Morning

blondi - great news you are feeling sick.gif , yes a good sign tthumbs.gif Enjoy your coffee with the girls this morning, a break will do you good. Usuaslly my first appointment with OB is at 10 or 11 weeks, he doesn't see you before then.

bellyg- sounds like someone has a big crush, lol. Its good you got your belly looked at though, at least you now know it is something and you can keep an eye on it, rather then wondering.

ali - hope you are feeling better today, nice of DH to stay home and help out yesterday.

lara - poor Angus, he does seem to get sick alot, poor little man. Does DD get sick alot also? Maybe it would be worth speaking to your GP about it although some kids do just get sick alot and some don't.

seepi - I'm exhausted just reading your post, working 5 days, I don't know how you are managing to function. I am struggling working 3 days at the moment. By the time I get to school drop off and then drop Max off I am exhausted and I haven't even started the day yet. What other names do you like, what is your DD1's name again, sorry I have forgotten??

ninja.gif ninja.gif so better get back to it. I'm tired and worn out and its only 10am!
alimumof3
morning girls.
feeling awful today. DH has gone to work. i think i feel worse than yesterday. so heady and blocked up. and tired. He said he could aim to be home at 4.30 when the kids get up from their arvo sleep, just means i'll have to somehow get through 10.30-1.30 when they're up (well amelia is up but oliver is down for his morning nap now. which is an hour). 3 hrs seems sooooooooooooo long. sigh.
i really want to feel better for DD's party tomorrow. am trying to pump vitamins in them too so they are better for tomorrow too. DD is just a bit sniffly but not too bad, Oliver is worse but then the poor little thing has 4 molars and an eye tooth coming through at once, as well as a cold. poor little guy.

anyones toddlers hitting? Oliver thinks its hilarious to whack us with whatever he's holding. not funny. Poor DD is usually the recipient.

blondie well i think its a good sign you're feeling sick already. I was nauseous before I got my BFP this time.

Bellygood lol at you perving on your dr!

lara oh poor angus. sounds like what my DD went through. Id go see a paed if I were you. then they can push for an ENT to do grommets. the paed and ENT told me that when they have a weak area (ie ears) their poor little bodies are trying to sort that out that they get sick in other areas, ie chest infec, sinus etc. I found with DD once she had the grommets and the ear inf and glue ear were fixed she coudl handle other things a lot better and has rarely had the need for antibiotics since. ALthough, when we went to QLD in may, it was too humid for her so she did get ear infections up there.
Sccary
Hi everyone
I'M HOME!!!!
Well it was luxury to die for.
No kids
Sleep ins
Late nights
no middle of night wake ups
Drinking cocktails
swiming alone
massages/day spas/manicures/pedicures
not sharing my food laughing2.gif

the list goes on.....
We had a nice time the resort villas were as good as the pictures (if not better) They were totally private with your own 5mtr wall all around the villa and your own 10m x 3m pool right outside your bedroom. We did lots of swiming and nice to have the privacy biggrin.gif
We went to Ubud and had a day spa day. Dh had a nice 2.5hr massage and loved it!

Shhhhhh but we also had the 'next kid talk while away' DH is content with the 2 sad.gif BUT said if I felt I was 'not finished' he would be happy to have another, but would want to do it in the next 4 months or so as feels better now before we get our life 'back' and also would like a boy so would want to look into all thing to try to conceive a boy even knows this may not be the case would like to try our hardest wub.gif
Alos said $ would need to be reined in as it would make it tight for a few years until his business is really going well, and we would have to make the 2 kids rooms work somehow unsure.gif until we do extention as our plan (2-3 years)
So it is my decision and I am so unsure shrug.gif I don't want to get PG fat dry.gif taken this long to get back to weight/shape Also scared 3 will be too much and not enough time for each child.

BLONDIE: hope you are going ok, I haven't read

BEAGLE: How is it all going with DH? Thinking of you

ok I will go read now
Bel Rowley
Welcome back Sarina! I hope it's OK that I'm hating you just a little bit now Tounge1.gif. Your trip sounds so good. Very exciting about the baby talk too, big decision to make.

Littlemum - I would be struggling with 3 days of work too.

