hiya!!!
im just after some advice.
my daughter is 3 on the 21st march. im looking into present idea for family and friends and this is what i was thinking. she doesnt watch much tv and when she does its 5 mins in between playing. i guss she just isnt that into it. but id like something for her to do in the car on loing drives which we do often as family live in the country. she can do the usual drawing and reading etc but if im by myself its very dangerous to pass things over all the time.
anyway i had looked at the little leap frog things in the shop the other day and i wondered what age they can actually work out how to use them properly. they say 4+ years but dd is fairly cluey so im not sure. she was sitting with a friends dd the other day and he had a DSi and she was having a muck around with it (though i doubt she was doing it properly lol)
right long winded way of saying it. what do u think? are their age recommendations right?

I am looking at DS games at the moment. I have a DS but want to get my son a game for his 4th birthday, but am having trouble finding much info on it. Have seen the leapfrog ones, but we already have the computer that plugs into the tv and don't really want to get something too similar. My son has been playing around on older friends ones, and seems to really enjoy it although they have to help him with the reading bits, so I am hoping to find some that don't need reading.
Hopefully someone will have some info.

I bought my DD a Ds for Chrissy for the same reason. She figured out the Dora game straight away as there is no reading. She was also given Disney Princess no reading either just verbal commands. There is a few different levels on this she has missed as you have to collect crystals along the way but she loves it just the same. I found Nintendogs had a few to many written instructions.
Something else we're considering for DD who's 3 is an iPod Touch. You can download great games for almost nix, and only costs about $250 I think. She uses my iPhone with the same games.
