So now we're down to one income I don't think I can justify buying my expensive exfoliator any more. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced one (under $30) that is good for dry, slightly sensitive skin. I'd like one that I can whack on while I'm in the shower a couple of times a week if at all possible.

Thanks in advance! original.gif

I was actually using an oatmeal cleanser from the Body Shop as an exfoliant, I really liked it. It was about $17 from memory.

Of course, the Clarins one is much nicer but money being tight... ph34r.gif

Yup, the Body Shop has a few. Check them out online.
Biore has one.
J and J also have a 'cleansing/exfoliating' one.

ETA: Not sure about The Body Shop ones but Biore and J&J can be used daily. I tend to use every week or so.

I use the inside of an avocado skin. Once you scoop out the flesh, keep the skin. Cut it in half and rub it gently all over your face. It is a great exfoliator, and the tiny bits of avocado left make it perfect for dry skin.

Use a teaspoon of bi carb soda mixed in with your liquidy cleanser - don't add water. Gently exfoliate, then rinse. It's the best, most gentle, cheapest one you will find.

Trilogy have a lovely one which is under $30. I'm intrigued by the bicarb option and am going to try it out tomorrow.

I second St Ives.
Johnson and Johnson's isn't too bad either.

Mix some sugar and vegetable oil! Really cheap and your skin feels fantastic afterwards... if you don't want to use vegetable oil, you could mix it with a body wash...

I just use caster sugar and gently massage it onto wet skin in a circular motion, cheap and it works.