Ali - you poor thing you sound so miserable. If it's anything like what I had I know how crappy you must feel, I'm sure that 3 hours will be tough with the kids but thank goodness they are both good sleepers so you will have at least some reprieve.

Macca's was nice. I had a decaf latte, so that means I can have my normal caffeinated coffee this arvo. I must buy myself some decaf so I don't feel so bad about drinking it.
littlemumma
Sarina - welcome home original.gif Your trip sounds devine, I am so jealous. Go for number 3 I say, you will eventually get your weight back again. I have no idea how to conceive a boy even though I have two, lol.

We also had the 'discussion'' about a third baby on the weekend....it didn't go well. DH will not come around at all, absolutely no more...he said if we were going to have a third he would have preferred we have them all close together (not get passed baby stage and go back again)....I said fine lets go for it now then but he said no. I''m pretty down in the dumps about it, I have no idea how to change his mind.

blondi - I think a coffee a day would be fine.

I started on a new pill this month and it is so much better, haven't been sick at all yet original.gif
ellangel
Hi Gals,
Back from the library and then we have to be somewhere at 3.30pm for arvo tea and then I am out tonight for Melaleuca. Soooo, a busy day!

I wiil go backwards with personals.

Littlem - oh you poor love! I can think of nothing worse when 1 side wants another and the other doesnt! Please do not give up if a 3rd is what you really desire! Max is still a baby (well, to me he still is!) and am sure DH thinks of the $$$$ side of things also. He may come round still.

What pill WERE you on and what are you NOW on? Great it is not making you feel sick. I have been on loette every since Beagle recommended it!! LOL

Blondie - when I could stomach it, I had a coffee a day. It is fine! But I know, you get the guilts. The decaf tea/coffee is not too bad...I didnt mind them.

Sarina - Welcome home and back to reality!! Oh you are so lucky! Glad it was heaven for those few nights. You deserved it!
So, maybe welcome to the TTC'ers group with Lara and Triny?!!! Is that everyone? I cant remember.

Ali - Holli hits Ella (poor Ella - makes her so upset)...we dont make a big deal out of it and it seems to be getting less. There was a little girl in the library today with hair similar to Ella and Holli playfully went up to her and thumped her in the back!! I had to go and say sorry to the mum! She could not believe someone so little could act so cheeky! biggrin.gif (yes, there was that 'little' comment again!)

Sorry to hear you are unwell. Hope you can shake it by tomorrow. x
Sccary
oh LITTLEM I know wxactly how you are with DH. Mine has been like that for over 8mths now. Don't give up I just said nothing for months and brought it up while away (both relaxed, in good moods etc) you just have to pick the right time. Although my DH isn't exactly thrilled he will be smiling from ear to ear if we get a BFP, he was so disappointed a few months back when I thought I was PG (not planned) and turned out I wasn't. So for someone who doesn't want kids they do come around.

BLONDIE: I drank decaff while PG gave up all caff.

ELLANGEL: VElvet hits faith the same as holli (another cheeky monkey) faith gets so upset and cries too poor thing. Have to explain V is a baby and does not understand (well she does just pushes the boundaries rolleyes.gif )
ellangel
Littlem - Do you want ME to talk to your DH? roll2.gif He thought I was nice when we met on your holiday, right? LOL. So when are you booking that getaway to Bali? grin.gif
Serious though - yes, you do have to pick your moments.

I am pretty sure I could convince my DH if we were to have another. Who knows?
Did I just type that?

laughing2.gif

Bel Rowley
HEEEHEEE Ellangel all the preggies in here are making you clucky aren they biggrin.gif
ellangel
Blondie - I dont know if you would call it clucky as I see friends newborns and still think "night feeds, unknown crying, no routine", but it HAS got me thinking. LOL

Dh has just rang to say he will be going away all of next week. You get that
littlemumma
Afternoon,

Oh Ali - sorry I forgot to comment about the hitting. YES, Max was hitting Kai, he would just walk up and slap him accross the head for no reason ohmy.gif I ''think'' he may have stopped now though as I haven't seen him do it in a while. I would just tell Oliver that is not nice, poor Amelia we just pat gently and then show him a gentle pat. Good luck. Hope your day isn't too awful, its so crappy when you are not well.

