross country cclap.gif You must be so proud. How old is Mak now? Sorry to hear that Issy isn't sleeping well again. FWIW, Amelia started sleeping terribly (again) not long before Harrison was born. I was certain that she knew things were changing, and it was her "little thing" to have some Mummy and Daddy time. You should probably give your DH a kick up the bum though, for not helping a bit more overnight - you are far too pregnant to be dealing with it on your own. I hope that she gets better for you quickly hands.gif Also, love the added boy name wub.gif

Helen - YAY! to Yas doing a poo in the toilet biggrin.gif How are you feeling? When is your next scan? The little music class sounds fantastic. Not sure if they have this everywhere, but we have a thing down here called 'Hey-De-Ho' and they sing heaps of songs - Millie LOVES it wub.gif

Shell - eexcite.gif Congratulations for Josh's interview. How is Sus going?

Us
- We took Harrison to the paed this morning, and it was great. He won't officially diagnose him as asthmatic, just yet, but is 90% certain that he is going to be an asthmatic. He said that Harry has this thing called.....wait for it......Fat Happy Wheezer - laughing2.gif True story - they actually use this as a medical term laughing2.gif Basically it means, that he is well nourished and the wheeze isn't actually ditressing him. So we have him on a course of Prendisilone and he is now on Ventolin. I feel so much more at ease now, and I trust my paed 150% (he was my paed, and I saw him from 2yrs old until I was 22yrs old). We are taking him back at 12mths and if the wheeze is no better, he will officially diagnose him and give him a preventer. Amelia is going well (apart from the sick thing). She is talking even more now, it is unreal listening to her tell you things wub.gif She is still going really well on the toilet too, getting a little more consistent with asking and going. Work is going pretty well - am really enjoying the extra money. I went and put Amelia's birthday present on lay-by today. We are giving her a gorgeous wooden art easel - it's blackboard on one side, and whiteboard on the other. It also has a big paper roll at the top of the easel, so she can pull it down and draw. We have also decided to change the dates of our QLD holiday, from June to September. Once I have the dates set - QLD girls - I will let you know, so that we can meet up - YAY biggrin.gif We were originally going for just 3 days, but have decided to go for a week now, and have a bit more of a relax.

Anyway, better get a move on.

waves.gif Love to you all
mumtomakandissy
Oh Lord- you will never believe it ladies. My mother just rang with a heartfelt apology- she went on AND ON about this and that and how yes, it's important to keep Issy in her routine, she is going to get seats fitted in her car to help more often with the girls, she does agree with us that she will be more useful to come to OUR HOUSE as I am getting home from hospital, clean up for me and then stay a few days to help.

I nearly fainted. DH looked gob smacked too. She even offered to come over this weekend to " give me a rest before the baby comes" and do some chores for me- WTH???? I think I have my little sister ( who is actually 26- not hat little BYKWIM) to thank as her and I had a really good chat earlier today and I think she may have been in mum's ear.

So, I got off the phone and looked at DH and thought wow, what and how do you react to that? DH said there is no point feuding IF she IS sorry, and only time will tell but I feel somewhat empowered now that she obviously is aware that I won;t tolerate being treated that way. It's sort of like when you stand up to a bully and they are then aware that you mean business.

On a sad note though, my little sis is very worried about the biopsy she had done the other day and has to wait a few weeks for the full results. Poor thing- to top it off she had a chest x-ray today as has had recurrent pneumonia!

I am thinking of something nice to do for her.

Hello!!! waves.gif

Just popped in to have a quick catch up and read your news Helen. I'm sooooooooo thrilled for you! Congratulations. What lovely lovely news to read. original.giforiginal.giforiginal.gif Wishing you all the very best.

I hope everyone else is well.

No big news here - busy busy busy with my two - and still exhausted thanks to the bump on the way (now 13 weeks). Had a great NT scan last week which was lovely. Stella's doing really well. A little bit of toilet training, a LOT of talking and singing (she never shuts up), and still barely any hair!!!! A complete cutie though.

Hi all,

Bec: I was so happy to read your post. Well done honey! You must feel relieved that your stuck to your guns and now you can have a relationship on your terms!!!! Hopefully its smooth sailing from now on. I had CIN2 cells removed from my cervix 7 years ago after a dodgy papsmear and biopsy. Since the surgery I have had a clear papsmears ever since and Gyno said I would be able to concieve no propblem. My friend also had CIN3 cells discovered during her preg and they went away on their own. She is now clear too. Just thought you may want some good news stories so its not so scary for your sis.

