j-o-d-i-e

Where is everyone?

Hope they fix Kaiden's roof soon Jodie. How's Dane going? Is he any longer between feeds?

Lately Ben has been sleeping better than toby
This is what is now happening in this household. Aston will sleep through, but Cohen has been sleeping in the big bed. Once he is asleep I move him to his bed. When we just put him into his bed at around 7, he just cracks it and sreams cry1.gif and it's really hard to settle. But if we let him stay up until he is super tired he will just crash on our bed. I good sleeper you used to go to bed at 5, not anymore cry1.gif hopefully it's just a phase.
I will change his bed to a single bed in a few more months, maybe that will help laughing2.gif
He has his 2 years molars cutting the skin at the moment though.

Hope Toby starts to sleep better for you too Donna

Mel -How was your wkend away?

Off to make the boys some lunch
chaosprincess
Weekend was good, had a games night. We played Trivial pursuit, Scene It and Partini. Was fun original.gif

The girls turn 5 on saturday!!
j-o-d-i-e
Sandra, we had them here last week and they pulled out the ceiling and replaced it with the gyprock and on tuesday they are coming to plaster it all up and put on the corner thingos lol and then on saturday they are coming to replace the ceiling fan..
it so stupid but because we live in a duplex its under strata and paint is not included in the insurnace so we have to paint the ceiling ourselves, so going to repaint kaidens room, we are going to do danes aswell now its just picking what colour lol then we slowing do teh rest of the house.
Bugger about Cohens sleep, sucks when they get out of there normal routine.

Dane is still feeding every 2hrs during the day but he actually went 4 hrs today for the first time huh.gif he was asleep for 3hrs so that was huge for him during the day...i hope he sleep well tonight!!

Mel sounds like you had a good weekend, WOW the girls are 5...gee wizz where does the time go??

I have my phil & ted on ebay at the moment, we have hardly used it but i REALLY want a strider plus lol so i can only get it if i sell the p&t, its so stressful having an item on ebay lmao (first time i have ever sold anything on there) i have 5 ppl watching it and no bids yet and still 2 days so i hope someone bids on it..I WANT that strider lol
poss71
yyawn.gif Hi all

Sorry, I have just been popping in at odd times and checking out what you guys are up to biggrin.gif without sharing my dull life.

Jodie, that insurance situation sucks. At least you are making the best of it and repainting the whole place over time. Yay at the big sleep!

Sandra, how did you know Cohen was getting his 2yo molars? Eleanor won't let me look in her mouth. She asked for Panadol two nights ago ("my want medicine, Mummy" - so cute my little druggie girl!) when I was giving some to Meg who is teething. I said no, you don't need it. Lo and behold, I tipped her upside down tonight for a play (it makes her laugh wildly) and I can see one enormous 2yo molar poking through the gum. I bet that was why she wanted Panadol. sad.gif Bad mummy. Oops! She got some tonight, as I saw another bump in there, on the other side.

Donna, roll2.gif at Len getting up at 1am to start the day. I have the opposite thing here...DH tries to resettle Eleanor at 7am so he can get another 1/2 hour of sleep oomg2.gif For heaven's sake, it's morning already, you silly tired hubby man! biggrin.gif Gotta love 'em.

Mel, is it in your contract to have 3-monthly inspections? That's well over the odds here in Melbourne, yearly or 6 monthly is usual. Although, I can see it might come in handy to 'encourage' a tidy up - and let me tell you, I need encouraging!

We are in the process of buying a new vacuum cleaner. Who would have thought it could be so damn boring?! Not only is it a vacuum, but DH is 'researching', which means endless hours of online comparisons that he reads to me while I'm trying to do other important stuff (like watch TV). Anyone got a recommendation? laughing2.gif I can match that against his forum.

OK, have been promising DH for ages that I will try to get to bed earlier. I'd better make the effort!

Night all. Take care.

Jo Cohen was just cranky and one day I was playing with him and looked in his mouth and I saw his molars were coming through. Ouch. No wonder he was cranky.

QUOTE

laughing2.gif Cohen loves Nurofen laughing2.gif I give him his dose then he wants more. Um,no son laughing2.gif
Hope Eleanor's molars come through quickly for her too, poor chicken.

laughing2.gif at the process of buyinh the vacuum. We have a miele and it's great. I would love a dyson, but I could not spend $700 on a vacuum. I'm not that enthusiastic vacuuming laughing2.gif but Cohen is. He loves it. In fact it's a battle to take it off him.