Sharon - lol, sure you can talk to DH for me (yes he did like you)....GOOD LUCK. I thought I picked a pretty good time when we discussed it the other night, guess not. YOU ARE SO GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER BABY, I just know it!!! PILL - I was on dianne, now on Trifeme.

Sarina - don't worry, I am not giving up on DH, I will keep going. On Monday we went in to wake Max so we could go pick Kai up from school and DH was just staring at him asleep and said ""he is just so precious"", ....I turned around and said to him ""yes he is, I can't believe you don't want another one"", he just looked at me blank and I walked away.
alimumof3
welcome back sarina! sounds absolutely divine.
and yay on DH coming round to 3rd child! i def think if you don't 'feel' done then you aren't. i used to worry i wouldnt have time/love for two, but it easily came, and i'm sure it will again for the 3rd.

littlemumma oh i'm sorry DH is still refusing the 3rd. I remember when my DH said he was happy with 2 but not ruling out a 3rd, and i told him i wasn't done and i'd always regret not having anohter one, i always thought i'd have 3 or 4 kids, so he agreed once i'd spoken with him and he saw my side. and now there is no way he wouldnt want a 3rd!
and i mean i am totally happy with my 2, i just felt i needed another one. and yes its going to be hard, i have no illusions that it wont, but i know if i didnt have another one i'd regret it.
LOL at the comment you said to DH! you go girlfriend.

and i'm glad my cherub isn't the only younger sibling that loves to hit the older one. and like Max, it seems to be over the head. grr. i do tell him off and amelia tells him "we dont hit oliver, thats not very nice" and i've taught her to walk away.
he was going thru that stage awhile ago, then stopped, but started again. maybe cos he's not feeling well.

DH will def be home when kids wake up - thankgoodness!
bellygood
Sarina Bali sounds magic! Seems like the balmy nights have worked their charm and DH is now ready for next baby... I really like Ubud, more so than the coastal place (Kuta?). I stayed at Club Med Nusa Dua, many moons ago now, and had a nice week there though spent most of it out in mini-buses touring here and there. Club Med was a little too 40+ divorcees for me (I was in my 20s at the time, and travelling alone!).

Littlemumma my advice is to whisk DH away for a dirty weekend in Bali. He will probably come around to the baby idea, so to speak, or at the very least you get a great few days away! Plan 2: get him drunk and make him sign an approval form of some sort that you can then produce along with your BFP next month...

Blondie I went off the hot java in trimester one, just lost my taste for it. Now I'm back on one a day - fully caffeinated - and loving it. I kind of transitioned with 'half strength' for a while but now I'm back in the saddle. I also have the odd quaff of wine, probably two per week maximum? I went through a weird cheese and olives phase a few weeks back, but the recent vomiting bug (which saw an unholy blend of cheese and olives come back up again) has put me off for a while!

I'm going on the prowl this arvo, I want to have afternoon tea somewhere else, not here at home. DH will be late tonight, so it's time to get on the phone and invite myself somewhere. If all else fails, I'll be at Maccas!
ellangel
Man i need to get off here and get things done but cannot be bothered really.

QUOTE
YOU ARE SO GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER BABY, I just know it
No thank you . Maybe when Holli is 6! I am fully done unless it was an accident.

I think the perfect number is 4 kids and 2 girls and 2 boys. Same sex siblings for the kids and the pink and the blue for the parents. LOL.
If DH really wanted another I guess I would think about it for him...

OH Bellyg - Is the gold coast too far for arvo tea? Prowl on down.
QUOTE

alimumof3
i still have coffee. prob 2 a day.. ninja.gif otherwise i coudlnt get thru the day.
Bel Rowley
Ali - will you be definitely done after 3 or would DH consider another?

Bellygood - sick.gif to the cheese and olive fiasco. I'm now craving souvlaki after a discussion in Miscellaneous, but don't think that's such a good idea for me either.