Flick: How cute is Stella with no hair! Eli has had 3 haircuts LOL. Congrats on a great NT scan too.

Hayls: THats good news you got a diagnosis for little Harrison. Fat happy weaser is the cutest diagnosis I have ever heard laugh.gif

Shell: Well done to Josh getting his prep interview how cute tongue.gif

Helen: All your plans sound very positive and music class sounds adorable! Well done with yas TT too.

US: We are good grin.gif . Renos are getting there extermemly slowly (it has not bloody stopped raining) GRRRRR rant.gif I am supposed to be painting today but after the weekly housework, shopping and the washing I am doing I am far too tired!!!!

Hi to everyone else!

P.S I have a secret.

J - You cheeky sod!!!!!!! give it to us, you know you want too!!!!! eexcite.gif

Shell - thats wonderful news about Josh, not so good about your dad sad.gif , maybe just give him some time to recover he could just be scared you know....

Helen - Property management sounds great! Well done for Yas, Casey sits on the potty everyday, no wee, but will still then stand up pull his shirt up and try and wee from his belly button, its quite hilarious!!! I feel so much better right now, DH and I are getting along well, the money is definitley helping, I'm now saving up to $200 week I have not been able to do that in 2yrs.

Hayls - What a funny name for it, but at least you know what is going on with him and you can move forward. Hows work going??

US - Well I spent the day with my dad going over 2 assessments on business tax, so my aim tonight is to type them up and submit them so I can then organise my exam. The boys have been great, Casey is just amazing, he can now climb up & down onto the bar stools that we have at our kitchen bench, this morning he climbed out of the bath and today I found him climbing out of the port-a-cot at mums, then this evening he pushed his little chair to the backdoor opened it up and went outside, he has it all figured out! He is doing so well in his bed he falls out about once a week, he just has a little cry and climbs back in.

Oh I went to this conference last night on 'How to raise boys' not sure if any of you have heard of the 123 techniques, well I tell you I'm not looking forward to when the boys are 12-15yrs, I think I might leave! hahahahaha.

Ok I'm off need to get stuck into it before Sea Patrol.

Congratulations J ddance.gif cclap.gif tthumbs.gif - well done. Don't worry about morning sickness, mine didn't kick in with Yas until week 8 and with this one I've barely had any at all. Girlfriend of mine was sick as a dog last pregnancy and unfortunately suffered a mc and is 2 wks behind me pregnant now and has really had no m/s to write home about - so don't wish it upon yourself

Oh congratulations ppinkstork.gif llove.gif

J - That is wonderful news, congratulations!

So where is everyone?

I took the boys to the Hawksbury show today its the 2nd biggest show to the easter show but way cheaper, $40 to get in, free parking, showbags are $10 and I bought 6 rides for $20 so that was 3 each for the boys they had a ball. Lots of livestock, reptiles, wood chopping, car and motorbike shows and only 15min from home.

DH has gone down the coast this weekend to Minyana fishing so its just the boys and I so we are heading into Sydney tomorrow with my BF to watch the March, I have never been in to see it so it will be a first for me, I am looking forward to it, plus the boys will love the train ride in, Casey has never been on a train before.

Well I'm off, I'm exhausted Casey has been waking at 6.15 every morning for the past month and its killing me so maybe I should try and get an early night for a change.

Have a great Anzac Day weekend girls!

Congrats J biggrin.gif

Hi to everyone else. Lurking for the moment as i feel like crap and too much study to do!
mumtomakandissy
Hi Ladies

Quiet in here! Just a quick post. Thanks Simone and Hayles for your numbers- shall be sure to text when bub is born. Shouldn't be too long I think as I have had the " burst" of energy today and cleaned like there is no tomorrow.

Just finished dinner, about to remake the girls beds ( washed absolutely EVERYTHING in the house- although I usually wash all the bed linen every week anyway) and then sit down with a nice cup of tea and some chocolate!

BB tomorrow for a longer post.

J: My symptoms with this bub didn't kick in til 6 1/4 weeks but then were quite shocking so give it another week or so- or maybe you are having a girl and the symptoms will be completely different to when you were pregnant with Eli!

Edited as I forgot to add: since doing 2 nights of Control crying, Issy has slept 10-11 hours straight the past 4 nights plus extended her day sleep to at least 2 hours. I am stoked.

J~ congratulations i very happy for you and your family fingerx for a healthy pregnancy.