Bugger about painting Kaiden's roof. I think the roof is the hardest part.

Well it's a bit of a sad today. Bo sent me a FB message in regards to our divorce. He wants to meet or send me the paperwork. But i will take it to a solictor for them to go through it. I have no idea what happens really. I think he may want to marry his new GF sad.gif
Least it's closure for me now I guess, just sad that all the momeries I had with him. I can't stop crying really, but it's feels good to get it out.

Not long now till the girls turn 5 Mel
Abbygirl
Just breezing through, I've hurt my back and am recovering from a touch of mastitis
GRRRRRRR why can't I have a break from ailments!

I've been super busy cleaning and gardening as we had a house inspection yesterday and like you Mel ours were every 3 months until this last one which Christmas got in the way of. We've been here 4 years glare.gif

Gracie said "I yuv you" to her Daddy tonight after he finished reading her Good Night Me wub.gif it's the first time she's ever said it, and I'm so happy that she said it to him. He's really getting down about having to go to work and leave her 5 days a week. He's usually gone for 11 hours (inc commute) so yeah, I'm glad he has this as a first wub.gif

Sandra I didn't know you were getting divorced. I hope you are ok.
bbighug.gif If you ever feel like talking we are all here for you and remember the privite site if you feel like EB is too public.

Jo get a Dyson. They may be expensive but they are the shiz! My BIL has one and I always drool when I see it, it's a brilliant Vac, much better than our piece of crap LG.
Or sign up to choice.com and they will tell you the best Vac to get.

Good luck with the pram Jodie, any takers yet?

Oright, I'm too tired to think straight, I'm offski

hugs to those who are having it rough with lack of sleep, colds, craaaazy kids, or just down in the dumps.
...and sorry if I didn't reply to you. Just to tired to read back anymore and formulate coherent sentences..

ETA; Wow just re-read and had to fix spelling mistakes blush.gif Soooo tired. I'm really goin to bed now!

Donna~
Sandra- I had no idea! I must be living in a hole... hhugs.gif

We have a Wertheim vacuum. I love it original.gif. We went in intending to buy a dyson, but got talked into this one... then on our way home we got a call to go visit a relative of sorts as they heard we were looking for a new vacuum and had bought us a swish new dyson! lol. Oh well, This one works great original.gif

marika- Toby is saying 'I uv you' now too wub.gif
chaosprincess
Wil is sick today so I've kept him home from daycare. He woke at 4am wacko.gif but he has the runs and his little bum was so red sad.gif He clung to me like a little monkey. He was a bit sooky yesterday so I thought something was up. Probably just a 24 hour bug, or even molars coming through, he always seems to get the runs when his teeth are moving or coming through.

I'm having a garage sale on sunday, have to make some signs up today and put them up. Also have to sort out the toy room and the kids clothes so I know what I want to sell.

Lady Gaga is tomorrow night ddance.gif
joka
Hi Ladies (as I crawl out from under the rock I have been hiding lol)

Wow with all these molars, I didn't realize that Harry was a freak, he cut his 2yo ones a week before Patterson was born so he was umm 16 month ish. I just figured it was normal lol.

Oh Oh get a dysonI have an upright one we got it on special for about $400 and I LOVE it our new carpet always looks new and it even made the old stuff look pretty good. It also works really well as a walker Patterson is always pushing it around the floor.

Mel and Sandra ~ Hope you guys have a ball at Gaga, should be alot of fun from all that I have see on the news.

Marika ~ I hope that you are feeling better soon. Isn't it the bees kneez when they say they love you or Daddy or anything really I love hearing thos words. Harry loves giving cuddles at the moment.

Sandra ~ I could understand how it would be sad, I never realized that you and Bo had never devorced. As you said it will be closure. :bighugs: Hope those boys of yours are well.

Mel ~ Can't believe that those sweet little girls of yours are almost 5, time flys, but I am sure that you know that.

Jodie ~ Hope that Kaidens roof got fixed up without drama.