Ellangel - For me 2 girls and a boy would be perfect. I want to outnumber the men Tounge1.gif.
alimumof3
blondie - i think DH will be done after 3. although he does always say "i'm not ruling anything out...but..." however I actually think i am done after this one. It feels right i think. also, 4 makes it hard with car, bedrooms etc. we just got a new car, don't particularly want to get another new one. HOuse would be v v cramped with 4 too.
Bel Rowley
That is true about 4. I remember always hating that we couldn't have a 'normal' car because we had 4 kids in the family. When we got a Tarago I got teased for coming to school in a giant condom laughing2.gif. Now I know big 4WDs are more in vogue but when I was growing up it was seen as dorky to drive around in anything other than a sedan (generally a Falcon or a Commodore!).
laraq75
Sarina - wow Bali really did wonders for the #3 talk that is great. I hope it happens easily for you.

Ali - Angus is a hitter and hair puller. I don't think it has helped that we kind of encourage him to go after her. But she really does like being chased around just doesn't like her hair being pulled. I agree about the #4 thing it changes everything in relation to cars and bedrooms. re. the grommets. I remember when your DD had them done. The dr wants to wait until he is 2 because they can get over all this sickness by then.

Triny - how are you and Jacqui feeling today?

Sharon - I will come and visit you in October. I am coming up for some child free time and I will be visiting my other friend in your suburb so I will pop over for coffee or something.

littlemum - I hope you can convince DH to come around to #3. Oh and to answer your question about DD. No she isn't a sick kid at all. She was sick a little bit when she was this age but nothing like Angus. At least he is not in hospital all the time like my friends little boy.

Some of you have probably already seen on facebook but my DD fell off her chair tonight and landed really hard on the floor boards. She has the hugest egg on her head.
seepi
Oh lara = poor Audrey.

Jasper is not a hitter, but he loves to throw things at people - especially heavy wooden blocks etc. So we have to watch out for that.

Sarina Bali sounds idyllic. I can't imagine having your own pool just outside the door - how fantastic. the place obviously worked it's magic on DH too!!

Blondi - I'm still not sure about Lilac as a name - I don't think DP is convinced anyway. His last name starts with L too, but it doest' bother me to have two L names. It is all too hard this time - I might just let him choose - although he always picks Elspeth, and I don't like it that much. Imagine of the poor child has a lisp.

There are so many restrictions on names - we can't have B or C names as they don't go with the surname, I don't want another A name (DD is Adele) and probalby not a J name (although i'd have A or J if we fell in love with a name maybe). Anyway - I think I'll put off thinking about it for a bit longer.

Ali I think I have caught your cold - I am so congested it is not funny. and I feel like I can't really take a day off work, cos it will look like I am trying to still be part time after I agreed to go full time.... Anyway = we get a long weekend this weekend, so I just have to last til the weekend and then I can rest a bit (I hope).
bellygood
Seepi I don't mind Elspeth though I get the lisp thing. I think she would just become Elsie though - is that good or bad??? What about Liesbeth/Liespeth (not sure of spelling)? Actually there are a heap of names with 'Lies' in them, all variations on Elizabeth I suppose. Are you having a girl, or is this just 'in case you have a girl'? We are still going with Macy for now though things can change.

Blondie going out for my hot java and morning paper soon while the others sleep... bliss. You know, last week I felt really huge and that my belly was poking out, now I feel back to normal, as if I could wear my normal clothes again. Odd. I have been wearing maternity jeans, maternity denim skirt and a shirred waist skirts religiously, just so much more comfy than things with buttons/zips. I am wearing a normal longish t-shirt today so really my belly can't be that big yet.