Bec~ not long now can't wait to hear the new of sex.

Well off to my first day of rep work for a vet clinic 10-2 very excited biggrin.gif hoping it works out and can do with the extra money.

Awww thanks everyone wub.gif

I have gone from a Toddler who barely said a word to a toddler who now does not stop talking....
I am not too happy with Eli's sudden use of language these are his favourite things to say rant.gif ,

"No"
"Mine"
"My do it"
"Mummy up" (pick him up)
"Mummy open door" (to get outside grrr)
"No Mummy pack up" (and points to his toys)

These are the cute things wub.gif

"Lub you Mummy"
"You right Mummy" (hilarious says it anytime I drop something or hurt myself)
"Daddy has a noisy mower"
"Seany big truck, Seany bang bang" (seany is the guy renovating our house one of DH's mates LOL)
"Naughty doggie"
mumtomakandissy
Quick one- can't sleep.

J: Exactly what Isobel says! Drives me insane, all day long " me do". I am not allowed to dress her or help her in or out of the car or her seat at the table anymore. I have to wait to be given the go ahead to help by words such as " no, me can't do, you do".

Issy is sleeping beautifully again. Tonight at 7.30 ( she has been going to bed at 8) she actually asked to go to bed! Unbelievable! This is the same kid who would cry and carry on just a few short weeks ago!

Anyway time for me to go to bed.

Hi everyone!

Grrr renovating has ruined my Thursday routine Usually get up clean the house, play with eli, lunch and REST!!!!

Well today no house cleaning and the electrician is still here so no REST and I am sooooooo tired!!!!
MrsHayley
Hi Girls waves.gif

J - How's your little bump going? I don't think I could handle going through renovations - I am fairly certain that I would lose my mind laughing2.gif Eli is such a cheeky wub.gif Amelia went through a stage where she would really only say those sorts of things. Thankfully now though, she is moving on from those "No" things

Bec - Am so so glad that Issy is sleeping well for you again. Just in time for the arrival of her baby brother laughing2.gif wink.gif

Urs - The Hawksbury show sounds like it was fun biggrin.gif How are things going between you and DH? What days are you working?

Us - Busy......still trying to work out the balance between working and mothering yyawn.gif Kids are going great, although, poor Harrison is getting so frustrated because he can't go after Amelia sad.gif You can see that he knows there's another way to move, but he just can't get it. His legs aren't strong enough to hold him up in the crawling position - so it's going to take him that little bit longer. It's mine and DH's 5 year wedding anniversary tomorrow oomg2.gif We made it!!! YAY!!! We are going to stay at the Sheraton in Geelong on Saturday night - with the kids - but we are so excited. We are going to have dinner by the water, and take the kids for walk along the esplanade while the water is all lit up - it's going to be fantastic wub.gif

Anyway....am off to have a shower before settling in for the night....

Will come back in soon waves.gif

Apparently Eli now owns me. He grabs on to me saying "mine mine" Did it all through swimming today. Would not go with the instructor. Would not sit with his dad last night just kept grabbing my arm saying "mine mine". I wonder if he can sense another little one is on the way already??
TrickyRicky
Hey Girls,

Hayls - Things are actually pretty good with DH, I think the extra money is helping, but he is also really understanding what we can and can not afford. I'm working Mon-Wed 8.30-1.30. I have just picked up some more units so i'm using the time after work before I pick the boys up to get most of it done and also the house work.

Nothing much really happening around here, just thought I would pop in and say hi!!!

Luv Urs xx
mumtomakandissy
Hi Girls

J- They say the little ones can pick up on hormone changes? So perhaps Eli has. Issy has been doing the same thing.

Urs- Glad your job is going well. I would use the rest of the day too. Then you feel on top of things.

Hayles- Issy is sleeping beautifully! We are not sure why but the last week and half or so has been heaven. 2 -2 and a half hour sleep during the day and then 10-11 hours straight over night. I feel so much more relaxed ( until this bub arrives!) and DH says he has noticed how I am not as tired etc etc. The best bit is when Issy wakes in the morning- she is so proud of " slept in my cot ALLLLLL night" with her gorgeous grin! It's great. Apart from the couple of nights of control crying the only different thing I did was let her choose a new teddy whilst shopping one day. She picked out a sheep and calls him " baa baa" and he goes to bed with her. Along with about a hundred others, but you go in to check her and he's the only one getting a cuddle!

Ok bed time. Shall be back over the weekend for a longer post if I don't go into labour! ( I wish!)