Donna ~ How did you go at uni (sorry if you have already said)

Anyway all is going well here. Harry is now in a single bed and being really good, he has woken up the last few nights wanting breakfast at 1ish coz Patty has been waking him lol, we had to give him some yoghurt to get him back to bed lol.
Patterson scared the bejesus out of me the other day he was cutting a tooth and had a temp I didn't think anthig of it until I couldn't keep him awake he was like a sack of spuds, I took him to the doc and he said strait off there was something wrong. Turns out he has broncitis and he had a massive temp (well it was 39 and that seemed pretty massive to me) He is on AB's and seems fine now, he even stood up by himself in the middle of the room by himself before, and he is starting to take steps between things, sad.gif growing up too quick.
I am 17 weeks now, this baby has me puzzled I have felt it but not very often somedays it really worries me, I see the doc on Monday and should get a referal for my morph scan biggrin.gif . We are going to try and find out what this bub is but not tell anyone IRL, I am so excited.

Ok so you are all probably drowsy now from reading my stories lol, please forgive the spelling I am too tired to even think of reading this back.

Night all :waves to anyone I missed
chaosprincess
Hi Kat waves.gif Wow at Patterson taking steps! Yep they all grow up too quickly don't they!

I'm getting very excited about tonight!!!!!!!!!

I found William's wooden trains in the freezer this morning, apparently he needed them cold?? laughing2.gif
j-o-d-i-e
mel and Sandra have fun tonight

Sandra, i always thought you were married to Ryder..hope your feeling better about it all now biggrin.gif

Kat, sad.gif poor Patterson, that would have been a worry...yay to him alwamots walking,w hat a clever boy. And well done to Harry in his big boy bed.

marika, cute Grace saying i love you to her daddy, very sweet.

jo we have a nilfisk, not very $$ but does the job, we only have carpet in the bedrooms and a mat in the loungeroom.

today we started painting Kaiden ceiling, what a sh*tty job lol
will start on the rest of his room next week when DH has his 4 day break.
boys are doing well but Kaiden tends to push the limits often, he is way to cheeky for his own good! lol
chaosprincess
Just poppin in to show off some photos I took friday night in my sig biggrin.gif

Was such an AWESOME concert, loved it!
Abbygirl

Great photos and sig Mel, you obviously had an awesome night with Sandra, don't know how you can walk in stilettos though!
Been meaning to ask, how is Will going? Do you know what was wrong with him, was it his molars? sad.gif
Just so you know; signatures are allowed to be up to 50KB now instead of 30, it was changed a couple of months ago!
Hope you made a bucket load of $ from your Garage sale, we're going to have another in a couple of weeks, we need some cash!

Yuck Jodie, I can imagine getting a nasty headache from all the looking up when you paint a ceiling.
Ooo cheeky Kaiden, I think Gracie is the same.
Hope you’re feeling a bit better.

Oh Kat how scary about Patterson's nasty turn, hope he's ok now sad.gif
Such a clever little man taking steps already, he'll be keeping up with Harry soon!

awwwwwwww Donna, cute Toby wub.gif
Gracie hasn’t said it since, so now I'm all sad.

(I was popping in to show off my sig too Mel biggrin.gif )
We had a good weekend, went to the show held here in our town on Saturday, was lots of fun, we even let Gracie out of the pram (unusual for us as she's a runner) and she was so good, she sat on our laps and watched the police band while bopping and singing along.
We ate a massive bag of hot cinnamon doughnuts, petted all kinds of funky animals and had a merry time. She definitely appreciated it much more this year, and next year she'll find it even more fun original.gif
Today we had BIL, his wife and 5mth DD over, they ended up staying for dinner, I had a couple of beers (which went straight to my head) and I made us a yummy roast chicken.... mmmm I want more now....
Maybe I’ll look for something sweet to eat.....

Hope everyone is well!

poss71
Marika, looove your sig! the hats are so gorgeous on your little miss.

Mel, you were up pretty close, weren't you?! Great sig. Hope you had a ball. Oh, did you see Hungry Beast last week? "If Lady Gaga wasn't famous" skits all the way through, eg washing her own clothes at the laundromat (clank, clank, rattle) PMSL. laughing2.gif

Sandra, is it something you can talk to R about? I guess it's a bit hard to. I hope you have sorted through your feelings of sadness. Regret is such a difficult thing to deal with. All I can suggest is give your boys a big cuddle, all three of them. hhugs.gif

Kat, do you have an anterior placenta? Or are you just busy, do you think? I didn't feel Meggie moving around much, but at 17 weeks, I don't think I really felt anything at all. I really noticed it closer to 20 weeks I think. Poor Patty. I hope he is doing better now.