Three appointments today: builder in the morning, building designer/draftsman in the early afternoon, and 18m vaccinations sometime between 2-4pm (it's a drop in clinic). We are going to have to have a come to Jesus talk with this builder as we feel we have given up too much of our house in order to meet the (not unreasonable) price. The two main points of contention, in fact just one: we want to build our house up on the slopy block, not cut it in. It's not a massive slope so it won't be a split level home, there will be around 1 - 1.5m height difference from front to back, it's basically just building up a 'raft slab' eg a bit more blockwork, footing and concrete. instead of digging out a level building pad (cut and fill, which is cheap, easy, somewhat ugly and leaves the landowner with a retaining wall which may or may not cause water problems in future - is a cut and fill). That way, for example, you get a proper suspended deck, not one that's virtually on the ground. Some of the other things we have sacrificed I can justify eg a deck we can add on later, but this is so fundamental to the home and not something we can add later. It is totally doing my head in that builders can charge so much for so little - and this one is the cheapest and best of the lot. The truth is they make a lot more money and have far fewer headaches putting up little beige rendered boxes on 600m blocks in town than they do out of one-off homes like ours, so getting one to even quote is a hassle. They all just say $x per square meter- x ranging from 1200 - 1500. Our house is 1/3 deck - how can deck possibly cost the same as say a room with full exterior walls, interior walls, floor coverings etc?
Bel Rowley
M/s is back again this morning sick.gif. Not ideal for study, fortunately I feel it's pretty much under control. I figured out yesterday I can get anywhere between 17 and 36 out of 40 for this exam and will end up with a Distinction for the subject overall, so that takes the pressure off a bit.

Lara - I hope Audrey is OK, poor sausage! Nice to know I still have a couple of years of falling off chairs to look forward to with Claudia wink.gif.

Seepi - boo to the cold! I understand why you want to work a full week but if you do get really sick next week make sure you take the time if you need it. I see what you mean about Elspeth with a lisp, although I think it's quite pretty too. I was going to suggest Willow but that might be a bit too 'l' heavy with an L last name.

Bellygood - I'm going to try again to manage without buying much in the way of maternity clothes, but this time I definitely want some proper maternity jeans. With Claudia I wore my regular jeans with the button undone and a Bonds bump hugger thing over the top. Sounds like frustrating times with the builder, I think you are reasonable in expecting the deck to not cost as much as the actual house to build!
cassi8
waves.gif

ssorry.gif I haven't been around much. Its been a bit busy around here with all the cleaning, working and other mundane tasks with some icon hunting thorwn in for good measure! I have been reading though.

tthumbs.gif blondie on the sick.gif feels kinda weird saying that but hopings its all good news for you. original.gif Sounds like you are doing really well with study, it seems to be flying past.

More babies, I'm still not feeling the desire for the next one. I know it will happen at some point as we would both like 2 but it all seems too much hard work at the moment.

Sarina - I am glad Bali was so great for you and DH and that the discussions have opened up your options, even if the decision is a difficult one!

Throwing/Hitting. N doesn't hit much any more unless he gets frusted with us but he has discovered the joy of playing with balls. We have to watch we don't cop one in the back of the head when we aren't looking laughing2.gif This has also made it difficult to explaing that we can't throw all the toys, only balls!

Coffee - I don't see anything wrong with 1 or 2 coffees a day while pg. You may have a jumping bean in your tum wink.gif but if thats what gets you through the go for it! I had no issues with having my coffee. In fact now that I have money in my account I might go get one this morning as well! People forget as well that there is still caffeine in tea and cola and choc and pg women still consume them, especially the choc.

Us - not much apart from the above. Carpets are done which is good and enabled some inforced cleaning and decluttering over last weekend. The bathroom needs a bit of a touch up on paint and that will be finished after a good clean. More packing a decluttering to be done so we can paint the loungeroom, its looking a bit worn and could do with freshening up.

I need to go and get N some shoes fitted tomorrow, any suggestions on where to go? Are there any sales on that I need to know about??

Are all the Syd girls still good for meet up on Monday? I'll let you all know the exact location as soon as I remember the name of it as Bicentennial park is huge. I'm looking forward to it!
ellangel
Its ok Cass. We figured you were doing house stuff!

Blondie - yay on the sickness again this morning. This little one is gonna be a keeper!! I just know it.

Crazy weather here today. Windy, raining, sunny....make up your mind.

Got playgroup but really dont want to go as Holli just sits there and whinges anyway.

Tired from my Melaleuca training last night. Little me had to get up in front of 60 people and speak! I was so nervous but at least i didnt know about it beforehand. LOL

Gotta stroll to school. I have worked out it is 7 mins there and 7 mins back, so if I do this 4 times a day, there is my daily exercise! LOL. Its not all flat either. 2 hills.

BTW...Holli has ALL her teeth coming at once with no troubles. I have lost count how many she has. Both mine got them late and it didnt really cause too much grief.