Thanks for the vacuum cleaner advice, ladies. Duh, I have a Choice membership and haven't looked it up yet. I am thinking a Dyson too, our current vacuum is a Wertheim but the motor is on its last legs (OK, so it's 12 years old). $385 for their brand replacement or $265 for a cheapie motor, was the quote. I can get half a Dyson for that! Have to see what DH likes 'cause he's so tall. He needs the longest reach telescopic handle (but it means he does most of the vacuuming!), but I think Dyson ones are OK for height...

Well, I can top Patty's temp unfortunately. Eleanor is cutting her 2yo molars (as I mentioned). So, she had high-ish temps on Wednesday night and Thursday, ranging from 37.5 to 38.3, and I was giving her Panadol and Nurofen to keep it down as best as I could. But I took her to the doctor on Thursday at midday and she spiked a temp while we were in the waiting room. sad.gif One minute she was sitting happily drawing, the next she was whingey and crawling all over me and trying to get Meggie out of the pram so she could sit in it. The doctor said "oh my God" when she took the temp, 40.3. oomg2.gif all right! So she's on ABs for an unidentified bacterial infection the doctor said is "in there somewhere". The temp has been normal since Friday, but she stayed home from CC. I had to go to work so took Meggie to CC and Eleanor stayed home with DH (nice bonding time original.gif ). Poor baby, but you wouldn't have known it on Friday, she was chirpy and played with daddy happily all day.

Eh, time for bed. Night all. Take care.
chaosprincess
Thanks Marika, I'm not really in to making sigs any more, I whipped that up in a couple of minutes and then just saved it at what I thought would come under the guidelines biggrin.gif But that would explain why sigs look brighter these days. It was just a 24 hour thing with William, not sure if it is his molars, I can't see any yet, but he has been grizzly lately. Made under $100 at the garage sale, wasn't very busy, but at least I got rid of a few things and making any money off things you don't want is better than having them clutter up your house. Though I left the stuff out in the uncovered garage last night because I was too busy to bring it in and it rained glare.gif Love your new sig wub.gif

I had a rough morning actually, I forgot to set my alarm and woke at 8am, realised it had rainied so raced out and brought stuff in. Then the girls were half an hour late to school wacko.gif My lower back is aching because it's that time of the month too, overall crappy start to the day!!

Jo - nah didn't see Hungry Beasts, sounds funny though. We were quite close, but those were photos I took from the screen doing close ups laughing2.gif So they had their cameras zoomed and I had mine zoomed as far as I could and that's what we came up with LOL
happinesswith2blue
waves.gif
gorgeous sig Marika. Grace is just gorgeous and so are her hats biggrin.gif
Sounds like you all had a lovely family day out at the show.
Oh no had getting Mastitis. I feel your pain. Hopefully it's all cleared up now. Hopefully, now you don't get sick again anytime soon.

Jodie- Painting the roof is hard hey. It is the worst bit of all. It will ook good once it's done. What colour are you painting the walls?
I still have to paint Aston's room and all the skirting boards and door and window frames. I just want it all done. It does get expensive thats for sure.

Kat- How scary that must have been. Glad Patterson is heaps better.
Wow, you are going to find out the sex of bubs. What do you think you are having? I'm excited for you and Joel biggrin.gif When is your next scan?
4 times
How is Harry going in his single bed? I'm going to put Cohen in his soon. I'm getting sick of him sleepin in our bed. It now has turned into a habit, that now I have to break. I just not prepared for the screaming that will happen.

Donna cclap.gif on Ben rolling. Hasn't time gone fast. I can't believe he is nearly 4 months. How's Toby. How are you finding Uni?

Mel- How was the garage sale. Ryder needs to do one with the the crap that he has in the shed laughing2.gif Maybe I should do one for him.
How was the girls Birthdays. I bet they had lots of fun. They are just gorgeous.
How cute were the 3 of them in your bed, when we got back from gaga. Gorgeous photo moment wub.gif
Has Fergus gone now?

Jo- Poor Eleanor. That sure was a high Temp. Glad she is feling better now though.

Ryder has been fantastic with my divorce and stuff. He rang me 4 times the other the day to see how I was. Anyway, I'm feeling heaps better.

Lady Gaga with Mel was soooo good. She put on a fantastic show.

I have Andersons coming soon to give a quote on carpet for the rooms. I dont have any money for it yet,but just want an idea of how much it will cost, even if I just do a room at a time laughing2.gif

waves.gif

joka
rolleyes.gif Now I am starting to worry, silly probably but the doc couldn't find a heart beat today, he thinks I may have an anterior placenta, but he should still find a heartbeat right?
He is not too worried but boy I am sad.gif Our scan is booked for next Monday so waiting waiting....

Sorry for the ASW post sad.gif
chaosprincess
I hope everything is ok Kat, I think that would freak any mother to be out. A whole week until your scan omg! Can you go back and have a check up with a doctor to see if they can find a heart beat in the meantime? The waiting would kill me I think.

Sandra - yeah it was so cute William asleep in my bed too. The girls often sleep in with me, but I was surprised he went to sleep in there! Little cuties.
Abbygirl
Definitely not an ASW post Kat!
I had an anterior placenta with Grace and the DR's did have a little bit of trouble finding her HB but they all managed to get it.
Hmmm the DR should have checked it out a bit more though....
When was the last time you felt the baby moving?

BBL for a better post original.gif

Sorry I've been MIA for a bit, busy busy busy. I've gone back to doing my Masters and had an assignment due ohmy.gif .

Vacuum - we have a Dyson..... I was amazed and kind of disgusted at how much it got up the first time we used it sick.gif . Jo, your welcome to borrow it to see if it is what you want.

All the spiking temps..... scary stuff. Arch had a gross bottom, I figured it was teeth related, they havent come thru yet tho huh.gif

Kat - definitely not ASW - maybe it's a girl giving you grief as a sign of things to come:grin:

Sandra - about the divorce, you have moved on, you have 2 lovely boys with a man you love..... your Ex has moved on too..... maybe this might inspire Ryder and you wont be "single" for long wink.gif
poss71
Kat, not ASW at all. At least if your doctor didn't seem concerned, there is some reassurance - although it isn't going to stop you worrying until Monday. I hope it comes around quickly and it's just the anterior placenta making it tricky for him to find the HB.

Lia, thanks for the offer. I might have taken you up on it but...

We have our Dyson!!! Yay eexcite.gif DH collected me at lunchtime to go and pick it up from DJs (they have 15% off and my DJs gift cards had finally arrived in the post). He spent the afternoon vacuuming all our carpets, but left a strip for me to do, God bless him wub.gif

So jealous at the toddlers saying "I love you" - we haven't heard it yet. Eleanor says "mummy pretty" (lots of coaching from DH there) and "silly daddy" ddance.gif , soo much better than "silly mummy" laughing2.gif .

Lia, how brave are you?! Good on you for going back to do your Masters. Are you enjoying the 'uni' life? biggrin.gif I hope your assignment went well.

DH is off to Hobart again tomorrow until Friday. *sigh* I'm using his vacuuming and hot chocolate-making facilities while I still can laughing2.gif

OK, I can hear the washing machine beeping. Time to hang out some washing then off to bed. Take care all. 'Night.
*~*ME*~*
Kat i would be demanding an ultrasound earlier for your peace of mind. you poor thing. fingers crossed it is all ok. I had an anterior placenta and the drs/midwives always found a heartbeat.. but i didnt have much movement at all until 25 weeks.
wil27
Hi all,

Just checking in - been MIA as we've had some family stuff going on.

Kat and Sandra - bbighug.gif
poss71
Wil, I hope things are going OK for you.

Well, I'd like to offer you all some advice...on what to do when your toddler tips 1 1/2 cups of cold cooked rice on the kitchen floor and then spreads it all over including throughout the (carpeted) living area.

I tried to sweep it up, but the grains were getting stuck on the brush and on the floor. Called mum, and she said to sprinkle sand on the floor then sweep it up - and not to use the vacuum cleaner because the rice grains get stuck in the hose and go mouldy sick.gif . Not in my new vacuum!

Well, it worked well in getting the rice up off the kitchen floor. But I had to wait for the rice in the rumpus room to dry out a little so I can pick it out of the carpet. *sigh* The kitchen floor is still a bit gritty and unfortunately Eleanor thought tipping sand on the kitchen floor was the best thing EVER!!!! She did help me sweep, was having a little too much fun cleaning up her mess though...I fear a repeat effort may be in the works.

So that was my afternoon. How was everyone else's? Tounge1.gif
